Peaceful Country Hotel but rooms vary in qualityAs an old Georgian building, some parts will not match standards of modern hotels in terms of the building fabric (cracks, faded patches on walls, etc). My wife found our iriginal room too claustrophic but the hotel staff were very helpful and upgraded us to a delightful room with garden views. We found staff friendly andhelpful. The food was good - though the restaurant is quite pricey. The bar menu is more reasonable but we had some delay in serving the food when chooosing this option. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would choose to stay again if we could have our 'garden' room.

Very enjoyable stayVery nice hotel. Big spacious room and very quiet. Good quality food and beer. Only negative that I could mention is the shower often going from boiling hot to cold. This is a lovely hotel with friendly staff. Would definately stay here again.

Extremely comfortable bed, for once slept very well in someone elses bed.Very good food for supper and breakfast.Very amenable staff.Beautiful setting, nice walk around the Roman ruins before suppper.I could not have asked for more.

the room was very uncomfortably hot even after turning the radiator off. was kept awake off and on all night due to this factor .food was exceptional so would definatly go back to dine.

Consistant QualityI now only stay at this hotel when visiting the Norwich area. Always pleasant staff, and a relaxing stay. Free internet now added.

Lovely house, but there are signs in the room that it needs an update. The bathroom was very old and needs modernising. Other than that, a quiet place to stay.

Caister Hall Hotel is in a perfect location, easy to locate, the evening meal was superb, especially with their current 2 for 1 menu du jour deal, wonderful hotel, would recommend to anyone

The hotel is typical of the \"country house style\" with all that implies about slightly tired fixtures but a generally adequate level of comfort. The free WiFi is a helpful bonus, but the room furnishings provided no adequate work space within reach of a working power outlet.The mushroom paté was somewhat watery, but the poached salmon and well prepared vegetables made up for that, even if the desert seemed overcooked giving a crispy edge to the cake base.

Staff excellent; good atmosphere too. This wonderful old building is a joy to stay in. Evening meal was fine but the breakfast was only average. Room was nice and clean, good mattress too. Pocket sprung!

Caistor Hall Hotel is a pleasant, somewhat old fashioned hotel, it has charm and character in abundance. The setting is very peaceful. The food and wine was excellent, we were a quite diverse business party with very different tastes, but we all enjoyed the menu. The staff encountered were generally excellent and our rooms were very comfortable.A little confusion with billing and rooms revealed they are not really geared up for the business user, and a distinct lack of anywhere to have a small meeting or a table in the room to do work on was a bit baffling. These would be easily remedied, and it would become a first class venue for all types of user.

The industrial vent located immediately outside the window of this 'superior' room whirred and vibrated all night long preventing us getting any sleep, and the response from the hotel was far from understanding.

this was a very good location. initial impression of room was very surprising but then noticed the rising damp. Staff were extremely helpfull and polite.

I was upgraded for no reason which was a pleasant surprise. However I cannot comment on the standard room as I was treated to the sumptuous quarter. The room was outstanding and contained beautiful furniture and a huge luxurious bed. Unfortunately I had already eaten so didn't try the food. The hotel is set in its own private pedaceful grounds along with wild rabbits. Superb stay and will definitely be back.
