Friendly staff, nice location. Very old, not attractive, not clean. We did not have a good experience at the hotel. Apparently the exterminator was just there, and there were roaches every where. The good thing is that they were dead. We stayed here a couple of hours and left. Under normal circumstances, the hotel is old but well located. If I have to stay in the area another time, I will definetly stay away, pay a little extra and go somewhere cleaner.

My history with Choice Hotels to this point was always very good...until I came to THIS property. It was built right next to the interstate and the noise level was deafening. The pix on the website shows it to be well-appointed, but when you get there, the front office was new and completely separated from the sleeping areas which were old and in desparate need of revamping. Parking is only on one side of the building, so if you are in an even-numbered room, you have to schlep your baggage all around the property. I am a handicapped person and if I were alone, I would have had a terrible time getting my baggage to my room. I originally was given a room facing the interstate..even with the door closed, the a/c running and the tv on, you could barely hear yourself think. I called the front desk and was assigned a room in the back. It was quieter and on first appearance seemed to be clean and presentable. Then the fun started...when I was in the bathroom I caught a glimpse of something crawling across the floor...it was a roach. Then on my 2nd trip to the bathroom, along came another roach. My husband had to play "exterminator". We could hardly stand the thought of staying one more minute, but as we were exhausted from traveling, went to bed and at first light, immediately left. If I were a marketing person from Choice hotels, I would definitely dump this property as it's a blight on their good name!

Friendly staff. Great free breakfast. Responded to maintenance issue immediately. Was outside entry not realized in photos or hotel information. Hotel building is old with outside room door entry. It has been upgraded in the recent years but still has aged doors. The bathroom ceilings had an attempt to rejuvenate but some plaster was falling off. Beds were in good shape and comfortable. It seemed to be clean and well kept by the staff. A/C is window unit and set at lowest setting never got room cold until into the night. Over all for the value compared to the other chains in the area it was very satisfactory. I would consider staying there again. We were at a nearby family member home for most of the time so it was all we needed.

Close to interstate. Room did not smell clean. Our room smelled very bad and the air conditioner was very noisy. Had trouble sleeping because of the noise and bad smell.

Nice, clean hotel. But, be sure to ask for a room on the ""quiet"" side. The hotel is very near the I-10 and traffic noise on that side is a problem.
