West of town, take a relaxing drive on the Scenic Highway of Legends to Trinidad State Park for outdoor adventures. Small pets allowed for a pet fee per pet per night. Children 10 and under stay free in room with paid adult. Hotel front desk closes at 11pm. Please phone the hotel if you will be arriving later than 11pm.

There is NO breakfast (continental or otherwise) even though it was advertised as such. Used bar of soap from the previous occupant was in the shower - obviously not thoroughly cleaned. No hair dryer in the room. If all you want is a place to lay your head, then this is okay.

Nothing. They were closed and didnt answer the bell so we had to find somewhere else. Poorly lit parking, not 'right off the hwy' as advertised, closed and didnt respond to the bell to help us - it was dark and I had my infant son with me. Horrible service.

I just wanted to thank you for the lovely room. We arrived late last night exhausted and very much in need of a nice, clean room. Your room was lovely. It was so bright, fresh and clean. We had a lovely night's sleep. I don't ever do this, but I just wanted to tell you thank you! My wife felt the bright starched linen curtains in the bathroom were a welcome sight to weary travelers. Thanks again!

I stayed across the street at the Comfort Inn which was upstairs, truck stop, one face cloth,no internet, just plain run down. But did see the Budget Host the first night but my wife had made arrangements for the Comfort. Well I moved us to the Derrick Host Budget Inn the next day and I am totaly satisfied 100% Clean , Freshly painted, Internet Service, Backed right up to the Door, X & Y (the owners) were on site and super friendly. If you are thinking of another motel or hotel in the Trinidad area , don't bother looking and save some time and just go to the Budget Host Motel while in Trinidad,Colorado Many Thanks Again X and Y

Nice hotel, manager is very friendly, rooms are immaculate, great view of snow covered mountains. Nice park area in front of hotel,close to services
