Most spacious and quiet beach - there were always beach huts available. We hardly saw any kids and no loud/obnoxious people like the high-rise area which makes this the perfect spot for a couples vacation. Pizza Bob's or subway is right across the street for an inexpensive meal and they have the Pirates Nest restaurant right on the beach aside from other restaurants within walking distance at the other hotels. There is not much shopping in the are, you would have to go to either downtown (cheaper) or the Paseo de Herencia mall in the high-rise area.

This is a wonderful place to stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and had an ample amount of space. The bed was comfortable (and I'm very hard to please when it comes to beds). The complementary breakfasts were top notch; made to order eggs and pancakes, along with anything else you could want. It is located right on the ocean, along one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in Aruba. We stayed at the Tara wing in which all of the roooms look out on the beach. It truly was a remarkable place! We will definitely stay there again. The only drawback I can think of was the food on property (except for breakfast, which was included) was quite pricey. We ate off property most of the time.

We had stayed here previously, making a reservation through their website. This time we booked with travel website. We planned the trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The resort traditionally treats its guests to a Champagne reception, well not this time, we received a "boot" reception. We were booted out of the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we were told they were OVERBOOKED and we could not stay at the hotel that night. Even though we had made the reservation over 7 weeks prior and paid in advance. My reservation through travel website was not honored. We both needed a vacation and this was a hassle. We were transported to the Radisson for the 1st night. The Radisson is a high rise with a small crowded beach. We did not sleep well due to the John Deer convention partying late into the night. The Radisson staff was very hospitable, but that is not where we wanted to be. The next day this resort allowed us to come back and we spent the rest of the week here as planned. My husband requested our first night be creditied or refunded to us since we paid to stay at this resort and wasn't able to. The resort considered it and later agreed to give a credit to our account of 1 nights charge, valid for dining, their spa or gift shop. We were also welcomed with an entire bootle of champagne in our room plus snacks. We did leave happy- the place is paradise! Lesson learned - book through resort directly for a guaranteed reservation. I don't know if travel website will print that but that was our experience in February 2009. I would pay the extra money, it was a hassle.

This was our first vacation to Aruba and first stay at the Bucuti. Having done a lot of research, we decided we definitely wanted and "eco-friendly" tourist spot and a peaceful, quiet location. We found this at the Bucuti. The location is absolutely the best on the island. The staff were helpful, very friendly and not intrusive. Rooms are not luxurious but certainly adequate and beds very comfortable which is always important. Breakfast was complimentary and a tropical feast of fresh fruits every day. Lunch was good and enough options, however, dinner was very disappointing...over-priced and poor quality. There are many other options for dining on the island but it would be nice to have a decent quality restaurant for dinner at the Bucuti. Bucuti also advertises itself as an adult resort, however we too, saw kids on beach and at pool. All in all, a wonderful hotel with a spectacular location for a vacation.

The Bucuti is located at a great spot along the beach, and is removed from all of the hectic activity of those vacationers staying at or near the highrise hotels. That said, you're only a 5 minute ride away from all of the shops and activities located near the highrises. There is a lot to do in Aruba, but trying to get to everything without a rental car can become prohibitively expensive. You should DEFINITELY rent a car--it pays for itself each time you travel away from the Bucuti (and reserve the car BEFORE you arrive on the island! The likelihood of you walking in to a car rental location and renting a car on-site is essentially zero,). But if you're not the type for leaving a resort, then the Bucuti can accommodate that as well.

The Bucuti is on a great stretch of beach (Eagle Beach). We had stayed at the Hyatt two years ago and found this beach to be better, less crowded than the Hyatt. The service was superb, all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Do make use of the concierge for making any reservations for you. Overall a very pleasant stay and we would come back.

The Bucuti was a great place to stay, especially for couples of all ages. Younger couples, though, may want to stay in the high rise area at Palm Beach because Eagle Beach and the Bucuti were blessedly quiet and serene. The hotel was clean; the air conditioning and dehumidifiers worked well; the staff was always pleasant and helpful, the concierge desk especially so. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

This was our first trip to Aruba. Not knowing anything about the island, we got lucky and found heaven on earth. This place is immaculate. The staff is superb. The beach is delicious. I wish I could keep this place all for myself. My wife and I are anxious to book a return trip.

First, I should say that we did not stay in the Tara Wing (the newer wing), but loved our room in the Bucuti wing. The building is set back only slightly further from the beach than the Tara wing and we still felt like we were just steps from the beach. Our room was very modern, overlooked the interior grounds with a small view of the ocean, which was great and unexpected. Although the room smelled a bit when we entered (they apparently have a moisture problem there), we never noticed it again because of the humidifier in our room that was running the entire time (and kind of nice sleep noise). We felt relaxed almost from the moment we arrived. During check in we were offered champagne, which was wonderful after a long trip. We did not venture outside the resort other than for dinner and to visit a couple of casinos. Our goal was to have a relaxing beach vacation. The beach was wonderful -you don't feel crowded or rushed to go reserve a chair and palapa. There are always plenty available. And the view is just breathtaking and the atmosphere so quiet! Breakfast on the deck overlooking the ocean each morning was lovely, although the breakfast itself was nothing great. They do have made to order eggs and pancakes and french toast. We loved the pancakes and got them every day! I think the key with the breakfast is just finding something you really like and going with it. Happy hour happens 2 times a day from 4-6 and 9-10 and drinks are 1/2 price. You can ask for a big red umbrella when you get your towels which you use to get beachside drink service. Put the umbrella in the sand and someone is by your side within minutes to take your order! That said, it can be so hot that your frozen drinks may melt a bit before getting back to you. But you are just steps from the bar, so not a big issue to get the drinks yourself, too. Was a bit rocky getting into the water, but only at the start and did not stop anyone from swimming in that gorgeous water. The water and beach are abs

This was my first trip to Aruba, planned as a surprise for my husband's 60th birthday, and it couldn't have been a better experience. I chose the resort after viewing many others online and reading reviews. The cost of the room included full buffet breakfast each morning. We wanted a quiet 'couples' vacation and it was amazing. Everyone we met at the resort from the check-in, the conceirge, bar tenders, and house cleaners were all friendly, polite and always accomodating. The room was always immaculate, the beach was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. They even had 'Movie on the Beach Night!" I've never had a better vacation and can't wait to return to Bucuti Beach!!!!

We enjoyed every moment at the Bucati. If you are looking for a quiet serene vacation this is the place to stay. The people are incredible and go above and beyond for their customers. The beach is the absolute best on the island with lots of room and scenic view. We loved the food at the "Pirates Nest Restaurant" located on the property. We would recommed the all day jeep tour, the sunset sail and the submarine ride. We will gladly go back and stay again hopefully soon!

The Bucuti made our honeymoon unforgettable. My husband and I stayed in the Tara Suites. The rooms were amazing, very romantic. The Bucuti has the best beach on the island. We rented a car for 3 days and each day when we left the hotel to do an activity we were so excited to return to our amazing view. We ate lunch everyday on the beach. That was a very nice bonus. The breakfast was a little weak but it was free. We were a little worried about the pool after reading many reviews but to be honest we never went in the pool. The beach was where we spent all our time. We were also considering an all inclusive resort but we are so glad we did not. The food on the island is so good. We went out to eat every night. It was so exciting to treat ourselves to a nice meal everyday and to try new cuisine. Don't worry about making any arrangements for tours or excursions, they take care of everything for you. You just let them know where you want to go and they make all of the reservations. They will leave a little note under your door after the reservation has been made. To save a little money we went to the grocery store and bought a cooler and beer. Everyday we would fill the cooler with ice and beer and head to the beach. A lot of couples did this. I hope I have helped make your decision about the Bucuti. You really can't go wrong with the Bucuti. Have a nice trip.

The Aruba Bucuti Beach Resort is a lovely low-rise hotel with friendly, well organized, and efficient staff. The layout is gracious, elegantly simple, and comfortable. A wide, well-maintained beach, and a nice pool are immediately available. The ocean-side restaurant is decent and not pricey. The exercise room is outdoors, not air-conditioned, but has adequate equipment. The business room is well equipped. There were few children at the resort, so it is quiet and relaxed. The staff are uniformly helpful and knowledgable. We had a lovely time.

We went on our honeymoon and had an EXCELLENT time. We stayed in the Tara suites and they were fantastic. Updated and modern. Some reviews complain about the mildew smell, well, welcome to the caribbean! I have been to the caribbean and have never stayed in a hotel without that smell. Bucuti does a great job keeping the mildew down with dehumidifiers. The beach is one of a kind. We went to visit the high rise hotels and they have very little beach and their beach umbrellas are no more than 5 feet from one another. At Bucuti, your closest umbrella is about 15 to 20 feet away and wide open. There is ALWAYS an umbrella open on the beach and no need to get up early to reserve one. The beach food was good. The cheeseburgers were by far the best! We did not eat at the pirates nest because the menu did not appeal to us. Driftwood was great. Blossoms was good. Pizza Bobs was good, don't expect TRUE pizza. Suggestions: DePalm snorkel tour had around 100 people snorkling, very crowded. Shop around for a smaller tour. Horseback riding was nice. Buy a cooler, beer, snacks and things at the supermarket on the first day, it will save you a lot of money. Beer at pizza Bob's was * for 4 beers, the store is closer to * a beer. The whole Island is expensive, so just realize that. We ended up buying snacks and beer and taking it to the beach everyday. The only thing we bought was the cheesburger for lunch which they brought right to our umbrella. A great, uncrowded, beautiful beach and resort. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the Bucuti for our honeymoon. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with champagne. Check-in was easy and the staff were all very helpful and polite. They are constantly cleaning the hallways and stairways because of the constant influx of sand, so it always looks clean. The beach is gorgeous. It is never too crowded and is very peaceful. We spent most of our time on Aruba relaxing under a hut on Bucuti's beachfront. I particularly liked how Bucuti has made available book cases filled with books for you to take out on to the beach. It was a very nice touch. (As this was out first island getaway vacation, I'm not sure if other beach hotels offer books as well.) The bartenders at the beach bar were all very funny and friendly. We ate dinner at the Pirate's Nest our first night there. The food was delicious. We will definitely be staying at the Bucuti again.

My wife and I recently traveled to Aruba for the first time and chose to stay at the Bucuti Beach Resort for our anniversary based upon recommendation from a friend and online reviews. What interested us most about the Bucuti Beach Resort was it's "adult only" reputation, however this was not the case during our stay. Although we did not see children on the hotel premises, they were present daily on the beach as well as the hotel pool. Needless to say, this was disappointing, especially since we selected Bucuti mainly because it was advertised as "adult only". We figured since that the Bucuti Beach resort is "sandwiched" between two other resorts that are more "family friendly", there were no clear "boundaries". Not to mention that for the five days we were there, not once did we see security enforce this policy, let alone any security at all.Upon our initial check-in, we were greeted with a glass of champagne which we thought was a nice touch. Overall, the concierge and receptionists were very friendly and helpful. They booked all of our evening activities and even provided us with a detailed itinerary. However, even though we originally booked a Garden View room with a king-sized bed, we ended up with two full size beds. The room was comfortable, clean, and adequate, but I would recommend that visitors bring their own soap and shampoo since the hotel is "environmentally friendly" and does not use liquids in plastic containers. The food at the Pirate's Nest was surprisingly good and reasonably priced for a resort. We especially enjoyed a romantic dinner on the beach and highly recommend it to all couples. Overall, Bucuti is a nice resort, but be prepared to deal with crying kids on the beautiful beach, contrary to Bucuti's "theme".
