Everything was fine. There was no minibar in the room so had to drink tap water from the bathroom.

Good location for visiting Exeter. Opposite hotel is lane to the River Exe and from here you can follow good walking and cycle paths to Exeter quayside and on into the city centre; about 40 minutes' walking from hotel to city centre.

One nights stay on businessStayed one night on business, called ahead to arrange for a late check in. Staff were accomodating and room service sandwiches were good quality, just what was needed after a long drive.Breakfast the following day was very good. Their breakfasts are cooked to order as well, which makes a pleasent change from the buffets I normally get. Had a childish moment and went for the dippy eggs and soldiers, set me up for the day.Overall a good quality hotel for the brass, a collegue stayed at a fine hotel in Exeter (twice the price) and complained about it all day.

Buckerell Lodge Review Although it is some months since my last visit to Buckerell Lodge, I was remembered by the staff and they welcomed me back enthusiastically without even having to ask my name. (Jenna, Maria and Erika) The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The customer service, for both accommodation and conference facilities is excellent. I also congrtualte Buckerell Lodge on their choice of toiletries in being SLS and paraben free. It is always a pleasure to stay here and I look forward to returning. Thank you

Return to Exeter. We chose Buckerell Lodge because, having lived in Exeter for a number of years, it is ideally located for exploring the town and surrounding area. The service was impeccable and the room had everything a visitor needs. Clean and modern, and quiet, to allow a good nights sleep. The garden is beautiful and there is ample parking. Although we didn't have our evening meals in the hotel, the breakfast was superb, with a varied choice to suit all tastes. All in all, I would recommend the Buckerell Lodge against most of the other hotels in Exeter.

Excellent FoodThe dinner was excellent with a good wine list and friendly but professional staff. The room was hot (the weather was rather humid) and there was no air conditioning. There was a wedding reception the night of our visit so it was rather noisy and the bar area was taken up by the wedding guests, so that there was nowhere to relax after dinner. Overall though the standard was very good.

Quality motelThis is clearly a motel, but at the upper end of the scale. Our room was fairly quiet, but we were fortunate to get a back corner room. Well signed and therefore easy to find. Courteous personel at desk.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always found the staff friendly & the rooms spotlessly clean.

I upgraded to an executive room. Not a great idea. The difference between standard and executive wasn't great. The room had everything that you could wish for, however, every single sound from the room above, and I mean every single sound, was clearly heard. I felt intimate with a person that I had never met, nor wished to meet. Reception staff couldn't be described as welcoming. They did their job, not speedily, not with any great engagement, or charm. They did their job. I didn't feel made welcome. I felt like a sausage in a sausage factory. Overall, the best that I could say was.....it was ok. I wanted to scream 'don't do it' to the people checking out the place as a wedding breakfast venue.

MixedSome things and some not so good. I specifically asked about disabled facilities and then found them very lacking. Response to queries was prompt but inaccurate and could have been very difficult. Impression the hotel does not cter or care for people with disabilities. The food was very very good but not cheap.

Room Ok - but small. Walls paper thin so could hear every word of next door's TV programme... Staff very good and friendly. Overall perfectly fine for a one night stay

Stayed for 2 nights and would definitely stay again. Rooms are good size, clean and well furnished. Evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Wine selection a little limited but the bottle order was reasonable price and quality. Reception and waiting staff were very polite and accommodating.
