I had a King Suite and the room was fantastic. The bathroom was huge, the bedroom area was nice, but the living room with fireplace, large plasma TV and refrigerator and microwave was excellent. I enjoyed the charm of staying in a renovated commercial building with exposed brick and wood beams. It was a comfortable, welcoming place to stay.

Historically interesting, great location and a unique experience. Sound proofing wasn't as good as on some modern hotels.

Brookstown Inn was like a trip back to the luxury of the golden old days. The Inn is a converted textile mill from 1837. The room are huge, yet confortable. Just a short walk to Old Salem.

Location. Staff seemed disinterested in it tasks. This Inn has gone remarkably downhill in the several years we have been staying there. While it is reflected in lots of little details, it is basically an attitude of staff, with the exception of the lady servicing the breakfast who was very busy but warm, friendly and helpful.

The old time feel. Gentleman at the front desk. Not informative or helpful in anyway. Overall, I liked the hotel and will gladly stay again.

I have nothing bad to say about it. It was easy to find and neat because it was a cotton mill. Th only thing is the bathroom needed some work. I really liked it because it was a cotton mill and it was cozy. The dining room was very nice and their breakfasts were the best I have ever seen in a hotel.

Unique and historic, great location. Small room, a bit stuffy. This restored textile mills retains an old-world Moravian charm while providing a reasonable array of upscale services. Exposed beams and high ceilings make for an attractive and unique experience. The hotel is within walking distance of old Salem and Downtown businesses.

Location and amenities. Painters were renovating room next to mine at 6am on a Saturday. The hotel is excellent and location is great and parking is ample.

The staff was fantastic. The room was architecturally interesting. TV very small. Would have appreciated throw rugs on hardwood floors. The building was a renovated textile mill. The architecture was very interesting. The staff at the front desk was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The continental breakfast was very good as was the wine and cheese reception. Be sure to eat dinner at the Cotton Mill, the hotel's attached restaurant; food is fabulous and service is top of the line. Across the brick courtyard is Winston Salem's visitor center. You must stop in there and talk to the staff and eat Moravian cookies!

Wonderful historic feel. It was a little noisy from hard floors on floor above. Our room (king) was enormous and had a wonderful feeling of history with the brick walls, 15-20 foot ceilings and quilt on the bed. The bath was a little disappointing in terms of luxury but was clean and functional. The breakfast was very good but not impressive. I would heartily recommend this hotel.

All of it was excellent. This is a hotel in an old cotton mill. The facilities are excellent including a reasonable gym. The adjoining restaurants are both wonderful. The rooms were large and well maintained. For someone visiting Old Salem this is very convenient. But more importantly, for anyone visiting Winston Salem - it is also well situated and very comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay, I felt very comfortable and very welcomed to be a guest. I did not find anything about my stay and would go back; my only complaint was that I could not stay longer. I was well assisted in all my needs, I believe that the staff on duty were exceptional informative as well as friendly and made me feel like I was home, my only sadness was not staying longer then I had but would return anytime.

Cozy and romantic if you like antique, I loved it. The street lights greatly shined in our windows. It was beautiful for historic downtown. The room was cozy for my wife and I. I would recommend it.

The historic nature of it, and well maintained! The bedding and mattresses need to be upgraded! Brookstown Inn was awesome for our needs; a getaway weekend without the kids. Historic, well maintained, good European breakfast and local wines and cheeses comp'd at night. Close to vibrant downtown. Great restaurants in the hotel and nearby. Wish we were there again right now.

The size and layout of the room was wonderful. I can't think of a thing. The Brookstown Inn was conveniently located close to old Salem. We checked in and never had to move our car until we checked out. All tourist attractions, restaurants and shops were within walking distance of the hotel. The wine and cheese reception was very welcoming and the chocolate chip cookies and milk at bedtime was very comforting.

Ambience. Nothing. Good value. Great rooms and public areas. All told a good deal.
