hotel at airportA very handy hotel if you have to catch an early morning flight or arrive back late at night. As it is within walking distance of both the airport and the metro it is in an ideal situation. The staff were friendly and helpful. The meal in the bar was just what was needed after a day at work then a train journey from Edinburgh and before an early night and an early flight! The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

The hotel was a great value for being located on airport property. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall I had a great hotel experience.

Convenient location for Newcastle AirportWas my 2nd time of staying here. The non-sound proofed rooms are reasonable for the price, but can also be a little hit and miss (had hot water this time but room radiator was luke warm even on max). Rooms are not as clean as you would hope plus black mould on windows and red mould on shower & dust on bathroom ledges etc. Advisable for early breakfast request (for delivery to your room), to be submitted at the friendly staffed reception. This 24hr room service & free Wi-Fi is very convenient likewise the airport which is a just few minutes walk away. Free Airport trolleys available normally at the main door of the hotel; although getting the airport entrance with a trolley itself couldn't be done using the heavily curbed paths - really need to negotiate the airport carpark and barriers.

Very efficient staff. Hotel was exactly what we wanted as we flew into airport and were leaving again on an early flight the next morning - so convenient! Bar area and snack menu were very good, but would have liked to see a menu for the restaurant before going into that area.

This is the worst airport hotel i've ever stayed at. The staff were great but the quality of the rooms is very poor. The first room I was given had to be changed due to the mattress being so worn you could feel every spring and on one side it was like it had a hole in it. in short you could not sleep in it. The second room was a little better but again the mattress was of poor quality. I know we did not pay a lot of money for the room but the basics should be of a better standard. The noise in the hotel was unbearable and I eventually got out of my bed at 3am and sat and read a book. Britannia hotels need to invest a little. We will not stay again.

ServiceFood was not great, but the man on reception arranged for it to come to my room as I didn't want to eat in the restaraunt. Very helpful, couldn't praise him enough.

Sadly a tale of two parts. The hotel reception is efficient and friendly. The rooms and their approaches are very clean and bright. Beds and bedding are really good. Coffee making facilities in room and bathroom bits n bobs plentiful and fully topped up each day.Unfortunately the eating arrangements are not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. The primary issue is a desperate lack of staff. Those who are there, work very hard to ensure you are served promptly and courteously. However, it is obvious they are under great pressure and it is not a praticularly comfortable experience. As a result, the bar food is sometimes not hot when it should be, and the quality of the food and presentation is generally not good. The restaurant is marginally better, but here again, the staff numbers are at a minimum which can sometimes lead to an 'extended' dining experience.... Overall though, nice and clean and really good value for money - especially for an airport co-located hotel.

I thought the hotel was a little dated and the bed was small with poor quality matress. the tv was very old and lacked the choice and quality of other hotels that I have stayed at in this area.

1) No hot water, had to have a cold shower at 4.00am2) Room and hotel in general was cold.3) Booked early morning call, but none received, fortunately I had used my own alarm clock as a standby, otherwise I would have missed my flight.4) Cobwebs on ceiling in the bedroom.

a fairly typical mid budget hotel for travellers. Extremely convenient for the airport and the staff were very friendly. One step up from a Travelodge

Quiet room but the rather old fashioned TV was positioned rather too low and had few channel choices. This is important because there is very little else to do nearby.

I cannot fault this hotel. Everything meets my needs

Good basic accommodation - suitable for last minute booking in walking distance of the airport. Rooms comfortable but looked tired and in need of modernisation. However everthing worked including decent shower. Smart restaurant serving a good breakfast. This hotel does 'what is says on the can'. Good value at £50.00 including full breakfast. Parking was free.
