OK place. Lots of young, sexy people. Rooms very reasonable for what turned out to be my purposes - i.e. met a really hot lady who was there with her hubby. Was affordable enough to take out a third room where she and I would rendezvous several times during our stay there. No strings attached and it was fun, fun, fun! (Well except when we bumped into each other at breakfasts - ).

Awful hotel. No parking available. Don't stay here. Dirty sheets, dirty bathroom with hair and black marks left by previous people. Twin beds pushed together with single sheets when we asked for a double room as it was valentines. The sheets were like sack material you would use in a school sack race, very itchy. Worst night sleep I've ever had. Floorboards squeaky as were beds. Dirty, dark dismal room. Avoid at all costs. Pay £10 more and stay in the plush one in the city centre.

Mediocre Accomodation and not value for Money - night Staff excellent - day staff totally indifferenThis hotel was far below the standard we have come to expect from the Britannia Hotels Chain. The rooms were shabby and needed a thorough clean under the tables and in the bathroom, particularly the shower cubicle. We had the unfortunate experience of water running through the bedroom ceiling at 01.20 hrs of the Sunday Morning. - The response from the Night manager and the Night Security guard was prompt, efficient and very professional. Once the storm had subsided the leak reduced to a trickle and we accepted that the hotel was full to capacity that night and that the Night Manager was having difficulty relocating us but, with the assurance that he would alert the Day Manager, when they changed over, to the problems, we agreed to stay-put in the room until the morning. On Sunday morning we spoke to the Receptionist on duty and she told us to bring our luggage to reception and go out for the day and, another room would be available on our return.Returning to the hotel at 18.30 hours we went to Reception and enquired about our room. The Under-Manager was totally unaware that we needed to be re-located and said there was no record of the transfer on the "computer system" - Eventually the problem was resolved and we were given another room. The surprising aspect of this saga is the fact that, although almost every member of staff knew that we had been involved in the flooding incident and offered their sympathy, the Reception and Day Management team were completely off-hand about it.I certainly will not recommend Britannia Bournemouth to anyone I wish to keep as a friend and hope that this is not an indication of direction the Chain will be taking in future.

Brittannia - BournemouthNice little hotel, close to the bars, restaurants, cliffs, beach and shops. Looking a bit tatty these days and could do with a refurbish or redecoration at least. However, the price reflects this.If you're like me and really only use the hotel for 'getting your head down' and don't spend a lot of time in the hotel then it's an ideal base. I use this hotel for business use.

1 night stay at the britanniafor the price secured £29 it had to be value for money.however i could not believe standard rate was £95!! single room was badly lit so difficult to read in the room and bed had no headboard.breakfast in the morning was pretty inedible with fried egg bullet hard toast like damp bread bacon overcooked and sausages undercooked!Staff were friendly but would not dream of staying there other than on business.Hotel felt old and tired.

Good location. Free parking. Very small bathroom with no hooks for towels & cramped shower cu bicle. Very sparse furniture and small, mean wardrobe. The location was the only thing in its favour. There were a few, well behaved stag & hen nights that weekend. Coach party arrived on Monday as we left.

Good Value for Money. In general the experience was a good one. The hotel was conveniently situated for the town and beach. The food was excellent and the accomodation was clean. However, the room did have an unusual smell and was in need of decoration - I was prepared to overlook this though as for the price I was paying it was O.K. I also felt the parking was very tight. Overall though it was excellent value for money - it would not have been if I had been paying the full price.

AverageFor the price we paid through late rooms, it was ok value for money. The location was good. The lifts were only big enough for 2 people with small suitcases and the hall decor was scruffy, but the room was a decent size and bathroom clean. Our TV claimed to have the 5 terrestrial and 3 Sky channels but there was only 1 which was Sky news. Breakfast was lukewarm..but this may be as we left it til the last 30 minutes of the breakfast period.

Good value if booking via LateRoomsSuch good value if booking last minute, not sure I'd be so impressed if I'd paid full price.Only stayed one night - along with all the groups of lads who were in the bar from tea-time onwards, but didn't come back in til the early hours. The breakfast was among the best I've ever had in a hotel - nearly as good as a cruise-ship.Try and avoid the rooms that face into the central 'courtyard', they look straight into opposite windows - they're dark, noisy and airless.

hotel was very clean, staff very helpful & friendly. breakfast was lovely. room, was a different matter. mouldy windows, itchy bedsheets, sink in the room and not in the bathroom. bathroom was so small, the shower was so tony and the bath that it would beperfect for children but not for adults. floor very creaky.

Horrible, disgusting, uncomfortable...The worst bed ever, bathroom window was covered with mold and kettle has not been cleaned for very very long time-we resigned from having tea. For the price we paid, we did not expect their best room, but this was supposed to be 3* accommodation. Our room was really smelly. Old hallways with stinky carpets, dirty walls, ancient furniture, made us feel very uncomfortable... There is nothing positive about the hotel except its location and breakfast.

Short break in Bournemouth following on from the Easter w/eEfficient, friendly staff. We were pleasantly surprised to have a sea view from our double, standard room. Breakfast was the only meal we sampled, plenty of choice. We enjoyed our swim in the large indoor pool. Not enough parking for all those staying. We were able to park in the sister hotel, a short walk up the road and there is road parking outside the hotel, but daytime restrictions mean you have to move your car soon after breakfast. We wonder what it might be like to park in high season?Overall a pleasant experience.
