located in the heart of zurich.take zurich day card that enables you to use all zurich public transport(tram,buses,and river boats).go to the old fifa(football federation) grounds and enjoy the panoramic views over the city and its lake.you can also use the same ticket on the lake boat but ask before you board as not all of them accept it.for shopping head to banhoffstrasse.visit the "manor",department store and check out the souvenir's section on 3rd or 4th floor.the lowest priced swiss army knife are sold here.

Nice, well preserved and maintained hotel in the heart of Zurich. Breakfast basic but good. The train station is 5 min walk and Banhoffstrasse(the main shopping area) 6min walk. Check the info center at the train station. We went for a day in Milan and another day to Innsburg, Austria. Approx 3 hours each way on the train. You can buy a 1, 2 or 3 day train cards which enable you to travel throughout Switzerland. With the 3 day one we saw the whole country. A good and reasonable price restaurant with traditional Swiss menu is the "rhazunser".

The location was great - we walked 3 blocks from the train station on arrival (it's an easy 5 trip from the airport by train to central Zurich). Everything is nearby. The hotel and room were spotlessly clean - typical for this country. The room resembled a college dorm - spartan furnishings, but good enough for our purposes. The lobby had a computer for internet use, which was useful. The breakfast included in the rate was okay. The bathroom was clean and modern. Only there was no hook to hang an article of clothing. Our trouble with the staff was that we needed to sleep a little upon arrival in the daytime after all night travel and jet lag and they seemed to be disturbed about this. They knocked on the door and the desk called us on the phone for no reason. I didn't know permission was needed to use the room in the daytime.

This is a solid hotel with friendly, helpful staff, a great location, and very clean rooms. Be aware, though, that it's a no frills, 3 star place with thin walls (I think it should be rated 2 star). Those who want an elegant Zurich hotel should look elsewhere.

This hotel has an option of a family room. The four of us slept great in one room. There was plenty of room. Good breakfast option and the location was within walking distance of the train station and all Zurich sights. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good basic hotel for short stays in Zurich. Very convenient to main train station, downtown shopping, and old town center. Small but clean rooms.
