This Vienna hotel is located just opposite the Vienna State Opera House. The Bristol Hotel Vienna is also within walking distance of the center city shopping zone and the Museum Quarter.
The Bristol Hotel Vienna is approximately 30 minutes by train to the airport. Car transfers to cover the 20 km distance to the airport are also available from the hotel.
There are 140 rooms in the 5 star Bristol Hotel Vienna. They are furnished in an upscale turn of the century style. Rooms have Internet, satellite TV, and a welcome fruit basket.
The Bristol Hotel Vienna opened in 1892, and has operated continuously since that time. The décor highlights antiques from the turn of the century, and the lobby/lounge has been designed to serve as an informal meeting space. There are two restaurants in the hotel, the Korso Bei Der Oper serving upscale meals and the Rotisserie Sirk offering basic fare. There are 10 formal meeting rooms, a terrace overlooking the State Opera House, and a fitness center.

The hotel is centrally located, with access to public transportation and to many of the sites in and around Vienna. The building is stately, with much of the art deco charm, but extremely charming and comfortable,not pretentious, with the State Opera House directly across the street.

Beautifully decorated rooms, separate toilette from bath. There was absolutely nothing not to like about the hotel. The Bristol is conveniently located, and the rooms are lovely in their decoration. The bathroom setup is also great for travelers.

Good hotel. However too expensive for this hotel with not enough facilities, no swimming pool, no place to sit unless in bar-hall, €40.- just for two local phonecalls!

Great location with luxury rooms. Expensive daily parking fee. This hotel was located right next to the Vienna State Opera House. It was only ten minutes walk to all of the old town sightseeing spots and also ten minutes walk to market. The hotel service was excellent. The concierge helped us booked the dinner & concert show and showed us the city different sightseeing spots. The rooms were very good size and decorated luxuriously.

I loved that we were treated as special guests and how friendly all the staff was. The room we had faced a central courtyard that wasn't very attractive, but the room was great. Nice staff, great amenities, soft beds, great location.

Location-superb! Rooms large and functional. Exercise room under construction. Excellent hotel location, at the heart of Vienna. Concierge is very knowledgeable and was helpful. The hotel is an old style, not the newer upscale looking- this is not a knock, only an observation. Overall experience was very good.

Centrally located and very convenient. Stuffy staff; stuffy rooms. In need of serious overhaul and upgrading. Rely on the fact that they're so centrally located. The service is not particularly friendly or helpful. While smoking versus non-smoking is offered, there really isn't a noticeable difference. The stale cigarette smoke hangs heavy in the air and in the ventilation system. Makes the hotel feel grimier that it probably is. Probably does not merit a 5-star rating.

Elegant decor, excellent service. Elegant decor with beautiful antiques and crystal chandeliers throughout all of the common spaces. The concierge is very helpful. The central location across the street from the Vienna State Opera House is convenient to main shopping, dining and touring. Top notch service and amenities from turn down service at night to terrycloth bathrobes and slippers in the room. Buy your opera tickets in advance! Even the concierge could not help with last minute tickets. Don't miss the Sacher Torte at the Hotel Sacher a couple of blocks away delectable!

Internet access fees were reasonable, not gouging like other hotels. No windows or obvious ventilation in the bathrooms. Very clean with a luxurious atmosphere and courteous, friendly and professional hotel and restaurant staff.
