Have you renovated recently?

Renovation is an ongoing process. Some areas require more attention whilst others less. Almost every winter we close for painting inside and we pay attention to our side during the summer.

What traveller type is most suited?

As a small B&B we can meet the needs of most of our guests but most of our guests are couples, family, single and few business.

What transport is available to get around?

Brighton is a compact area and hence majority of things are walking distance. The Volks railway office is a 3-4 minutes' walk from us. The train will take you from near us to the Marina. It has an amazing history which you can read - http://www.volkselectricrailway.co.uk/

As a family, what are the best things to do?

The beach, Sealife Centre, The Brighton Pier, the parks, Volks Railway, Brighton Toy and Model Museum, Brighton Fishing Museum, Bowling and Cinema just to mention a few.

Do you provide parking?

This is what we say to our guests: "Please arrive at the hotel first and park you car a little on the pavement outside our window. We are on the right side. We will check you in and will offer you a map to help you park your car. The map is very easy to follow and you will not have any problem."

There is voucher parking (supplied by hotel) available for our street and some other streets around our street, but, it is very limited and is greatly sought after. The cost of voucher is £5.00 for 24 hours from the time you park your car and Sunday is free (Parking control hours are from 9:00am to 8:00pm. After 8:00pm and up to 9:00am the next morning, the parking is free).

If you move your car after parking, it is unlikely you will get your space back in our street.

There is also pay and display street parking available in an area about an 8 minutes' walk from us. It is the cheapest pay and display in Brighton. (Cost is £4.70 for 24 hours from the time you park your car and Sunday is free-April 2011). In this area there is space for many cars and you can move your car and there is a good chance that you can re-park your car close by. (Parking control hours are from 9:00am to 8:00pm. After 8:00pm and up to 9:00am the next morning, the parking is free).

We also provide parking maps to help our guest’s park their car. If they need one of us to come then we can also come and help you park. Please note we are in zone C.

What makes your hotel the best?

Our service is what sets us apart from the rest. We also offer free one-day parking voucher as part of free VIP upgrade. No other hotel who does not have a car park (like us - we do not have car park) does it. You can see videos of the room you may stay in – other B&B do not do this. We have a video blog – no other B&B does it.

We offer vegan, vegetarian, meat, Continental, Halal and Asian breakfast – no other B&B does it. We treat our customers as kings.

What are your breakfast options?

We cater for vegans, vegetarians, and we have Halal and Asian options as well as meat and Continental options. We cater for the guest's needs.

We can offer breakfast at 7:30am or 9:30am. It all depends on the requirements of our guest, and our breakfast is free. Alternatively, there are cafes near us where breakfast can be sought, about six minutes' walk.

What can I do nearby?

Our beach is a 3-4 minutes' walk from us. The Sealife Centre is a 9 minutes' walk, the Brighton Pier is 9 minutes' walk, Lanes area is 11 minutes, Royal Pavilion is 11 minutes' walk, North Laines is 12 minutes' walk, restaurants are from 2 minutes' walk but there are about 50 restaurants in the Lanes area and Preston Street has about 20 restaurants. Free museum is 11 minutes' walk and other museums are a little more.

The Brighton Toy and Model Museum is just under the Brighton train station and great place for everyone, and Brighton Fishing Museum in also a 12 minutes' walk from us. The Odeon Cinema is a 15 minutes' walk from us.

The shopping centre in Churchill Square is 18 minutes' walk but there is also shopping in the Lanes area, North Lanes and also in our Marina which is about 6 minutes by car or 25 minutes' walk. There are also many many cafés - from just 2 minutes from us.

The small general food markets and from (3 minutes' walk). In the Marina on Sunday morning there is a car boot market but there are more car boot markets in other parts also.

There is also a swimming pool close to us as well as gyms. There are two good golf courses from 15 minutes' drive away.

There are many parks close to us and Queens Park is 15 minutes' walk but Preston Park which is very famous, is about 15 minutes by car and has in it Preston Manor. This is a very old English house and was originally built in 1250. Opposite the Manor is the only municipal Rockery Garden on the whole of the UK, so we are told. In the Marina there is 10-pin bowling and cinema. You can also go fishing from the Marina on good summer days.

Just off the beach is crazy golf and not too far from it is skateboarding area.
