bridge house hotelhotel very covenient to city centre, room very basic but very clean, shower extremely small, could do with some updating.

This is a horrible location to find and once we parked (me and my elderly parents), paid for parking then walked about 2 miles to the hotel the front desk person ([...]) was VERY RUDE and had changed my reserved 2 or 3 bed hotel room to a single room and wanted to charge an additional 175EUR because my elderly parents were with me. This would have put the room over 300USD per night. The desk person pretended that she could not understand english for majority of the conversation but was fluent in emglish when it was convenient for her. She would not get Orbitz on the phone nor would she allow me to talk with her manager (who was not on site). She would not refund my 90usd that I perpaid for the room. Orbitz was not able to get the money back from the hotel either. DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE ON STAYING HERE. There is a Days Inn a few blocks away - STAY THERE!!!!!!

Very good for the price in central Dublin. Nice quiet room at the back of the hotel.Staff polite and on the ball with security. I like that.

Hotel was clean but very basic. Staff were very good.Needs a bit of TLC to bring up to standard - and new beds!!!

Basic accomodation at a good price. Friendly staff and 24hr reception so coming back late isn't an issue, and the location is excellent. Don't expect luxury facilities, but a good clean room with en suite. Would definitely recommend as a base for exploring the city.

Rather basic, but ok. TV reception very poor due to broken ariel lead- informed staff, but it was not fixed (maybe due to Christmas holiday)- however they gave me a €15 discount when I asked for a reduction. Otherwise it was fine, cheap and cheerful!

The room was far too hot.Coffee was available all the time but was kept on a warmer and a smeel of old coffee pervaded the reception area. The hot water supplied for tea was not hot enough - only tepid although at breakfast time we were assured that the urn had just boiled.

Not very pleasant, in desperate need of gutting.

The bed was terrible!!! The madrass springs made our bodies hurt....And a proper duvee would be better than just a blanket! We didn't use any bed cower...how often are they cleaned? And same for the wool(?) blanket... Sheets were ok :-) We had room no 11 with a terrace.. It was a cosy room but the terrace was terrible dirty! So we were quite disappointed all in all.

The map shown on the web site was wrong- the hotel is on Parliament Street as opposed to Temple Lane South. You also can't check in till 2.00pm as opposed to 10.00am. Other than that it was clean enough but could do with a lick of paint. You stay here for the location alone and the price - crash out here and thats it!

Pros:- Location, location, location! Seriously, you can't beat it if you enjoy the Temple Bar area (and we did!!).- Convenient, cheap Internet cafe across the street- Helpful staff (not necessarily friendly, but they got me everything I needed)- No gym needed, thanks to all the exercise you'll get climbing the stairs- Never heard other guests (but that could be because they were drowned out by all the traffic and partying outside)Cons:- Difficult to find (if you take 2 steps too fast, you'll miss it)- Loud! (the traffic and partying never stop on the street outside your window)- Worst beds EVER- No Internet- found rice in the bed upon arrival- No elevator, so no way to avoid A LOT of stairs (beware if you're disabled, have a bad back, are elderly, pregnant, or unable to carry luggage)- Failed to mention they charge just for getting a dial-tone, so even if you use a phone card they'll still charge you- Bathroom door didn't shut- Have to worm your way through 2 narrow doorways to squeeze into the room- Must leave key with staff whenever leaving the premises (apparently they only have 1 key to your room?)Overall:- Would I stay there again? Yes, if I was backpacking. Not if I was carrying 2 weeks' worth of clothing.- These are just rooms. Not really what you'd think of as a \"hotel.\"

Lovely Hotel in city centre, everything is very close! Very good price. Helpful staff. Just 1 bad thing- it was very cold in the room.

Reception is reached from street level by a narrow set of (almost) vertical stairs. Despite the attractive price, the hotel is overfdue for a paint job, the rooms were quiet and bed comfortable, if a little spartan. Breakfast is only continental and probably best avoided. Staff friendly enough, however with a broken door intercom, entry is dependant on banging on the glass to allow the receptionist to buzz you in.

Directly in the center of Dublin, a very good price-performance ratio.

Was slightly worried after reading several reviews on this hotel that we were about to stay in a hell hole, but we were pleasantly surprised. Ok this place definately isn't the Ritz but for the money you can't go wrong. The location is fantastic if you are visiting Dublin for a few social drinks, well within crawling distance home of Temple Bar area!! We were greeted by an extremely pleasant and very helpful member of staff who was a credit to Irish hospitality (although she was American). The overall appearance of the place is pretty rough and definately in need of a major refurb but the sheets were clean and the bathroom spotless. If you are visiting Dublin to pick fault and be an undercover hotel inspector then this place is definately not for you. But if like us you are looking for somewhere to put your head down after maybe one too many for road and need to do it on a budget then honestly this place is fine. No cooked breakfast, but the place is so cheap to stay in you can afford to eat out. Not the place to stay if you are wanting to spend a lot of time in your room, but if like us thats the last thing on your mind this place is fine to dump your bags and get out to enjoy the \"Craic\".

We were transfer to a hotel in O'Connell Street. Wasted some time moving, But the hotel we were transfered was excellent in location.

The bathroom was clean and the receptionist was helpful, but the room was appalling. Peeling wallpaper, drab curtains with half the hooks missing, rock-hard beds. The street was busy and noisy and there was a pub playing loud music across the road. This did, however, stop at midnight. Overall impression - ongoing maintenance is an unknown concept to these people.

Hotel clean but in need of re-furbishment. Really good location for a budget city break.

My room was very damp and had a very damp smell. During the night when it was raining there was a leak from the celing and from the window frame. The window frame was full of mould, condasation running down the glass, carpets were wet. when I reported this to the reception in the morning they did however reduce my bill. I was very disapointed with the accomodation. I am glad I was only staying one night otherwise I would have been forced to find alternative accomadation.
