What are your breakfast options?

Guests choose their preferred time for breakfast - the earliest we've served breakfast is 5:15 am and the latest is 1:45 pm.

What traveller type is most suited?

We've been able to accommodate many types business; couples; singles; one-night stopovers; tourists using us as a base; cyclists; etc.

What transport is available to get around?

The Tamar Valley Railway line stops literally across the road from us, providing both easy access to our area, and to Plymouth from us.

What can I do nearby?

The towns of Tavistock and Plymouth are close by. Dartmoor is within easy reach and there are beaches close to us on both the North and South coasts. We are close to Morwelham Quay, where the BBC series "Edwardian Farm" was filmed. There are several National Trust properties in the area, and we are in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The Tamar Valley Centre is our close neighbour.

St.Mellion Golf and Country Club is a 10 minute drive away, and there are numerous local walks, all of which include wonderful scenery and countryside.

Local villages of Gunnislake and Calstock are teeming in history from the days when mining, and market gardening, made the area prosperous, taking advantage of the area's natural resources.

Nowadays, those resources provide an extensive range of cycle trails, and mountain biking trails that are use by members of the British Mountain Biking Team - we know - they've stayed with us. There are opportunities to explore the river Tamar and its wildlife by canoe; and opportunities to get the adrenalin surging, tree-surfing.

The National Field Archery Society has held National Championships here, and there are National Field Archery competitions held locally several times a year.

There are also additional walks and villages along the line, and a beautiful trip in its own right.

Do you have internet?

We don't have internet in our rooms, but Wi-Fi should be available next year, and we have a PC and a laptop available for guests' use at no charge.

Do you provide parking?

We have parking on site, and immediately outside, on a very quiet rural road.
