This is a great option for Banff accommodation. The location is fantastic - steps to shops, restaurants, parking - and front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. Sufficient for no-frills travelers who don't spend the entire time in their rooms but like some comfort at the end of the day.

(1)We stayed 5 night at this hotel. But sheets had never changed and we are uncomfortable. When we asked front dest about sheets, they said they change sheets everyday. They told a lie and we are afraid that the sheets might be used for previous guest... (2)There is no air condition. We must open window but outside was very noisy. (3)2days out of 5 days stay, they forgot setting shampoo, conditioner and soap. When we requested front desk, we were very disappointed at their disrespectful behavior. Only location is good. But we will never use this hotel.

The hotel was pretty standard, It was a good central location for nightlife and shopping district. Saying that, if you didnt want to hear the bars, probably not for you. The free Wi-Fi was indeed free, although you couldnt access it in your own room, the signal was too weak for a number of guests. Brewsters at least had a games/reading/computer room set up where you could go with a computer They also had one there as well for your own usage. The parking you had to pay for, but not too many stalls and it was a tight fit for most. If you didnt get a stall, you had to park a block away. All in all, it was an ok hotel. pretty standard.

I stayed at this hotel in Aug. 2006. The hotel is fantastic! You are half a block off main street and there is a grocery store near by. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There is no A/C, which is common in this area but we just left the door to the balcony open at night and it cooled off the room. Plus the parking was only 5.00 per day!

The Brewster Mountian Hotel does not have AIR CONDITIONING in the rooms, had to open windows because the rooms were so warm, the nightclubs accross the street were open till 3:00 AM and were very noisy and loud. Then at 6:45 the construction crew started with their equipment. After 1 night there we desided to go to the town of Canmore which was about 15 miles down the road which had air conditioning, and the room was $100.00 less per night, and did not charge for parking your vechile.
