Because the hotel is near the airport, earplugs must not be forgotten ! The welcome is not very friendly too. Otherwise, it is a good address with a good price/quality rate. Local bus terminal (green bus) can be reach by feet in 15 minutes. Long distance bus requires a 30 minutes walk. But the new port is far : 45 minutes by feet (10 euros with a taxi...). Historical part of the town could be reach in 20 minutes : it is the best area to have dîner.

If you are using Corfu Airport the Bretagne Hotel Corfu is spot on. It is also easy to get into town. The friendlyness of the staff was excellent.

Old building, with no lift (two floors). Quite small bedroom, with very old bathroom facilities. Back bedrooms avoid street noises completely. Very good position: 10 minutes walk to the center. Very close to the airport. Delivery of motorcycles directly to the hotel.

If you are looking for a clean, quiet, hotel with a beatiful view of a garden, near the white sandy beaches this is NOT the hotel for you. If you like an airport hotel with yucky, drippey marks on the hospital green walls and in the bathroom, and if you like carpet so thin you can see through it in some places then here it is! Almost everthing the Bretange Hotel stated on their site was misleading. The Hotel is located DIRECTLY across the street from the airport. We could practicaly rub the plane bellies as they came in for a landing. As far as within walking distance to sandy beaches... The hotel was within 9 blocks of the port, we had to rent a car to see any sandy beaches. As far as the rooms being recently renovated, our room was dirty and in deperate need of a fresh coat of paint and new carpet. In regard to a garden, our room looked out unto a space of a few trees, weeds and a crowing rooster! The Bretange claimed to be 3 star hotel but as you step in their front door they are posted as 2 star. We stayed a total of 35 days in 7 different hotels most booked through Venere and were very happy with all of them except the Bretagne. The folks at the Bretange flat out misrepresented the what's and the where's of their hotel. On the upside they did have a nice breakfast and if you need to catch an early morning plane the Bretagne Hotel Corfu would be within walking distance.
