We had a fantastic time, and would go back! Have read a lot of negative reviews on this hotel, but the bottom line is, you get what you pay for. If, you go in to the experience expecting a clean, standard room (i.e., with a decent bed, clean, working bathroom, TV, etc.) and not the Ritz-Carlton, you'll be just fine, and won't be disappointed (I think I actually saw a review in which somebody griped about the curtains and crown molding in the rooms -- Are you kidding me? If curtains and molding are a top priority for you in a hotel, I don't want to hang out with you!) A room in my opinion is just that... a place to sleep, shower and use the toilet -- not a place in which you will spend the majority of your vacation. If you approach it this way, all will be good! The food was great and they had a decent variety of things to choose from in the buffet, and at the poolside grill (try the beef or chicken "patties" -- seasoned meat in a pastry shell... surprisingly good!) Not to mention, the grill opens again at midnight... just when you're hungry after a good night out! The Italian Restaurant is open Mon/Wed/Fri and requires a reservation. While it's not a "5 Star" establishment, the food was good (the soups, Lasagna and Steak they served were all really good!) The bar service is excellent... One of the best people we met there, "Ricardo" was really friendly, and was always willing to mix up something special (Even if he is a Chelsea fan!) They have a wide variety of drink choices, from the old-standbys, to their own exotic, bartender-invented drinks. The general staff is helpful, and available all hours of the day. The daily activities hosted at the hotel were fun, and the pool volleyball was a blast! OK, to the "75/25" portion of the hotel... the beach (75% good, 25% bad). 75% Good: It's all of 100 steps from the pool, and it is beautiful -- white sand, crystal-clear, turquoise-blue water, that is a constant 80 degrees. If you snorkel, you've gotta do it here! Not only

A-la carte restraurant. Buffet was below average. This was a old smaller all-inclusive resort. The food with the exception of the A-la carte was below average, the resort was run down(for a recently remodeled), the service was sub-par, and they were constantly out of different necessities (silverware, cups). The Beach and the view were better than expected. Many other reviews that we read complained about the locals being on the beach, and the pan-handling but we did not see any of that over the 6 days that we were there. The location was great, just a five minute drive to the airport (rather than the hour and a half + to Ocho Rios). All in all I guess you get what you pay for; and we kind of expected that.

I have been to this resort more times than I can count... It is the greatest vacation I have ever been on in my life..From the time you show up and ? takes your bags(he is amazing) to your room, to the entertainment... Anything you want, they will accomodate you. As for the noise..The club is loud and it does go late, your on vacation... Dont sweat the small stuff, Stay up late.... Nine Mile Beach during the day..The rooms are spotless and the bartenders are amazing. Go here.....Go here.......Go here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a nice location for downtown. The beach was great. Hotel can use some updating. Rooms were ok but nothing to write home about. Staff for the most part were friendly but always thought they were after a buck or two. It's understandable considering outside the resort people are always hitting up for a smoke or business. Unemployment for Jamaica is 20% so keep that in mind. Take small US bills with you for tipping. My daughter was married there so would I stay there again? YES I would for the beach etc.

Although the rooms use some updating everything else was excellent. There's something for everyone to do and I appreciated the fact that children under 14 weren't allowed. I stayed in 1/09 and plan on going back there for a longer stay later this year. If you stay you have to try the Bob Marley shot - it's excellent!!

From start to finish I was more than disappointed with my trip. I felt that I was ripped off! This place is a real dump! The rooms are poor, some cracks in the walls, bathrooms need not only updating, but they need to fixed! The staff was not friendly. The service was beyond poor. I met people as I arrived that were switching hotels because the service was so poor. Every guest that I met during my stay was not happy. On my last day they had job recuitment on the hotel grounds! The lobby and the and gift stores were full of people filling out job applications and waiting for interview. I did not pay to encounter all of this!I later found that the hotel is closing in September one of the staff told me that is probably why the service is bad. She said most of the staff that will be out of jobs really don't care any more. Not a good excuse...I was so disappointed!!!

This room was like a little shoebox! Big enough for a full sized bed and 12" to walk by on either side. We couldn't even open our suitcases! If you opened the window everyone walking by could see you. Plaster was falling off the walls in the teeny-tiny bathroom. Staff were not helpful at all, food was miserable. The noise from the disco was loud to everyone. Not a place to go if you're thinking of spreading out and relaxing.Only thing good was it is on the hip strip (if you like that kind of noise) We went to the Sunspree Holiday inn and had an amazing time!

When we arrived at hotel all was fine; however once we ventured out of hotel found location to be by one of the many slum shop locations throughout Jamaica. Drugs were offered to us once every few minutes once outside of the Hotel. Nice Cold A/C in room, room was what I expected a nice older room but room service was great. Food was not very good; however drinks were great! We found tour desk and front desk less than helpful. Pay for everything in Jamaican Currency...this will make your money go much further! Margaritaville is right down the street!

This was my first trip to jamaica and it was great the hotel offered everything you needed from great food to live entertainment it was a group of us and everyone enjoyed themselves, from the bellboy to the front desk clerk to the taxi driver that we had for the entire time we were there was very kind and all they really wanted to do was please you, would i recommend this place to friends and family this would be the only place i would recommend, it was only two miles from the airport and within walking distance of downtown montego bay. But should you visit here try the bob marley drink and the rosesita tequilla, off the hook be sure to travel upstair. to disco we closed it down, and the beach, the beach is at your feet.we went swimming three in the morning it was great, i suggest you don't eat three days before going the food is twenty-four hours a day. This is not a hotel for kids, adults only.We booked our next trip before we left c u in jamaica. one love

Our hotel was very poor and our stay was very very noisy. We moved rooms three times. The entire hotel is in bad need of paint and upgrading. The bar area smelled so bad of garbage that you could not sit on a stool to enjoy your drink at all. First of all we booked an ocean front deluxe suite, however never did get a suite, got a small deluxe room directly over the bar, pool, and band stand. All of the rooms face the ocean as the hotel is built rectangularly to face the bar, pool, entertainment stand, and the ocean. No matter where your room is located, noise started at 10am on the microphone and never stopped until 10:30 at night. The noise from the pool area and bar lasted until 3am some nights. The music was mainly heavy rock and blues, loud and pounding, not the raggae I had expected. No one could dance to it ever. The food was good but there was only minimal choices for the main meal. If the choise was jerk chicken, the other choice would be jerk beef, or pigs tails or bioled sea urchens. Not my kind of food. We are not fussy people, and this is so unlike us to complain, but of all our travels this was awful!!! We made the best of it however. The beach was wonderful, breakfast was great, and the staff were great. We stayed on the beach as much as possible each day to avoid the noise or went for walks along the street.

Older hotel but suite was very nice. Had to change rooms because of noisy, dripping air conditioner but manager was very accommodating. Room was bright, clean and cheery. Very few outlets so don't bring things that need to be plugged in. Food was the biggest disappointment. Served buffet style, the hotel seems to cater to Jamaican business meetings (at least when we were there) so much of the food is Jamaican with very little variety. If you are OK with goat, this is the place to go! Ther is one other dining room, but it was only open one night during our visi. The best thing about the hotel is the rooftop jacuzzi at sunset - very romantic and quite lovely. You can tell that they have done a lot to upgrade the facility and it was very clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and we felt totally safe.

The overall resort is nice, and the rooms were clean. However, the rooms were outdated. Apparently, the resort is 14/15 years old, but they look like they were designed and decorated in the 1970s. I realize they probably assume that guests will spend little time in their room, but the room quality is important because it is the place that folks will use to get away from the hustle and bustle of the resort. Once again, the overall resort is nice. But next time we will be trying another brand resort to see what they have to offer.

The exterior was beautiful but the rooms let a great deal to be desired. If I pay for a Balcony Suite it should be larger and more appealing than a regular hotel room. Ensure that the water pressure in the sink is adequate and the toilet works. We had to call the maintenance guy 3 times to get it to flush...not a great time with a couple sharing a room.

This was one of the best vacations my family and I have ever taken. The hotel is about 2 miles from the airport, so we didn't have to spend our vacation time on the road and the ride from the airport to the hotel and back was free. As soon as we landed the Breezes staff offered us bottled water and welcomed us to Jamaica. The service at the Hotel was superb. The Montego Bay Breezes staff was dedicated to make sure everyone had a great time from the moment we arrived. The hotel manager was there all the time helping the staff and monitoring the service. There were activities and games all day long by the pool or you could just relax at the beach with a cocktail if you preferred quiet time. My husband and I took our 15 year old daughter with us and she had a great time--she did scuba diving, a canopy tree line tour, snorkeling, etc, while we enjoyed our cocktails by the pool or watch the sunset in the roof hot tub. There were other teens her age there with their parents. There is plenty to do for everyone, and I liked that the hotel was for 15yr and older, so we could relax. A lot of the water activities are included--canoeing, snorkeling, windsurfing, and the staff will teach you how to do it. There are coral reefs you can snorkel to right there on the Breezes beach! The hotel also offered activities outside the hotel for about $80.00 US, like river rafting, canopy tree line adventures, and you can ask taxi driver for special tours. Our taxi driver took us to a farm in the country side in the rain forest--the tour was about 5 hrs for $100.00 US for all 3 of us. The food was excellent, both the buffet and the restaurant upstairs, with plenty of fruits and vegetables, and local food--all inclusive as advertised. They also had burgers and fries, and jerk chicken all the time. It was not difficult to get reservations for the hotel restaurant; you just had to reserve it in the morning before 10:00. The bar was also great, good quality liquor and plenty of it, all inclusiv

We booked reservations for this hotel through a local travel agency and they did a great job picking this one out for us. The staff were all amazing and the beach was kept nice and clean and we were literally treated like royalty the whole time we were there. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone. I will be back to Jamaica soon and this is always were I will be staying.

The room was clean. There was a living area with a desk, two chairs and a love seat. There were two closets to hang clothes and two suitcase stands. There was a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The bed was not very comfortable. I did ask if they had a egg foam topper to go on top of the bed. They did not know what I was talking about. The bathroom needed a little updating. But, the resort is right on the beach, which is nice. There is a very nice resturant on the 6th floor. Right outside of the resort is a shopping strip.
