Date of Stay: July, 2009

Value for moneyAlthough one night's B and B for one person was £40 in July as opposed to £35 on the previous visit, this remains very good value for a full hotel, rather than guest house, experience. The room was a comfortable, well-equipped and spacious double and service was friendly and efficient throughout. In an ideal world I'd like to get breakfast a bit before 8.0 (there's a popular train out of Scarborough at 8.47) but this is certainly manageable. It is 10 minutes' brisk walk from the centre of town and on a main road, but quiet and within easy reach of the South Cliff/Esplanade.

A great old fashioned holiday breakThe family room is at the top of the hotel and has 2 rooms and a bathroom - perfect!Staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. It's not the most luxurious place - lets say woodchip rules! - but we would definately visit again.

Bradley Court HotelSlightly out of the town center this hotel is suitable for the more energetic e.g. those like us who enjoy a good walk with a purpose. Friendly staff a large room and a good breakfast all add to the appeal.

A 'lower ground floor' (basement!) room on a main road - I feared the worst. In fact it was a well-appointed and light twin-bedded room and the double glazing kept out the sound of early morning traffic. The bathroom was not luxurious but fine. Breakfast was served efficiently, quickly and with a smile. At the price - £35 for single occupancy - it is among the best value in Scarborough. But its position probably makes it more attractive to business travellers than holiday-makers.

The room had a big damp patch on the ceiling and you could see the mould under the wallpaper. The room smelt of fish and both taps ran hot water. Also, a very dated hotel and the full english breakfast made wetherspoons seem like a palace.

A nice hotel, well within walking distance of the town centre amd if you wanted to go down to the beach area, the road opposite takes you to the venicular lift .Well worth the money, the only down point was very poor TV in the room

we booked last minute for just one night but were very pleasanlty suprised by the very warm friendly welcome we recieved we had the evening meal which was excellant and a very good breakfast the room was large with dual aspect and the beds were very comfortable with extra pillows and blankets available without having to ask

The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Our trip was for work purposes and the charm of the hotel was a pleasant change to bigger chains of hotels we have stayed in before. Rooms were very clean and breakfast was lovely. Very good value for money.

Hotel reviewWhen we arrived at the hotel we were given a room that had water leaking from the ceiling due to a heavy downpour. However once we reported this we were given another room that was very good. The hotel was undergoing a refurbishment to the restaurant and so this facility was not available. We were not aware that they served evening food until we returned early on our last evening. I had to return home on one of the three evenings and I would have thought that there would have been a reduction for this since my partner was on her own and there was only breakfast served for one person. Otherwise I would have to say that we got value for money.

A lovely hotel, very friendly. Would defiantly book again when visiting scarborough. The only point i will make is that the family room we stayed in, the toliet didin't flush properly and the shower was a bit to low for an adult to stand up properly. Apart from that the room was a lovley size.

family weekend breakreally enjoyed our stay, it was very quite in the hotel and we only saw one member of staff who i assumed was the manager . he couldn't have been more helpful. the food was excellent and it did seem like a family friendly place. the lounge area and bar was very nice and our room which was a family one, was very spacious and comfortable. the only downside to our room was the decor was quite outdated,but other wise i would highly reccomend!

We booked a family room, which was spacious and very comfortable. The only downside was that the TV had a terrible picture - but everything else was fine. Our stay was certainly excellent value for money.

Obviously the hotel has seen better days the decor of the rooms that we have been able to see and discuss with other guests is generally due for refurbishment. The communal areas for all guests, the reception , Lounge bar, Dinning room was of a good standard. Shower and wash facilities are in need of an upgrade, however there are many hotels in Scarborough with the same problems that are far more expensive than the Bradley Court.
