Brackencourt Hotel DublinExcellent value for money, very close to Dublin Airport, taxi to Slane approx 40euro. Staff very friendly, beautifully modernised hotel. Restaurant reasonable value food good.

Oh DearHotel is nice, staff were most helpful and pleasant....but that's about as good as it gets. We arrived on St Valentines day pre-booked in for dinner....immediately asked to pay an extra 50 Euros if we wanted to dine in the restaurant as there was a function on or else eat in the bar...bar was fine we said...went to our room which was absolutely BALTIC with no windows open to cause it and radiators stone cold...needless to say no romantics at this time !!! Went to bar and watched rugby for a few hours. Had pre-booked a table in the bar at 8pm for dinner...bar was bunged and unable to oblige ( not really a problem as we were still sat at our table from when we arrived in the bar earlier) and offered bar menu for our pre-payed dinner. Complained to reception who confirmed that our pre paid booking was in restaurant and asked could we have the restaurant menu at least ...should point out now that there was a drunken trio of 60 something year olds singing 'the wheels on the bus go round and round' repeatedly for over an hour beside where we were sat...we were allowed to pick a starter from the bar menu and a main meal from the Valentines menu....booked for 8 we got our dinner at 9.45 which I suppose was'nt all bad cos we were starvin by this time (accepted by now that any chance of romantics were out the windy due to a combination of wine and Guiness)...anyway the food was absolutely gorgeous so if the hotel is in your area without a doubt make the effort and go and eat there while they have their current chef . Hotel is good but having pre paid for dinner etc I felt it unfair that I had to fight the staff (polite fight)...but as the manager was to lilly white scared to be bothered to face me I had to eventually send the better half to talk to him which worked a treat.. So marks out of 10....Staff 10.....Chef 10+....Manager SFA...Hotels grand if you have to stay in area but I wouldnt bust a gut to get there otherwise. But then what do I know !!!!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was immaculate on all counts and although very busy with private parties etc, no noise could be heard from the rooms which was very reassuring. The staff were courteous at all times

Although it seemed a bit expensive when booking, it was definitely value for money. Very spacious room and bathroom, friendly & helpful staff topped off with a good breakfast. Free parking also. Highly recommended.
