Clock Tower Lodge was situated behind the newer, nicer Grand Mountain Lodge. Check in and check out and most of the dining was done through the Grand Mountain Lodge. The Clock Tower Lodge is much older and has not been remodeled in quite sometime. The lobby and hallways have a 70's, 80's feel and smell moldey. The rooms have a newer feel but could still use a little updating. When you have to go in and out of the Grand Mountain Lodge, which is so nice and new and clean, it makes you wish you would of payed the extra money to stay there. We spent a day at Deer Lake which is on the property. We got to use their canoes and paddle boats free of charge. We also used a free shuttle service on the property. In the evening they offered family events like a hayride and bonfire.Dining choices were ok, but I would of liked to see more variety and more reasonable prices. One thing I must mention, the beds had all white linens. This was a good thing because you could tell the linens were clean and fresh. Overall we had a good experience.

The views. A very cold room, no heat. Our room was neat and clean, the toilet wasn't working quite right until my hubby repaired it. It was also cold in our room the first night, so in the AM my hubby turned up the heat so we could come back to a warm room however, it was freezing, because the heat was not working. We did not know this. We called the front desk and were gladly given a room with heat, it was an upgrade as well. The staff was wonderful and took care of us right away. Our new room was a 5 star suit room with a hot tub, fire place and king size bed. The kindness of the staff was the best ever. So our trip which could have been a huge bust turned out to be one our happiest moments of 2008.

The best part of the stay was the luxurious bedding. The rooms in the older buildings are in need of rennovation, but were clean and comfortable. The food was fabulous. I paid a discount rate for the older property--would have been upset if I had paid the ""resort"" rates.

The Boyne Mountain Resort had everything that me and me boyfriend enjoy doing. We are very outdoorsie, sporty peolpe and found that Boyne Mountain had everyhting to offer, we were able to swim, bike, hike, play tennis, go paddle boating, play disk golf, and many other things, there were so many fun things to take part in that we were unable to do it all in our one trip so we are already planning to take abother trip there in a few months to go back and do everything we didnt get to do and redo some of the things we already did. The staff was very accomadating, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice but a little out dated. There was no tub in the room we had just a shower stall, but stil very clean and nice. We stayed in the Clocktower which is one of the older buildings on the resort. The food and restaurants on the resort was delicious, we did not have one bad meal. i would recommend that everyone go there and enjoy the experience as much as we did.

The property is well maintained and quite picturesque. Only thing missing was a complimentary continental breakfast. A lovely, well groomed facility that must do a booming business during skiing season. Our room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed in the Edelweiss (sp?) lodge, and I did not recall ever seeing an elevator there. So carrying the luggage up two flights of stairs was a bit cumbersome. Nonetheless, the property is beautiful and there are many things to do there. It is well worth your time to check it out, especially during off season, we practically had the 32 person hot tub to ourselves.

The room appeared in nice condition, however when we turned the shower on we found out otherwise. Water immediately shot out of the showerhead in every direction imaginable. The tub was also clogged to that resulted in standing in calf deep water. The window crank was broke so once the window was open we payed hell getting it closed. While it was open, the hole in the screen allowed insects to invade our privacy. The management made good on the bill but it should not have had to get to that point. They should do a better job on daily upkeep.

The hotel was really nice and all the things to do were a bonus. Being charged on my credit card. The hotel was nice.

we had a hard time finding the check in since there are so many different parts to the place. needs to be noted that it is in Grand Center. Room is nice, large but no desk for computer and only one chair. Bathroom with separate vanity very modern. found 2 spiders in the bed and a window was partly open and the crank didn't work to close it. we were cold in the morning and room failed to heat up. We told the front desk at check out in the morning but didn't get any satisfaction from them other then sorry we will tell maintance and manager. no call since then. Breakfast buffet very nice and good varity.

The grand lodge is beautiful. The additional rooms I was in smelled so bad I almost just left. Be aware of which part of the resort you are staying in.

Our stay at Boyne Mountain Resort was very good. The rooms at the old resort were ok. They weren't the most comfortable. We have stayed at other properties within the Boyne Mountain resort and were very impressed. The Grand Lodge is incredible. Avalanche Bay (indoor water park)was great for the kids. The staff was great (very kind, very accomodating). We would definately stay here again.

Had plenty to do. The room we stayed was unattractive and gross. It's very new and nice. We happened to have a room in the lodge that was on the hill. It was pretty exciting until we got to our room and it was run down, old and not attractive at all. I expected more but maybe they are going to remodel soon?

I was very impressed by the staff at the Boyne Mountain Resort. Everyone from the housekeeping staff on up went out of their way to be extra helpful and friendly. Even though we stayed at the less expensive part of the resort on our first night, we still were able to use almost all the amenities, such as the chairlift ride up the mountain, the s'mores campfire and the extensive and lovely grounds.

Beautiful scenery. Nice size hot tub. Rooms were hot, air did not work. Everything closed too early. I'm sure the "better" rooms were quaint but our room was terribly hot, no ventilation, no screens on window or slider to allow us to enjoy the fresh mountain air while we slept.

I loved the feel of being in a little town at the Grand Mountain Spa & Resort in Boyne,MI.. We stayed in one of their ski lodges which was very charming. It perhaps could have been a bit cleaner for my taste but it was a lodge type atmosphere. The lock on our door was difficult to operate and we had to go to main lodge at 5am to get a new key for our room. Overall, I enjoyed it and it was a nice getaway.

Central location to several Northern Michigan areas. The building we stayed in is in dire need of renovation; it was clean but showing its age. Boyne Mountain is a very complete resort property. The newer Mountain Grand Lodge is an ideal facility for families. The older Clock Tower Lodge where we stayed is in need of some updates and renovation For instance, the room we stayed in had no deadbolt. Overall, the property is clean, maintained, and well appointed, but some of the older buildings could stand to be updated.

The staff was pleasant and it was safe. We were put in a really old room that was very small in the very last facility on the property. It might be wonderful if you are a skier or if you are young and want to party. The group outside our facility was drinking to all hours and loud. The accomodations were small and it was very old. It was remodeled, but a face covering was all they did. A bit disappointing

Our room was very nice and large with really two rooms in one. I thought the hallways in the Main Lodge were old, dingy and did not smell very appealing. Overall, I was very pleased with the room and restaurant staff. We loved Avalanche Bay. I thought the check in staff was snotty and somewhat unwilling to answer questions. The staff at the Main Lodge desk was much more accommodating and friendly. We were pleased with our hotel room. It was basically two rooms in one. The kids could go to bed and we could enjoy some privacy as adults.

Beautiful, brand new lobby and main hotel. Great bar. We stayed in a very old building in the back of the main building. When we drove up, we thought that we were at the wrong hotel, because it looked so beautiful. We walked in to find that we were at the right hotel, but we were in a very old building behind the brand new hotel. A little dissappointing we ventured back to our building. We did spend some time in the friendly new bar.
