We stayed in the Lodge, which has 500 thread count sheets with a very plush and comfortable bed. The shower has the curved shower rod and extra large shower head. Lastly, the stainless steel coffee maker in the room was a great touch to start the golf day. I'm not going to cover the 4 fantastic golf courses on the property... because if you have to ask about the courses... stay at your municipal course. Take a long weekend up to northern Michigan... you won't regret it!

Beautifully old & traditional features with all the appropriate updates! My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Boyne Highlands Main Lodge. We were comfortable. The staff was polite, curteous, and helpful. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the flowers so nicely designed. It's just a great place!

We were very happy with the quality of the resort and facilities. The room was clean, fairly spacious and comfortable. Our room opened out onto a patio, just a few feet from a beautiful hot tub, big enough for swimming! The resort included green ski hills, which were beautifully highlighted with changing fall colors and several golf courses. We don't golf. We rode the chairlift to the top for a view of Little Traverse Bay at sunset., then enjoyed a bon fire. We were disappointed in the brunch buffet. The food quality did not match the rest of the resort. We found other wonderful restaurants in Harbor Springs and Petoskey, both Stafford Restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

The room may not have been worth the price, but the location was! The mountains surrounding the area are beautiful.

Beautiful setting. The super massive parking lot security light. At night this is something akin to the fist of God in your face.

This is a very nice change from typical hotel chains with unique floor plan and older fashioned rooms that have been updated.

Didn't like this experience. Dirty old section of facility. Have stayed at Boyne previously - great place. This room was in a small old building away from the main facility that did not have the same amenities as the main facility. Should not be rated the same as main facility. Also too far from Petoskey area requested. Would not have picked if given a choice especially the substandard area away from the main lodge.

This accomodation at Boyne Highlands was adequate, but too much like a dormitory & too isolated from the oter facilities to make them of any use.

Not much, the Bartley House @ Boyne Highlands is in poor shape. Did not meet my expectations for a 2 star hotel. The Bartley House at Boyne Highlands Resort is in very poor shape. All of the plumbing fixtures were out of date and some leaked and/or did not work properly. The HVAC unit in the room was old and very loud. The TV was old and made a loud buzzing sound when turned on. Although, I was in a non-smoking room, when the window was open (second floor) smoke from people out side filled the room making it unpleasant for quite a while. The over-all facility is in very poor shape and in need of updating. This was not a good hotel experience for me.

Very pleasant location to stay...Summer or Winter.

European feel, clean, friendly, hospitable, cozy. Great for business, leisure, kids, no kids, and skis! Nothing. This stay was problematic in the beginning. I had requested a three-star hotel for two adults, and when I arrived at the hotel, they had reserved for us a small room with one double bed. This is not three star accommodations for two adults. I returned to the front desk and requested a room with a king bed. They gladly obliged and did not charge us an upgrade fee. I am thankful for that. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

A lot of activities to do that was included in the price of the room. N/A I would use this hotel again.

The location. Hiking trails, shops nearby, pools, sauna, hot tub. Fantastic. There was nothing that we did not like. Want to go back. Accommodations were superb. Friendly staff. Great location for summer not just winter. Lots to do in the area. Hiking, shopping, great restaurants, dinner theater, golf, swimming, more that we ever imagined. Would like to have stayed a couple more nights but had to get back to work.

Lots to do, many amenities. Stairs, no elevators. The landscaping of the resort was absolutely stunning. The rooms were older, but very adequate. Many amenities on site included pool, hot tub, golf, boccie ball, paddle boats, trout feeding. Great for families with small children as well as older children. Saw show Young Americans, was really good, food was ok. Menu prices for hotel restaurants was expensive, didn't eat there.

Quiet setting. Only one chair in the guest room. Excellent value, quiet setting.

The scenery was beautiful and the resort was very peaceful. It was further away from Petosky than I'd hoped and parking was not convenient at the resort.

Very clean. No heat in our room, and no elevators in our building. Nice place to visit, I've stayed there many time before, just do not get a room in the OLD Building. While it was very clean the accommodations were that of a 2 star hotel. The night we stayed there the heat had been turned off and temperature drop to near freezing that night. We didn't really notice it until the next morning, very cold. Heat was turned on about 1 hour after we complained. Like I said I've stayed here many times before and will return again, I'm not sure I want a room on the 3rd. floor of that building again.

Nice woody setting. No food available. I was placed in a building 1/4 mile away from the main desk area. Nobody working the desk, had to use a lobby phone to contact the desk which was in a different building.

I liked the peace & quite. They did not have any smoking rooms. The hotel was fine but is awfully dijointed such as the distance from the lodge to the main building, eating, swimming, etc. Will not probably use this method again.

Beautiful location and buildings Too "resorty" for me. You dont need to put on airs Beautiful location and facility. Enjoyed the lift ride to the top of the mountain. If you enjoy lots of activity and people doing things around you this is the place.
