This was a 1 night stop over. While the room was comfortable, it was fairly "basic" - I had expected more of a 3 star property. The description of beautiful hotel overlooking the Bow River may have been correct for some guests, however our room overlooked the parking lot. The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful at check-in. When we arrived there was only 1 parking spot available and had we not been able to get into it we were told that they had an arrangement with an adjoining hotel. A little odd..... Overall, I would recommend this hotel for "basic" accomodation

Very convenient location just 2 blocks from the downtown. Lovely river walk. Able to use the great pool, jacuzzi and steam room from the affiliated Banff Park Lodge next door. The staff were very sweet and helpful. Will definitely stay there again

Booked with Orbitz and saved an additional 10% off the cheapest other online options. Check-in was fast, easy and spot-on. We had paid the extra for the river view and were not disappointed. Staff was excellent

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bow View Lodge. The location was excellent! We watched a deer, elk, and a beaver from our window looking out towards the river. Our original room was very small and we asked if they had anything else. We were really lucky to get the suite for a $50 upgrade, and it was worth every penny. The beds were great, we had a kitchenette, a couple of sofas, flat screen TV's, and a wonderful bathroom. We spent a lot of time sitting on the benches by the river and enjoying the scenery. The staff was also very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

The best feature of the Bow View was the location; out one door was the Bow River and downtown was a couple of blocks out the other door. The room was a basic two-bed hotel room, but clean, comfortable, and having a balcony was nice. Underground parking at the adjacent property was also nice.

The Bow Lodge is located right on the river and easy walking distance to numerous attractions, shopping, local dining and trails. It was easy to get a kayak, sit by the river and put your toes in the water. This made so much ease - not fighting to find a parking space or parking in the parking facilities. The General Manager was very accomodating and assisted us in choosing attractions to make our stay even more enjoyable. The sister hotel next door provided dining, spa/sauna/fitness that was very nice; however this hotel made hiking and walking so easy along the path/trailnext to the hotel. Nice to have a refrig in the room for soft drinks or leftovers or quick bite in the morning before getting started.

The Bow View Lodge is a great little place we found one year in the midst of a very busy ski season. Affordable, yet cozy, I have satyed there three times and have always been satisfied. The area around the Bow View is simply stunning.Incredible views as you walk by the Bow River, jade green water, and a cozy little neighbourhood are nearby. In the off season, it is also a good place to see some local wildlife that graze the river. Close amenities include restaurants, gas stations,a local supermarket, and a movie theatre, all within a two block radius! This is one of my personal favourites in Banff!!!

Very nice and pleasant hotel staff. Check in and check out were speedy and efficient. Even though the ice machine was broken, the front desk was stocked with coolers of ice all the time for use. The room is spacious and very clean. The bed is extremely comfortable, which is good for my bad back. The hotel is a little old but it is well maintained. Good location. Ample free parking spaces. Overall it's great value. I would definitely stay in the hotel again unless there are better bargains. I would also recommend the hotel to value oriented friends.

The accommodation is in a log cabin - a bit dark but comfortable. The kitchen equipment was adequate albeit that there was a very good breakfast and restuarant facility onsite. The bathroom could do with a shelf to put ones toiletries on otherwise ok. The location is a short distance out of town but one needs to have own transportation. The advantage is that its nice and quiet. Our bungalow (cabin) overlooked the river. There was also on site laundry facility.

Especially liked the balcony view of the River. Hotel was quiet, room was spacious. Downtown was walkable, and car parking was ample.
