A 5 minute walk from CU, the hotel is clean and looks very nice. The staff is friendly and attentive. Each room as its own recycling bin and you have a choice of whether or not to waste paper on a receipt. The rooms were not spectacular but adequate. however, the walls are thin. I could hear TV from one room, a guy on his phone in another, and a person using the bathroom from a third. Everything quieted down around midnight, which is when I sleep anyway, so it didn't affect me too much.

Their commitment to recycling. Looks a little run down.

We were attending the CU Boulder Orientation and needed a hotel in walking distance to the campus. Unfortunately, we were not completely satisfied with our chosen accommodations. In my opinion the hotel was average and pricey for the room accommodations offered. This hotel did not take our state employee discount. The bathroom door had a hole in it (in spite of the advertised recent room renovations). I felt the safety of this room was lacking. The recliner chair provided was broken. The windows did not have screens on them. If you were to open the windows (we were on the second floor), a child could fall out. There was not a microwave oven in the room and that would have been nice for a late night snack. Although the room has air conditioning, the hall corridors did not, which left a "musty" smell to them leaving an uncleanly impression. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and helpful in finding a near by convenient store. The hotel was not noisy allowing a good nights sleep. Most of the basic amenities were provided, coffee maker, small refrigerator, shampoo, blow dryer, lotion, iron/board, towels and soap. It would have been nice to have cream rinse and a microwave oven in the room. This hotel has dinning availability with entertainment. If my stay was longer than one evening, I would have looked for another hotel due to the price, (If the cost is not an issue, than it would suffice).

Dirty beds, chlorine heavy smell, rock-hard bed. Won't stay here again.

The best things were that it was close to my mom's house and the price was right. But I applaud their zero waste policy and the natural food choices in the restaurant. We had some plumbing problems and the place is showing its age a bit, but those are nitpicks. It's a great place to stay.

Convenient location, friendly young people at desk andclean. Carpet and paint didn't appear fresh. Lobby area smelled strongly of chlorine. All in all a nice place to stay. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were definitely a nice surprise and used. Complementary breakfast was a disapointment. Mostly like a continental breakfast. Friendly, helpful young people working the desk.

This trip, we were only looking for comfy beds (which we found) at the best price, as we expected to spend little time at the motel. We chose this property on the recommendation of locals. We were disappointed to be put on the second floor, without a working elevator (what they have is more like a chair lift), which limited my husband's ability to take advantage of the property (recovering from knee surgery). The lift was on when we arrived, but we never found it working again. Also, the hot tub was difficult to get in (no steps). I'm curious why this property, which is VERY eco-conscious, pays so little attention to handicap travlers? Our room had some repair issues, which were addressed within hours of informing the front desk. The pool is warm and very enjoyable - but I would have enjoyed it more if the hours were longer. The business center has a printer, a great extra! The breakfast hot dish was funny tasting scrambled eggs, but plenty of bread, fruit, and cereal choices. The staff was very helpful. Overall, this is a great place for a family who will spend time at the motel, with it's pool, fitness, and rock climb area. They have entertainment in the restaurant/lounge most nights for those who want to imbibe and enjoy. The Outlook was a bit pricey for our needs this trip, as we did not expect to take advantage of their extras - but, thanks to Orbitz, we were able to find an acceptable deal.

Comfy beds. No parking included and adding parking is very expensive. Clean, well-kept hotel with friendly service and modern rooms. Great location near the 16th Street shopping/night life area. No parking garage included and parking is $26 a day (so after staying the night it is $26x2 for just a Sat/Sun trip) and no street parking from 2am to 6am so must use garage parking. Seemed to attract a younger crowd that would continue their partying after the bars closed at 2am. I was woken up repeatedly from loud neighbors in the hall wall, but it was not intolerable.

The Boulder Outlook was a wonderful surprise. We knew it wasn't a chain so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very warm and welcoming, even though we were supporting the other team! At night the bar is a wonderful blues venue. Great music and service. Breakfast was very good including organic milkk, yougurt and peanut butter! Choices were better than most. We will definetly stay again. We could walk to the football game and this was great since parking is limited.

Politically progressive, down to earth, eco-conscious. The pool water was cloudy and dirty looking.

Courteous and helpful staff; free internet. Had to pay extra to rent DVD player; some fixtures/tiles/etc were run down/cracked/splitting/etc. For the budget conscious and family travelers, this is a great place to stay. Kids seemed to really enjoy it! Otherwise, the dining was decent more like a decent pizza place. Nothing spectacular in terms of food. Not a perfect/new appearance in terms of the room and fixtures, somewhere between 2.5-3 stars.

The staff at the Overlook Hotel and Suites was very friendly and accommodating. The green goal of the hotel is very refreshing. On the down side, the hotel is a bit dark and the room was dated but very comfortable.

Very Friendly and helpful desk people, the room was very comfortable and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. It was'nt swanky but it was clean and smelled good and had a fun atmosphere. The desk clerks were very friendly and caring and it showed. I really wish we had another night to spend there. We asked for a quiet room and it surpassed my expectations.

Great location! Directly across the street from CU We were touring colleges with our 18 year old son, and looking for something conveniently located near University of Colorado, this was across the street! Beautiful view, live entertainment, and nice pool. We had our 10 year old with us, and it was nice to have some entertainment for him. It was cool because people had their dogs at the hotel! It was like being at home!

Great green inn with focus on conservation. Free purified water. Cracked bathroom sink and huge gap under door that allowed cold draft. Great green conscious spot that was comfortable and affordable and had a taste of frivolity. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Purified water and low-cost water containers, free healthy continental breakfast, free business center and internet access, and nice common areas.

Indoor pool, eco friendly. Rooms were very with no frills. The staff was very friendly and pleasant and I liked that it was eco friendly. My friend and I had a great time at the restaurant bar and the pizza we had there was really good.

Location. Room seemed to be a smoking room. Was not offered non-smoking room. Budget hotel. Minimally acceptable rooms. Great pool / bar area. Fine, other than room that smelled like cigarette smoke.

Staff friendly and helpful, easy to check in late. Did not have gift shop with toiletries or snacks. This was a great stay. Loved the business center, free copies, breakfast, and green concept. Room was large and comfortable, felt taken care of by very friendly staff.
