Boulder Dam Hotel located in Boulder City Nevada was exactly what we expected. It was a historic adventure in the early 1900's that we truely enjoyed. The hotel room had been modernized to make us feel welcome in the older historic building! With a small museum and gift shop attached to the lobby celebrating the boom time of the 1930's when Hoover Dam was built. This was truely a wonderful vacation!

Unique, original and historical. The morning reception staff was rude. I had a good experience until the morning we checked out. There was supposed to be breakfast served, but there was no where to eat the breakfast. Whoever was watching the front desk was having a loud, obnoxiously political conversation in the parlor and ignored the guests trying to figure out breakfast. Then, one of them, a woman who must have been in charge, snapped rudely at my husband, who was simply putting down his bowl of cereal, because apparently there was not a glass cover on the table closest to the door on which he placed it! That behavior is unacceptable treatment of paying customers. The hotel staff should clearly indicate where people are supposed to dine. If having tables covered was such a concern, that should have been taken care of prior to serving food. All the tables were covered except for the one right inside the door; where logically a person will sit down to eat. My husband hadn't said a word, and looked like he wanted to cry. I will not stay there again.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was charming. Shower/tub was angled in a "V", very strange/uncomfortable taking a shower. Price was more than fair for the room. Rooms were kind of stuffy during the middle of the night, but certainly to be expected for an old hotel. Very comfortable hotel.

Clean cotton sheets; music in the lounge; beautiful lobby; friendly staff and owner. Room was small. My partner and I booked this b&b style hotel in order to be close to the Hoover dam and within close driving distance of the Las Vegas airport. The hotel met both these expectations perfectly. Although the room was small, the bed was comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and there were stores located within walking distance. It was nice to find an inexpensive hotel with great service so near the Hoover dam.
