Description:
Location. The Bosnia National Monument Muslibegovic House is located in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 300 metres from the reconstructed Mostar Bridge and five kilometres from the UNESCO site of Tekija. Mostar Airport is seven kilometres away. Hotel Features. Dating from the end of the 17th Century, the property was home to the Muslibegovic family who ruled much of Herzegovinia and maintain political influence today. Opened as a hotel in 2006, the house is one of Mostar's main tourist sites with exhibits of Ottoman calligraphy and other artefacts of cultural importance. Modern amenities combine sympathetically with original features and decor, maintaining the property's historic atmosphere. Guests can relax with a cup of coffee in the private courtyard, or in front of the lobby television. Safe-deposit boxes are available at the 24-hour front desk where staff can assist with tourist arrangements, and there are complimentary Internet connections. Complimentary parking is available nearby. A complimentary continental breakfast is offered each morning. Business amenities include conference rooms with audio-visual equipment. Recreational activities offered in the vicinity include windsurfing, fishing, and scuba diving. Bicycles can be hired nearby, and there are hiking and biking trails to explore. Guestrooms. The 10 air-conditioned guestrooms at Bosnia National Monument Muslibegovic House have Ottoman period decor, with carved wood panelling, arched windows, and antique furniture. All offer televisions, complimentary wireless Internet, coffee and tea making facilities, and separate sitting areas. Marble bathrooms have modern fixtures and are equipped with hair dryers. Expert Tip. The Muslim holy site of Tekija was built in the 16th Century during the reign of the Mostar Mufti, Ziauddin-Ahmed Ibn Mustafa. Natural springs flow out of nearby cliffs to form the scenic Buna River.
