Built on the old "Dixie Highway," and named after early Kentucky explorer Daniel Boone, this historic hotel and restaurant is prominently located on the College Square in Berea, Kentucky. In continuous operation since 1909, Boone Tavern continues its tradition of being staffed primarily by Berea College students.
Berea College students play a big part in Boone Tavern by providing our guests with friendly and courteous service in the hotel and dining room. Boone Tavern is one of 130 different work areas and departments staffed by Berea College students. In addition to carrying full academic loads, Berea students are required to work at least ten hours per week, earning money for room, board, and books as they study at this remarkable college that is top-ranked nationally by U.S. News and World Report.

What are your breakfast options?: Our four star restaurant is open from 7:00AM-10:00AM everyday for breakfast, which usually costs between $6.00 and $12.00.
What transport is available to get around?: In order to get to Berea from, for instance, the Lexington Bluegrass Airport or Louisville's Airport, you would have to rent a car or buy a bus ticket. There are no shuttles from major locations to Boone Tavern Hotel. For transportation within town or nearby areas, the Berea community is serviced by the P Cab company. Many of the attractions (shops, artisan and craft centers), as well as the Berea College campus, are within a 5-10 minute walking distance of Boone Tavern's property.
What can I do nearby?: There are many artisan and craft shops within walking distance of our property, and the Berea College campus is just across the street.
