Quiet and attractive. The room was very ordinary for an upscale hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, but very ordinary. It could have been a room in a chain motel anywhere. I think this hotel was very overpriced for what you got.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times in the last 6 months. The service and staff is superior and the breakfast buffet and lunch buffet outstanding. I use it for business and leisure and really enjoy the spa and healthclub. It's very convenient to town and the University and is very peacful.

Good location for visiting Montecello, UVA and Montpielier

The restaurant was excellent. The room was not as nice as I expected. I liked the hotel. The staff was friendly and did a good job. I was disappointed with my first room choice. It was small and cramped but I contacted the front desk and they immediately gave me a new room that was much nicer.

I loved the spa treatment and the quaint rooms in the country setting. I recommend the hotel staff be a little more polite to the guest, for they never know who they are being rude to! ;-) Peace~

Could have done better by making reservations with BHI directly through their website

From the moment the doorman opened the door for me it was a pleasure. Just the right amount of relaxation mixed with sports club. That I couldn't stay longer. Could be a little pricey but, in the off season it was well worth it for me. Homey, relaxing, romantic, comfortable country inn with plenty of southern hospitality.

We stayed at the Boar's Head after seeing it's location to other spots we wanted to visit. The staff was rude or non exisitant when we needed service. The room was old, smelly, mold in the bathroom. We asked to be moved to another room but were told that they were ""sold-out"" which we found to be an out right lie. We stayed at the Omni the next night and it was beautiful! Most certainly worth the extra . Dont stay hear!

Had a fantastic weekend at the Boar's Head. Stayed in the Main Inn. The room was quaint and super quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The bathrobes were soft and plush. The front desk was very helpful and nice providing local maps. Concierge has lots of restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend the Old Mill room for Sunday brunch. The omelettes and belgian waffles were delicious. Don't forget to save room for the decadent chocolate bread pudding. The spa was also outstanding. Got massages, manicures and pedicures. All services were great. And the Sports Club offers a good workout facility and outdoor heated pool. The tennis there is top-notch with indoor and outdoor courts.

It was the perfect place to get away during the winter for a mini vacation. Plesantly the same even though it has been 35 years since we were there last. All new additions fit perfectly with the old Boar's Head Inn. Cudos to the designers.

Dinner in the restaurant was exquisite! The views are beautiful and very relaxing. The lunch buffet was bland and tasteless. There was an itch of dust on the outdated wallpaper in our room. However, upon request, the staff cleaned it. The hotel rooms need major updating. The views are priceless.

It was quiet, it was beautiful. It's got the creaks of an old hotel. I was really surprised by this hotel. The room was central to the lobby, and the turn down service at night was a wonderful touch - we'll be back.

Staff was fantastic. Ambiance was wonderful. I highly recommend. Great service, nice accommodations, good food.

Loved the little deck to sit and read, very relaxing, loved the turn down service. Hotel desk staff English as second language - difficult for me to understand. I only stayed one night at this hotel but would highly recommend it for the cost and the accommodations.

Pretty setting. Relatively pricey if you don't take advantage of amenities.

We were charged a resort fee of $8.00 per day. Also, to use tennis courts you had to pay an additional fee.

Very classy. Great service (hotel staff bends over backwards for you). Amazing restaurant to dine in; the chef is very talented. No walkway from rooms to main lobby (perhaps due to current construction). The staff is friendly and gives such kind services. The interior of my room and bathroom were to my liking. They have a sitting room where they have coffee and tea at hand for their guests. The atmosphere is quite lovely.
