The Mediterranean-style Blue Reef Island Resort consists of six buildings located on North Ambergris Caye and 9 miles north of the San Pedro Town Center and Airport. Ambergris Caye is approximately 30 miles from the mainland and the Belize International Airport. The Blue Reef Island Resort is also 2 miles north of Mayan Ruins, 1 mile west of the Barrier Reef, 8 miles north of Holchan Marine Park and 6 miles north of Chico World Heritage site. As the resort is only accessible by boat, the staff will pick up guests from the San Pedro Town Airport. From the resort, scheduled water taxi rides to and from San Pedro Town are available daily. When in San Pedro, golf cart rentals are available for transportation. While at the resort, the Grand Strand Reef is less than a half-mile offshore. The property's amenities include public internet service, free parking, outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, children?s activities area and on on-site restaurant which offers room service. The resort also has a DVD library. convenience store, cooking grills and washer/dryer facilities.The one bedroom/one bath Lanai resort suites hold a maximum of 4 people and utilize 1 King Bed and 1 Queen sleeper sofa in the living area. The 2 bedroom/2 bath Veranda resort suites hold a maximum of 6 people and utilize 2 King beds and 1 Queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Room amenities include TV, DVD and CD players, hair dryers, iron/ironing board, full kitchens with dishes and utensils, along with views of the Caribbean and Barrier Reef from the suites' verandas or lanais. Check-In Procedure - Guests are met by staff at San Pedro Town Airport and escorted to check-in, then taken by private boat to the resort. After Hours Check-In Procedure - Advanced notice is required for checking in after hours. This place is a nightmare. I had roaches the size of bats in my room and the staff is difficult to deal with.

"Blue Reef Resort offers first class 1 and 2 bedroom units, the facitities,food,staff,and location are second to none,The staff meet you on the island when you arrive, then you are taken to the resort on the Dreamer "" a very cool boat, Pompano unit 606 has the best views in the resort with sunsets and sunrises from the same chair on the Veranda. The reef is just off the coast in full view. The fishing,diving,snorkleing are excellent, and the staff will serve every need you might have."

"I love Blue Reef Resort. -boat rides are amazing with blue,green water & waves breaking over the reef - staff is friendly & caters to your every need- food the best- prettiest location on the island- remoteness perfect for running, biking, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, & star gazing, the reef is healthy & full of wildlife- from my 3rd floor veranda I saw incredible sunrises & sunsets, shooting stars, coastal views & the tree canopy- Grand Villa unit was beautifully decorated & large-I can close my eyes and still see it's beauty!"

"Blue reef is a well planned and well constructed resort. The individual units are very well appointed and have a very good ""wow"" factor when you first walk in. Kitchens are very well appointed with almost every appliance. The pool and beach area are small but have all the correct ingredients for an island getaway. The location of this resort is remote. The beach can be walked in either direction. The staffs at this resort are friendly, excellent, responsive and accomodating. Great rooms with spacious patios, complimentary bottled water, convenient complimentary boat rides to/from town."

The accommodations at the Blue Reef Resort are beautiful - one and two bedroom condos that are beautifully furnished and all face the Caribbean Sea. The pool is overlooking the water and very well maintained. The landscaping is made up of coconut trees complete with a thatched roof bar. The staff is outstanding - friendly and very accomodating to all of your needs. The fishing is fabulous as is the snorkeling and scuba diving.Our daughter had her wedding there in June and was extremely happy with the results. Everyone strived to make

"The condos are beautiful, very high end, with amazing views and a very well equiped kitchen. The beds are very comfortable, and cleaning/maid service was excelent. The pool was always cool. This resort is very remote. This is more of a owners resort, then geared toward a hotel type place. There limited boat/ferry rides included (free of charge) to town, the chef(s) will prepare almost anything for you, and it is amazing food. This is a quiet place, perfect for a romantic get-away, and away from the touristy loud, San Pedro town. "
