The Mediterranean-style Blue Reef Island Resort consists of six buildings located on North Ambergris Caye and 9 miles north of the San Pedro Town Center and Airport. Ambergris Caye is approximately 30 miles from the mainland and the Belize International Airport. The Blue Reef Island Resort is also 2 miles north of Mayan Ruins, 1 mile west of the Barrier Reef, 8 miles north of Holchan Marine Park and 6 miles north of Chico World Heritage site. As the resort is only accessible by boat, the staff will pick up guests from the San Pedro Town Airport. From the resort, scheduled water taxi rides to and from San Pedro Town are available daily. When in San Pedro, golf cart rentals are available for transportation. While at the resort, the Grand Strand Reef is less than a half-mile offshore.

The one bedroom/one bath Lanai resort suites hold a maximum of 4 people and utilize 1 King Bed and 1 Queen sleeper sofa in the living area. The 2 bedroom/2 bath Veranda resort suites hold a maximum of 6 people and utilize 2 King beds and 1 Queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Room amenities include TV, DVD and CD players, hair dryers, iron/ironing board, full kitchens with dishes and utensils, along with views of the Caribbean and Barrier Reef from the suites' verandas or lanais.
