The staff was very friendly and helped out giving information where to park and provided excellent customer service. The only thing the hotel room was kinda of small for my taste. But cute and had the right amenities needed. I would diffently go back to.

Good tidy rooms, well kept, and excellent location. Not much. Stay started well, with bright and cheerful reception. Room was clean and fairly well appointed. Very happy with this choice, perfect location for SoBe.

Excellent hotel, modern rooms, excellently located just one block back from all the hustle and bustle of ocean drive and the beach. brilliant service $24 to park your car yourself in the garage across the street for 24 hours or $25 valet. top hotel, would stay again.

Standard room at The Blue Moon is a nice size. Easily holds a queen bed, desk and chair, dresser & TV and comfortable chair. Air conditioned and ceiling fan but windows could not be opened. Also had a large walk in closet with safe and a nice bath with tub. Hotel charges a per day/per room fee ($7.95) but then gives you a bar chit for $5 (covers the price of 1 beer) and a nice breakfast buffet: muffins, toast, boiled eggs, juice, coffee and our favorite, make your own waffles! Blue Moon is conveniently located between 9th & 10th on Collins. You are 1 block from the "action" on Ocean Ave and the entrance to the beach. Easy walk to beach and sun. Hotel will provide beach chairs for a small refundable deposit. Hotel entrance really looks like the entrance on their website. We enjoyed sitting at a table under the blue umbrella enjoying the street scene. Hotel also has an outdoor seating area in the back and a tiny pool (but who needs a pool when you can get to the beach in less than 2 minutes). We would rate The Blue Moon as a 3.5 star type hotel (scale: 5 += deluxe and 1 = flea-bag). If we ever return to SoBe we would stay here again. Hotel recommended Puerto Sagua for dinner. A Cuban restaurant full of locals and tourists all who want a good meal at an extremely reasonable price. We ate there 2 nights in a row!

The main idea of this weekend getaway for me was to lay out and relax on Miami Beach. The one thing that I was looking for in a hotel was that the rooms were clean and the room met that standard. The rooms were very small and the beds were twin sized which was fine for me and my friend because we are both small. This room was definitely only met for two people to stay. The hotel itself was pretty decent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is not a luxury hotel by no means, but it is fairly decent and I would definitely stay there again. The location is very convenient. It's a block away from the beach and you could walk to some of the clubs. The oee thing I wish they had was free internet. When we were checking in on our flight, we had to pay 9 just for a couple of minutes online. There was an internet cafe close by, but we wanted to hurry up and get ourselves checked in on our flight.

This was our first time together in Miami, and I selected Blue Moon based on the positive reviews. In this case, the reviews did not disappoint. From the friendly staff, to the breakfast buffet, to the clean and nice rooms; this hotel is terrific! I will be staying there again on our next trip.

We read the reviews on the website boasting a quiet place with a restaurant (not open) Oh and no ice in the hotel....couldn't even get a glass of ice for your room. Colorful rooms...no. We booked a deluxe room that said it was larger with a pool view. We got a room facing the street. It was soooo loud ALL night up to 5AM we got very little sleep. then the worst part....my boyfriends wallet was stolen from the car while in the valets care. He left it in the car glove box with only one credit card but social security cards and other personal information. To make matters worse, when he called the hotel to tell them, they didn't even apologize, just said they contracted the valet out and to call them! We would NEVER stay there again.

The rooms were small and the a/c wasn't the strongest but it was mostly clean and quiet. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. We were able to walk to dining, entertainment, shopping and the beach within minutes. They offer a 1/2 day rate at a reasonable price if you have a late flight out.

The location was great. Room was not clean, linens were not washed, and the staff did not correct issues. I was very disappointed in the hotel. First, the linens did not appear to have been washed. Second, there was something sticky on the desk that had attracted ants. When we told the hotel staff about our issues, they said they would fix it but never did. I was very disappointed and will never stay there again!

Excellent location, decent sized room and maintained well. Not brilliant customer service some more friendly than others. Air con in room was non existant but very noisy would not like to stay there when it is really hot. We soon found out what the ear plugs next to the bed were for, not the traffic, but noisy air con, we had read this but did not think it would be that bad, but it is awful. The buffet breakfast at $7 p/day per room was excellent value, this included the use of sun chairs which was also good due to the cost of sun beds on the beach being expensive. Beware of gratuity which was charged at 20% in a lot of eating and drinking places.

We had 5 couples and 5 rooms. My trip was booked in August, other 4 booked in April and May.. 2 of us got there on Thursday.. The 2 rooms were totally diff. I went to the front desk to find out ours was not a suite. When I tell you this room was small it was small. (I thought).. I asked the front desk could we get a room like the other and she said it was much more for a suite and since we went threw travelocity we could not upgrade. Friday the other three couples arrived a little late due to the flight being delayed for the storm. They arrived around 7pm. They booked their trip back in May and was told they didnt have a reservations due to the late arrival.. They found them some rooms. 1st room was so small that there suit cases could not fit in this room. (As I said I tought our room was small) 2nd room the door open to the next person room & would not lock. They got moved to another room and it had bugs in it and had to be moved again the next day. No internet for 3 days and still got charged. I asked 4 wash clothes on Saturday and was told they did not have access to get wash clothes. Person at the front desk gave me three big towels and gave me some scissors to cut the towels to make some wash clothes..The Bartender at the Blue Moon & was GREAT!!I will go back just because of him. He needs to be the manager of the Blue Moon. We called back because I got charged for Incidentals & the others didnt. The manager still has not called us back.

I truly enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was relatively small but it was just myself and a friend from the area so it worked. Very clean and well kept. I liked the small pool area, at times it felt like it was my own private area. The continental breakfast was good (better than your usual apple, bagel, and bad coffee). The location was perfect close enough (but not too close) to the clubs on Washington and Ocean Drive. Everywhere that's worth going is in walking distance. I would definitely stay again. The price was decent and I booked at the last minute. If you want something extremely fancy, I guess you could pay a lil more but who goes to SoBe for the hotel? Use the extra money for a drink at Fat Tuesday.

Very close to ocean at South Beach and also close to South Beach activities. Friendly staff and daily breakfast and light snack included.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast and excellent location. Maid service was sometimes late to clean, parking was $25 a day for valet. Pleasant little hotel right in the middle of South Beach. Less than 2 blocks to the beach, about 7 blocks to Lincoln St. Comfortable but not luxurious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast with a waffle machine! I would stay there again if I were in the area.

If you are staying here and arrive on a Fri or Sat night, be prepared to go searching for parking, no valet was in attendance, hotel has no parking of their own. There is a parking garage about a block away that charges a day, if you show your hotel receipt, but once you park, be prepared to leave your car in the lot--there is no in and out once you park. Although the hotel is clean, there is no gym and the pool is the size of a large hot tub with only about 6 lounge chairs. Our room one on the end of one wing, so we had a less than lovely view of the back alley trash bins with a daily 7 AM wake up by the dumpster truck, plus nightly car alarms going off, people yelling down the alley, party goers hollaring, all and all pretty noisy. Since the bathroom window glass was broken in one corner, the noise was even louder than it would have been if the window had not been broken. When we asked for the discount for the restaurant, they were out of them. The front desk did not call in my wake up time correctly, and I was given a call to wake up an hour later than I requested and almost missed my return flight. There is constant construction going on around this hotel, if you want quiet and a nice pool, forget this one.

I was with a friend on vacations. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just in the heart of Miami Beach. A block away from all the restaurants in Ocean Dr. and the shops in Collins Av. Parking in the streets its complicated, and the hotel valet parking was a little bit expensive, but we parked in a public garage at Collins and 7th, just 2 blocks away, so it was good (24hs = $20). Breakfast at the hotel was not included, but just for $4 per person per day you could have a good deal to have breakfast there. I recommend it. The rooms were good, nice and clean, and not very noisy. Overall, it was a very good deal.

The only thing worthwhile about this hotel is the location. The hotel is dirty and small and should be a 1 star not a 4 star. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and was very disappointed when I arrived because I thought it was a 4 star It was small, dirty, had no amenities, no charm. would never stay there again.
