Well I agree with the June review, I think the reputation of the Blue Bay Inn far exceeds the competition. I have been traveling to the Red Bank, Middletown area for years and found the Blue Bay Inn this past spring. I usually stay at in Red Bank but lately have found the two hotels there were impersonal and to far from town to walk back and forth. My office suggested the Blue Bay Inn. There reputation from my perspective and that of the surrounding corporate people represents the top of the line when it comes to traveling on the Jersey Shore. The staff is well versed and quite friendly. It is in a town so walking out to eat, to the movie theater or to run in the morning on the new trail along the water is refreshing. Many thanks to the Blue Bay Inn and the staff. I would suggest taking the negative comments with a grain of salt as I have found nothing to reflect the comments made, if anything exactly the opposite. Jon

Well I find it very interesting to read this review. It almost appears that this article might have been from an ex employee or competition. Check out the website it’s even nicer in person than on the web. My experience is and has been very different. This was my 12th visit to the Blue Bay Inn in the last year. Once a month I visit Atlantic Highlands. I have stayed in numerous room all different types and sizes. First the hotel is new just over 3 years old I think. The staff is incredible and I could imagine any establishment cleaner, nicer staff or more accommodating. Considering the hotel has been written up in New York Times, Daily News, AARP, and numerous other columns (all within the last 2 years) representing the hotel and management as one of the BEST Boutique Hotels. What is most interesting is the hotel actually sends out there laundry and the sheets and pillow cases are perfectly pressed. Every time I have stayed there. Take it from me the traveling man, The Blue Bay Inn is first class all the way. The only negative thing is some rooms are a bit smaller but that is a European Boutique hotel. Just ask for a larger room and they have always been helpful. Oh call the hotel for reservations do not make them online. They offer free upgrades when they have bigger rooms for free. The beach "Sandy Hook" is just 2 miles away and there are 10 other restaurants in the town along with a movie theater and playhouse. They call Atlantic Highlands the Other Seaport and rightfully so.

Do not stay here! We came here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. When we checked in, we were greeted by a very rude, pretentious man who thought he was too good to be working there. The sheets on the bed were dirty and looked as if it hadn't been changed in awhile. When we told the front desk, they refused to believe us and would not come change the sheets.

Stayed one night in a queen room.(least expensive) Small, but comfortable and clean. Our bathroom was very clean/shower only. It was not inexpensive, but a fair price for the area. Walking distance to the harbor and several places to eat. Free parking located a block away. Coffee, juice, and pastries in the lobby in the morning. Friendly staff.

I had to take a trip into NYC and found the Blue Bay Inn. I just wanted to let everyone know that this hidden hotel was awsome. The staff was great and went out of there way to fax things, I recieved a package and it was given to me immediately and the restaurant Copper Canyon was out of this world. I travel a lot and really have not found a hotel with this much personal attention was given to me as a business traveler. I would highly recommend the Blue Bay Inn.Fernando
