this hotel has every thing you need. it is small and freindly but it on a very steep hill with a very busy road outside on a bend so you take your life in your own hands whenever leaving but there are stairs (about a thousand) to avoid the road. there is a bus outside that will take you to the beach or into palma. there is a lot of stairs to the pool but there is a lift. very nice place.

I booked this hotel at very late notice because I needed to be in the area for 2 nights. I found the staff to be charming and helpful and the hotel to be more than adequate to my needs.

The hotel seemed to be further out of Palma than was stated, which made our journey into Palma centre a bit longer than we thought. Also, the beach was hard to find and also seemed farther away than stated. There was also building work going on right next door! This didn't bother us as such, but we would like to have known before staying there so that we could have made an informed choice.

A bit out of town, but there are loads of buses which only take 20 mins or so to the City Centre. Also loads of buses towards Magaluf. The beach at Cala Mayor is not far away, and while there are a lot of steps, it's not really the end of the world. I really liked the pool and pool bar, and there were plenty of sun loungers, even in the middle of the afternoon. There weren't too many other Brits staying here, which is a good thing!

The only downside to my stay at The Blue Bay was in being granted a room at the back of the building which looked out over the mountains and unfortunately a new development. The rooms at the front have an amazing view of the coastline so to find that yours is at the back is a major disappointment !

Understaffed on pool bar - 10 min wait for drinks. Pool closed at different time to stated time in room. Hotel bar shut at 11.30. A lot of guests were their on an all inclusive stay & they seemed determined to stop people over indulging. However for paying guests it was quicker to walk 50 yards up the hill to get served

The receptionist on arrival was very rude. We hadnt printed off the voucher and he told us off. When trying to access the voucher on his computer he told me off again for breaking it. Not at all professional and spoje to us in a terrible manor. The room was nice but dust was a mass under the bed. The evening meal was only just worth the 10 euros we paid for it and the breakfast was worse. Dried out bacon, sausages and egg. No fruit juice as the machine had stopped working. As had there common sense,why not put juice in front of the machine in jugs if the machine would not work!! i have worked in hotels for 10 years and this is the worse i have ever stayed in.
