This hotel is very family friendly. The staff is courtious and they speak english. A perfect vacation destination. Very relaxing.

2bedroom timeshare with 2 full bathrooms,3 balconies and a living/kitchen area was CLEAN. we read previous reviews and took 32 ounce insulated mug with us for our drinks. alcohol seemed watered down.,food was adequate., beach was small and chairs disappear fast so get up early and find your spot for the day. The activities staff work very hard and are multitalented!!! so try and see atl least one show. Take the ferry to Isla Muejeres and rent a golf cart for the day. We had luch there and an afternoon at the beach. It was great! Also take the catamaran snorkel trip wiith Albatross. Enjoy a massage on the beach...it was awesome! Enjoy the sunrise over the marina. This resort seemed to be perfect for families traveling with young children or groups of older adults and older couples. front desk was always helpful, room service only for first two days then we didn't get any more slilps to fill out. OH and be ready to put on your swimsuit when you get there so you can start your vacation before your room is ready. All -inclusive starts when you check in!!

Once you are here they got you! Expect to pay a lot for the crap that they throw at you. We had reservations for 1 week - had to stay one night. We ended up staying up at the Holiday inn Express on Pok ta Pok - with excellent experiances. We had rented a car (- it takes a while to get used to the driving - but get the insurance) so we escaped. The Front desk staff were very rude and they did the old bait and switch between packages. We had to stay one night because of our late arrival - We got all inclusive - Basic which included cheap bar drinks and an awful breakfast Buffet. Elevators are non existant in this hotel and the rooms were spartan with an uncomfortable bed and pillow on the second floor - beware the bathroom is on the first floor. The facility was in relatively poor - very used condition. h e internet access was 5 per hr. The hotel is a very long way from the hotel zone requiring expensive taxi's or a long bus ride. Do youself a favor - Book elseware and understand what the charges will be and have it in writing and keep a copy with you when you check in. Also, Avoid the time share hawks like the plague especially at the airport or under the guise of a hotel conciorge. There is also a Wal Mart Discount store in downtown Cancun where you can pick up disoount souvinirs drinks and food. I wish that i would have paid attention to the other negative reviews as they were correct. I do not understand how anybody could have rated this place a positive one.

We wanted to try all inclusive and this was the cheapest one. There is a reason for that. Food was overall not good. Breakfast was ok, but lunch/snacks/dinner were like cafeteria food. The location is also really far from the hotel zone and central Cancun - you have to take a cab there - so there wasn't an easy way to grab other food. The drinks were ok, but watered down. We're not heavy drinkers so that didn't really bother us. The staff was very nice and helpful. We got suckered into the timeshare schtick which was a total waste of 2 hours, but we did get $75 towards tours. Overall it was a fine place to start, but I think we will upgrade for our next vacation.

Where do I begin? We thought this was a clean family oriented hotel, we were so terribly wrong. We traveled to this hotel on April 10th and had a late flight in, checked in at 10pm, first off, after a flight that was delayed from Newark, we were hungry and expected the 24 room service the description boasted, NOT SO! We were offered hot dogs and stale nachos and were told that everything else was closed and we were out of luck for the night until morning. As I waited with my 2 month old baby in the sweltering lobby we were told there were no elevators to our room which was all the way on the other side and on the top floor. Anyway, we got to our room and I was so grossed out. The bathroom was so NASTY and there was no air conditioner in the room, it was sticky and muggy. With no other choice for the night we proceeded to try an settle in. I literally closed my eyes when i went into the shower because it was so gross. We were told all the rooms were the same when we requested another room for the rest of our stay. Well, it only got worse, when we went to bed, I was itching the entire night! My baby had bugs crawling on her and we developed rashes from the bed. I prayed for morning to come. When we got up my husband said we need to get out of here, we complained to the manager who assured us we would not be charged for the night after he saw the filthy pillows and dirty room. Still looking for refund. The breakfast buffet was horrible. As we ate, water dripped on our table from the ceiling.

The hotel was NOT 1 mile from the airport like ORBITZ said, they DIDN'T have 24 hour room service like ORBITZ said. The food was not very good, the Seafood restaurant was closed due to the SWIN FLU. They shut the A.C off everyday at 5p.m due to nobody coming to the resort. What about the ones of us who did pay a lot of money to go there? The pool area was nice but the only thing to do there was sit by the pool & drink or go on one of there excursions that cost a ton of money. We did go on one of them and the only reason we went was because we received a voucher for sitting through a 2 hour "Time share" tour & talk. They were doing anything to get you to buy. They gave people cash or vouchers to do the "Tour". It was not what we had planned on doing on our vacation. The staff was very friendly & would do anything for you but they were limited to what they could do also. The resort turns out to be a "Time share" so they have VIP seating on the beach & other amenities that only VIPs could have. There were like 10 people there when we arrived & you would think they would do anything for you since you did show up & not cancel your trip because of the "SWIN FLU". We will NEVER go back to that resort again or book through ORBITZ since they lied about the resorts amenities. We got there on a Monday & stayed until Sunday. Our last couple days they put a deal out for the locals & more people came but it was still really sad that we paid so much money for what we thought we were going to have on our vacation/5 yr.anniversary. The rooms were nice & clean all the time. We ended up paying $12.00 extra per night for a ocean view balcony suite & the people we went with didn't pay the extra and got the same suites. I am NOT happy with ORBITZ & will NOT use them again. I think they should give us a free trip since they lied about the resort & a whole lot more.

My new husband and I just got back from our honeymoon in Cancun. The hotel was beautiful and clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially when hubby left his wallet in the cab. The staff was quick to respond and got it back in no time--they really saved our vacation. The buffet dinners were excellent, and the entertainment was lively and fun. Casino night left a little to be desired, but we were tired out from the beautiful pool, white sandy beaches and kayaking on the ocean so we didn't mind. Our room was nice--oceanfront with a great view of the bay, and much bigger than I expected. We had a small kitchen area with a sink, refrigerator and a table and chairs. The gift shop had all the little things we forgot to pack and was reasonably priced--about as reasonable as you would get on a resort. I second the scary drive out to the place--the cabbies took us through a not-so-nice part of town, but I always felt safe and secure on the resort property. The hotel also had cabs to take us into town or over to the Hotel Zone where the clubs are. One recommendation: if you're going to party and go clubbing every night, you should probably stay closer to the Hotel Zone since there is transportation there but not back to the resort. We were fine since we came for relaxation--not drinking and dancing all night. Not that we didn't get our drink on--the all-inclusive part was amazing... we didn't ever have to worry about carrying wallets or cash around with us! All in all, it was a great place to stay, we'd definitely go again!

We stayed for 5 days and with in the first hour we was ready to go. The pictures are very deseving the resort looks and smells very old, balconies are shared if you are on the first floor. You have a choice between on restaurant a day not the 3 or 4 they mention, the buffet has 5 items on it, one restaurant is very good (Ostras) but you can only eat there once during your stay. The grill only serves hot dogs and hamburgers durning the day and the one night they have dinner you choose between 5 pasta dishes. Drinks are horrible and are served in elementary school small plastic cups. I had a dirty towel folded up in my room. College dorm size ironing board. Food was cold most of the time. No alcohol selection at all and drinks are watered down, 1 kind of beer poured in a kiddie cup from a bottle not cold at all. Beach full of seaweed and rocks can't walk on it. The beach is narrow and nothing to do on the resort. Key to the room was a regular key on a rope (now thats old). The fridge was suppose to be stocked it was empty the entire stay. No disco as listed, no theme nights. Mosquitos in our room lots of them every where. Food is recycled from lunch and dinner. Had a few dirty cups served to us. No late night snacks available. Just not really clean. The staff was the best thats the only good thing I have to say about this resort. It is very frar from everything we took the bus downtown and to hotel zone everyday thats the area you should stay in. We talk to other familes that agreed.

We were a bit upset by our experience. We traveled in May and there weren't very many people in the hotel- they didn't run the air conditioning in all the common areas and 2 of the nice restaurants were closed. I had previously sent emails to the hotel asking about making advanced reservations and they never told me that the restaurants were closed. I feel like I was deceived. The staff was great and the hotel was nice. We had a good time, besides those few items we had complaints about.

The hotel is about 15 mins away from the Hotel Zone where all of the action is in Cancun. So if you are going to Cancun to get away from craziness that is where you want to be. The service was great, and so was the food. I would really recommend this resort for a family. But their sister resort tempations was great for a couple which is where I would recommend for a couple.

A friend and I stayed here on our first trip to cancun. I'll start off by saying its not in the nicest part of town. No worries though, you wont be walking anywhere, a cab is only 10 feet away at all times, and the Police presence is surely felt. The Bellhop X is a very nice and helpful person, took great care of us. All the employees are super nice, and try their best to make sure everyone is happy. The bus that takes you to the sister resort is in serious need of repairs. The hotel and rooms are very charming, not just another hotel, they feel authentic and they have personality, very beautiful. The Don Diego is the best boat to go on, great crew, alot of fun. When they say all inclusive, they mean it. If you dont want another drink, speak up! They keep the food and drink coming like you wouldnt believe. No bugs ar anything dirty to complain about, I was impressed. Always people sweeping and mopping, painting, etc.

This is a wonderful family site. The kids left the first morning for kids club and didn't want to come back. They met friends right away, did crafts, played video games and spent time in the pool all with the kids club staff. The beach was wonderful for walking or swimming. The pool was designed with children in mind. The buffets were perfect for the family and the menus changed every meal. We were expecting to be tired of the food before we left but the contrary was true. The food tasted good and there was a good variety. The resort is a distance from the hotel zone, but since we ate and drank at the facility it didn't matter to us. We liked being more private than the busy hotel zone area, the beach was not crowded and we always found a deck chair. They had lots of evening activities as well, so we really didn't need to go anyplace else. I highly recommend this facility to anyone traveling with kids who want freedom and fun in a way that make you feel safe. It was relaxing for all of us. It is a great value too.

I went on a last minute getaway by mself just to relax. I enjoyed the service at the hotel the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. But I didnt realize the hotel wasnt in the hotel district which was kind of disappointing because outside of the resort the area didnt look like it was the greatest. Also I went around the time of the whole "swine flu outbreak" so there wasnt very many people at the hotel, which was good but they didnt have buffet style food. Only one restaurant waas open and it was all a la carte. Other than that it was a great experience, very relaxing, great staff, right off of the ocean

We spent 3 days at the blue bay and had a great time. When checking in we were upgraded to better rooms just as a curtiousy. The staff was very friendly and all spoke good english. The rooms were big and clean and the pool was nice and clean. It was a quiet setting even though there were children around. We were waited on hand and foot and someone way always asking us if they could get us anything. There was constant food and drink available tho you are served the cheaper drinks unless you tip good. We tipped everyone that helped us a dollar or two and the service just got better....needless to say the more you tip, the better you are treated. The food was not gormet but OK. The hotel will shuttle you to another hotel so you can catch the buses and sight see and shop. It was easy to get around and buses are everywhere. The buses or shops will not take american coins only paper money and you will almost never get american money back...get ready to have paseos. The nightly shows are very very intertaining and great and there is alot of activities going on during the day. The only negatives are the beach isn't so great. Lots of sea weed so we never did swim and the location is way far away from the hotel zone. Our cabs to and from the airport were about 45 to 65 dollars each way! Like I said...the food was just OK...nothing to brag about but not gross. All in all we had a great stay because of the staff but I will probably stay somewhere closer to downtown next time.

Our experience with both the hotel and the airline was a very good one in spite of the Swine Flu Outbreak. However, the shuttle service that is affiliated with your company left a bad taste. When picking us up at the airport, they said that you made a mistake that our hotel was in zone 2 not 1 and it would cost me $14 more. Then picking us up from the hotel, they were 30 minutes late.I showed the driver my documents and he drops us off at the wrong terminal. We went trough all the health screenings before we found out we were at the wrong terminal. Luckily the airport shuttled us over to the correct terminal in time to make the flight.

Go to the Coco-Bongo, you will not regret!! The hotel will help you with that. Trust on them. Take the trip to Isla Mujeres, don't drink to much. It was a wonderful experience. When we were getting to the hotel, I did not like the location. It was a little scary, but when we get into the hotel it was a totally different impression. Clean, organize, friendly environment. The rooms were pretty clean, every day. We got a room with balcony and that was priceless. The food was really good. Not that fancy, but a lot of variety. The staff, WONDERFUL. Ill come back. Great value.

From the minute you walk in you feel welcomed. There is a welcome breakfast that's really a timeshare tour but the guide was very outgoing and fun to walk around with so it was not that bad. You receive a nice tour of the Isla de Mujeres if you make it through the tour! Yippy! That tour was awesome! The island is beautiful and the guys on the boats were so much fun! The buffet on the island is delicious! And you get to take pictures with a shark! And hang on the gorgeous beach. The hotel buffets were good, food was fresh but the same almost everyday. The restaurant Oysters & Ostras was awesome!! Food was delicious! The hotel had activities everyday! Kids and adults have things to do ...stretching at the pool, pool aerobics music trivia, volleybally on the beach, kayaking, dancing, soccer, casino night, karaoke night... the list goes on and on. The staff is great!! Martha, Dario, Victor, Charlie, Miguel, David, Geny, Diego, Marina and how could we forget our favorite waiter Seney! Everyone was wonderful. We have intentions of returning with some family and friends! Thanks Blue Bay for a terrific vacation!
