It was w/in walking distance of a wedding that we were attending. hat was great (and the last compliment I have of the stay!) The hallways had ceilings so low that we could easily touch them. The room bathroom had no vent fan. The handle broke off of the sink faucet. The wedding party had booked a hospitality suite where we could all gather and have snacks and beverages between wedding events. The elevator to the hospitality suite was broken. We had to take outdoor stairs to the suite during a weekend of horrible wind and rain. The worst part was that the ground floor door was locked from the outside, so we had to walk across the pool deck in a tropical storm to get back into the lobby. After a few trips over to the hospitality suite in these conditions, we just gave up tring to meet there. The lobby had no door mats, and we would slip and slide dangerously across it every time we came in from the rain. The registration clerks were indifferent to us. We asked about our wedding gift bag and they replied that they had several weddings and weren't sure if we got one. They gave us a gift bag for a different wedding party! (We gave it back). The valets (valet parking is free and required) never once asked if I needed help or greeted me. I parked the car myself and carried all of my own bags. The free Sunday brunch was a joke. The buffet was half empty, and we didn't get coffee until the end of our meal. Given the same situation, I would have stayed in a hotel further from the wedding. It would have been well worth the cost of a cab to get back and forth from a hotel that puts an emphasis on customer service and facility improvement. The hotel looks like it's outdoor amenities could be fun in different weathe rconditions, but we will never go back.

That day we drove 2 1/5 hours to get to the hotel from our home. We were so excited that it was my fiance birthday and that I got us a very nice hotel. Well when we pooled up there were 2 young guys standing by the door I thing they were there to may be take bags or take care of the car. Well we parked and was walking in to the hotel the 2 guys were fooling around and were to busy too say hello I guess it's because we looked 7 years older then them or not rich enough. Then when we walked in we waited in a small line and than a tall guy with blond hair came out and did not smile, but greeted us gave us the reservation. When we got to the room we thought the tv would be nicer and it was not it seemed very old, we only had about 8 channels that worked, one of the lamps in our room did not work and it was dirty, and we also had spiders in our room. The rest of the day we spent at the beach and when we got to my car my alarm battery died, so my fiance opened the car with the alarm making horrible noises going of got his wallet and went to buy a new battery while I was garding the car. My fiance told me later when he came back that he walked to the our hotel and asked the tall guy if they have any batteries, before the guy answered a asume the manager yelled out of the office no, the the guy with an unhappy face told him to walk way far away from the hotel and that a particular store might have the battery. When my fiance was telling me all of this I could not believe that a hotel where we spent our money and where there is so many employees could not have helped him. He left the hotel and walked about 15 to 20 min. then saw a middle age man sitting on the porch he asked which way is to this store and man said you have a long way to walk let me give you a ride. They drove to that partucular store and they did not have this battery, the man was nice enough to wait and drove him two couple other stores and after about 3 stores they found the battery it was the last one.
