Great location in Chicago, traditional building but very modern interior. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was a little pricey for what is was - but there is also a Starbucks in the basement!

Service was excellent and room was awesome. Parking.

Was here for two nights on business. I had the standard room and thought it was one of the nicest hotel rooms I'd ever stayed in. Bell staff and front-desk were extremely friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel that has been beautifully updated and renovated.

The room was very clean and stylish. I think I may have even been the first one to stay in it. Every employee I met was very helpful. Restaurant was not open yet and the fitness center looked like it was still under construction. All in all, a very beautiful hotel. I would certainly stay here again.

The most important item I look for in a hotel is a clean room. This hotel had a very clean room. The bathroom was very clean and the entire staff was friendly. We were travelling with two other couples and they were able to put us on the same floor. The only thing I could wish for was to have the lake view. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

Classic hotel right on S. Michigan Ave. Near to Chicago Institute of Art. We walked to the Magnificant mile on N. Michigan because the weather was so good, but it was a pretty long walk.

Staff was very friendly & helpful. All of the staff, from the front desk to the bellman were extremely friendly & courteous. The room was clean & beds were super comfortable.

From the door man to our exit, this was a great experience. I came upon this hotel in a search to house our son prior to surgery. Choosing two queens proved to be invaluable. My husband, son, and I had a perfect sleep on the "delicious" beds. The rainfall shower was certainly a bonus....Our son, age 26, had never experienced a room with robes......... This experience seemed to calm him and have a positive force on his surgery. It is a beautiful historical site.

A great location in the loop! A short walk to Art Institute and State St shopping. Room was immaculate. Comfortable bed and real HD.

The cleanliness, courteous staff, great location, fabulous beds. We were told it came with breakfast but it did not. I would highly recommend this hotel. We have stayed at the Hilton across the street and preferred this hands down!

Very nice! Spacious, comfortable room; friendly staff. Fabulous locatiion with great park views. Watch the road construction in the area right now... and may want to buy your own soda/snacks elsewhere and bring in rather than pay the in-room snack prices! Overall, though... excellent stay (especially with the online company last minute deal!)

We spent the weekend in Chicago to relax, sightsee, and enjoy fine dining. The staff at the hotel were very helpful in getting taxis, giving us restaurant information, and holding our luggage for late checkout. We would definitely stay at Blackstone again.

They provided robes. Free internet in the lobby, but charge for internet in the rooms. All in all, a nice hotel, with very friendly staff. The hotel didn't have a pool, but we were in town to visit tourist attractions, not live in the hotel. The hotel is in a safe location, and is within a 10-15 minute walk of eating establishments. Do not take young children to the hotel restaurant. I would have eaten there but I wasn't on an expense account (Dinner is around $60 a person).

Marriott has outdone themselves with The Blackstone. A beautiful and elegant hotel, excellent service, beautiful rooms. I loved everything about The Blackstone down to the smallest little detail. The staff goes above and beyond! Great location in Chicago. I will definitely stay at The Blackstone for all my future trips to Chicago.

The location was great, within walking distance to the Shedd Aquarium, the Art Institute, Millenium Park, the Planetarium and other attractions. Lots of nearby green space and parks. A knowledgeable concierge was able to help with directions and other advice, as well as restaurant recommendations and reservations. A good launching pad for seeing Chicago.

Marriott now refuses to guarantee the type of room, ie number of beds. We reserved two double beds and it was changed by Marriott to 1 King. I e-mailed immediately, and supposodly they called the hotel and changed it, but when we arrived they knew nothing about this. We were told, first come, first served. So beware, if you will arrive after 3pm, and need anything but King, don't reserve here. They also take up room space with a mini fridge that only their products for sale can fit into, and 'snacks' for $ for small tin of peanuts, or jelly beans. In a room that charges almost $ per night I tire of this over the top attempt to take advantage. NO bath tubs, small rooms, beds uncomfortable, no top sheets, only comforter. If you are allergic stay away, everything is down. Rooms are newly renovated and trendy, but policies are not traveler friendly.

Even though the location seemed to be off the main drag, the availability of transportation made it very easy to get around.
