Excellent Hotel and FoodThis is a fantastic Hotel in a great situation. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble from the moment I arrived until checking out. Dinner was extremely good and the service was prompt and not intrusive. Breakfast was great freshly prepared to order much tastier than the normal large hotel buffet experience will definitely be staying here again.

a disappointing stayI decided to book a superior room but we were very disappointed with the room which faced the back of the hotel and had a small skylight type window. The decor was very dated. When I mentioned this to the receptionist when checking out she said that I had been given this room as I'd booked with laterooms. She suggested that next time I should ask for a 4 poster room as they were lovely and had sea views!

Early summer break at the Bishopgate Hotel, BeaumarisThis was our second stay at the Bishopgate Hotel. On this occassion we had a standard double room with a sea view. The breakfast had everything you would want to set you up for a day exploring the local sites. We ate in the restraunt each evening as the food was exceptionally good. The Welsh Black Fillet steak was superb and cooked to perfection. If you enjoy good food this is certainly the place to dine..

Charming hotelWe really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed and informal. Breakfast was delicious, we couldn't get in the restaurant due to its very good reputation, but we recommend Courts. Room was fine, with a nice sea view, and yes, Pollyanna the cat was charming! We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and have recommended this hotel to friends and family.

A lovely, friendly hotel with loads of charm. Room was excellent, as I was upgraded to a sea view room. Food in the restaurant was outstanding too. I would definately use this hotel again.

Warm welcome at the BishopgateWe were made to feel extremely welcome from the beginning to the end of our stay at the Bishopgate. We don't usually dine at the hotels we stay in, preferring to 'explore', but having read other reviews of the food and noticed non-residents also dining there we thought we'd give it a try. As well as being good value for money, the 3 course set menu (there was also a la carte available) was excellent. I have been craving another helping of the beef ever since!Would definitely reccommend staying here if you find yourself in Beaumaris!

Fabulous ExperienceCan't praise this small hotel high enough, although very small the staff were focused on customer service and very profesional. A couple of rooms have sea views and I was very lucky to see right across the menai straits to the mountains. Possible the cleanest hotel I have stayed in and such a lovely change from the usual chains my company normally choose. If you get the chance to stay here you absolutely must eat in, the chef was more than happy to cook for my silly individual vegetarian reuirements, where in the past I have overheard chef' being very rude about us veggies!!

Excellent breakfastserved by delightful staff.Dinner was disappointing.Good ingredients spoilt by dated dishes.Who in their right mind serves splendid rib eye steak with soft cheese perched on top surrouded by a sea of gravy?Similarly a good fillet of sea bass was emasculated by a 1970 style sauce

Return visit to this hotel and as long as the food stays the same I shall keep going! Beaumaris is a truly beautiful spot if one is unfortunate enough to have to go to Bangor where hotels are very limited. Tiny hotel BIG in hospitality.

It would be better if the bar stayed open past 11pm for residents. I was told it was closed because the staff had to be back early in the morning, but that's not something that guests should worry about, that's a management of staff issue. Perhaps you could annouce last orders at least. On a positive note, one good point was that there was copious amounts of tea, coffeee etc. in the room which was very welcome.

Attractive Georgian town house on main street of Beaumaris: decor comfortable and subdued, rooms furnished with very good bed and location surprisingly quiet for town main street. Our room - on the top floor - had a new and well equipped ensuite and even a view of the sea! Good breakfast in large dining room. Helpful staff - overall a very pleasant stay.

What a suprise, the first dog friendly hotel I have stayed in with excellent food. Customer service second to none, I will be back with the dog!

Hotel easy to find. Hotel in middle of refurbishment. Room quality, hot tap loose, bed very hard, window draughty making room cold.

My partner and I booked a room for one night during August and on arrival were upgraded ,complimentary. The room was bright and the decor was lovely with a 4 poster bed and large bathroom/shower. The service from the start was friendly and professional. The breakfast was very good and again the waiting staff were very good.We would highly recommend this hotel as we found it to be charming, along with the staff.
