We had a nice time. We had the worst meal of our extensive traveling career at the restaurant. VERY Poor service, took over an hour to get a cup of coffee with milk. Requested 4 times. Had to eat yogurt with a fork. My husband was served a heel of bread. Over all staff very friendly.

Location, setting. Bed smelled musty. Great location, good workout room, pool, and loved the yoga class. Room was small rustic, but the bed smelled musty and we had to have the linens changed.

The campus is very nice, especially the pool area. I do not really appreciate the $15 per adult fee for using the amenities, but other than that, a good place.

We took our children on our first big family vacation for the week between Christmas and New Year's. The rooms pictured on their website and in their literature are not the rooms that you get. Instead the rooms are old and filthy and haven't been updated in at least 20 years. Their manager's excuse was that is was a "historic" hotel. Our rooms were filled with smoke three nights because the smoke from the fireplace in the room above ours flooded into our rooms so thick that we could barely see or breathe. Not to mention the fact that the smoke alarms never once went off! Our clothes and suitcases were so smoke filled that when we unpacked at home, our entire house smelled of smoke! The property that the lodge is on is beautiful and the restaurant at the main lodge, though extremely pricey, had good food. Unfortunately, that did not out-weigh the misery of our smoke-filled stay. We will not be back.

I've stayed at Bishop's Lodge once before and had a delux room that was wonderful. This time we thought we'd save a little and get a regular room. We felt the room, bath and bedroom furniture and sheets seemed old and dingy. I felt that these conditions were definitely not worth the high price of a normal room. The moral of the story is that if you're not willing to pay extra for a delux room, I wouldn't bother with the regular rooms.

Grounds are lovely, room very nice. Resort fee at $14.95/person added nearly $65 to the two night stay.

Described as a resort - you have to pay extra to use the pool and basic faciilties. Not very clean. Horse's were not well cared for - hooves on some horses were in such bad shape they shouldn't be ridden. Overall - very poor stay.

This upscale resort was everything one could want in a resort! It is 3 miles from town, but the shuttle took me everywhere I wanted to go, even at odd hours! This place is fantastic! The room was large with fireplace and lovely bath and patio area. The staff was so nice and eager to please. The meals were pricey, but the best I had in Santa Fe. I went here for rest and renewal and I hope I can sometime return again. It was a very special and charming place. The grounds are beautiful and the spa is great also.

I loved the fire place in our room. It was very clean and comfortable. They did nit bring me my free newspaper both mornings.

We stayed at Bishop's Lodge for 8 days. The sink stopped up on day 6 and even though we told everyone in sight about it, nothing was done. The restaurant was the highest priced in town. Rooms in the original lodge where you will stay need some work, outside veranda was not swept in main restaurant during our entire stay, stairs from parking lot are only fit for a mountain goat, so I do not advise this hotel for seniors, especially with the high altitude, I almost died. Nice trails (but hazardous) on the acreage around the hotel made up for the room.

The setting was beautiful. They had not yet turned on the heat & it was very cold the first night. I would not recommed this hotel based on the extra $14.50 fee per person charged.

Resort was lovely; offered free use of exercise classes. Charged $14 + $1 resort fees per person per day. Bishops Lodge is a charming place. Nestled in the foothills in Santa Fe, it is private yet convenient to the Plaza area (necessary to drive there).

Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, quiet and comfortable. The Bishop's Lodge and Resort is a place I would recommend and go back to. The staff is very friendly and all went over and beyond to help us with our stay with directions and recommendations of restaurants, stores, and other places to visit. Just about 5 minutes (by car) from Santa Fe. The grounds are beautiful, if you like serene beauty and the mountains. Great place for a romantic get-a-way!

Beautiful surroundings and great spa facilities! Bathroom towel rack and shower control a bit rickety but it's an old historic building. I was overjoyed at seeing the lovely grounds at Bishop's Lodge and the restaurant/lounge was romantic and cozy. I would return here again just for the hotel stay!

Lovely setting, great pool & restaurant. Needs remodeling, hard to get to room. The whole resort needs an update, small things everywhere that needed repair. The room was dificult to get to, winding staired path, tough with luggage. No parking by the room. Out of date bathroom and bedroom, really needs a sensitive renovatin that would keep its historic charm but make it fresh, up to date and worth the star rating and cache' that comes with the name and reputation.

Location and grounds. They charged an additional resort fee. This is a nice, historic resort hotel located in a beautiful setting north of Santa Fe. The restaurant is quite expensive and only average.

Solitude and the beautiful view from our villa. The Manager on duty and was very accommodating and treated us like royalty.
