The hotel was not updated the TV was horrible picture and volume. The carpet look that it needed to be reinstall in the floor wrinkles everywhere. The service was good but the rooms need to be upkeept alittle bit more.

A comfortable right in downtown Las Vegas and the Fremont St Experience. One of the few remaining hotels with open air balcony overlooking the Fremont St Experience. Great value for money - more location rather than room and facilities.

front desk was helpful. the room it self was awful the tub would plug up with water. the view from the window was looking at air unit. the sheets on our beds were never changed.

The Hotel accomodations were great for the price we paid. I would recomment the Hotel to my friends and family. We are going to have another reunion next year and we will probably stay at the same hotel.

This place was great and super cheap. The room was clean, quiet and in a great location. Fremont Street is much better than the Strip! Gambling at Binions was fun and the slots were paying off. The staff was helpful and nice. We enjoyed all the Casinos along Fremont Street and never ate at the same place twice (on purpose.) Best meal The Omelet House Cafe in the Plaza. It is a MUST eat there place. Great food, atmosphere and staff! The brew pub at the Main Street Station is a great place to have a few beers but don't eat there, food was tasteless. Find any way but Grayland Transportation to get to Fremont Street. We were stuck at the airport for almost an hour. Experiencing Fremont Street is a must for people of all ages. You just got to go see it and hear it for yourself!

From X the bellman to X the manager, this was the worst vacation of our life. As soon as we Valet parked, the bellman asked us to help with the bags due his bad back. When we got to our room, we got two double beds instead of one king size. The bellmen told us to call the front desk and they said sorry, we have no other rooms. during the call the bellman laid down on on the beds and continued to complain about his back. This went on for five minutes. The room was dirty and missing many items. Our next experience involve the casino and it's many slow, rude employees. It was Saturday night and every casino had about 40-50 people waiting for dinner. We went back to Binions Coffee Shop and there was no line. We found out why = the service was the worst ever. We waited for five minutes before the manager even acknowledged our presence. I had to go tell her that we would take the open booth I saw. She ignored me and hollered that we need to get back in line and she could only serve one person at a time. By that time four more people had come in behind us. After 10 minutes we finally got seated and the waiter passed by and said " I'll be with you in a few minutes" the other four were seated and guess what, he took their order first because everyone know four people are likely to tip more that two.We complained and no one did anything. We ended up filling out a report about it and on one did anything. At checkout we explained our problems to the Hotel manager and he did nothing. There was a lot more wrong.

This is probably the worst experience I have ever encountered in my many years of travel for both business and pleasure. Upon arrival at Binion's, Saturday 4/19/08, we were greeted with the most dis-respectful front desk people I have ever encountered. Our rooms were not ready and we were told to come back at 3:00 PM since they "were short on housekeeping staff and are behind". We did return at 3:30 and were told in a very unprofessional manner that the rooms were still not ready and would not be until at least 5:00 or 6:00 PM. When we inquired why we were told again that they were short on housekeeping staff and that there was nothing they could or would do about it. Since this did not seem of great concern to the front desk we asked to speak to a manager and were told there were none in the hotel and would not be until Monday. (How can a property of this size not have an on-site manager during the day?) Finally after we refused to leave without a room, they finally came up with two rooms. The one room was very "worn". The bathroom was filthy, mold growing on the shower curtain, bathtub drain not working, floor appeared to not have been mopped in days, curtains were so moth eaten that small pin holes of light shined through as is the curtain had been shot with a shotgun, the carpet had cigarette burns in it, and the bedding was filthy. The second room was worst than the other if that could even happen. On top of that the room was so noisy that people staying in the room had to almost scream at each other to be heard. Old hotel that needs a good cleaning!

My overall experience was nice. The lines for check-in, meals, etc. were reasonable and I was a met by friendly staff. Unfortunately as for my room, I must have a different standard for air conditioning. The room was 80 degrees when I first got there, so I turned the A/C on as I left for the day, but it did not help much. To make a long story short, I called the maintenance guy two times to fix the A/C and the second time their note stated the air is 60 degrees from the unit. The temperature did not drop below 79 degrees! It was a little uncomfortable for me to sleep in. I did not understand how my room A/C could only maintain 79 degrees when the hallway was probably 3-5 degrees cooler right outside my door, and the casino was probaly close to 10 degrees cooler. Other than the lack of A/C in my room, I have absolutely no complaints with the hotel or casino.

Might be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpet was a mixture of foul odor and cigarette burn holes. The comforter on the bed had spots all over. Outside of the windows was beer bottles. The water in the room tasted odd. The air system was very noisy. I did not want to walk bare foot in the room. The customer service was so bad that I asked for a new room and they told there no way. I asked for a wake up call and recieved none. This being a casino I had some concerns about security. Security was understaffed and out of postion to have total control of the casino. Even at $** a night that was too much. Do yourself a favor and just visit binions to game and do not stay there.

What a horrible experience at the craps table!!! I walk up, buy in for a couple of hundred, and basically get harrassed the whole time I am there (for all about ten minutes). I like to set the dice when I throw them and two older dealers are harrassing me with snide remarks while the boxman named Allen just sat there and let them do it. I have never been so insulted or harrassed at a craps table like this ever. If this is how Binion's wants to do business, I would suggest you take your business elsewhere.

Bowled in the national tournament, gambled, went to shows. Air conditioning in room was not working, making sleeping very difficult. Location was great. The Freemont Experience was wonderful and it was as least 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the strip.

We stayed in this hotel because we were going to the Nascar races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I would rather take the few extra minutes to drive than stay there again. The room was a non-smoking room but it reeked of smoke. The draperies had mold on the back side and were full of holes. There was moldy tile in the bathroom and missing tiles as well. No water pressure and a lack of hot water if you showered after 10am. The second day there i killed two cockroaches in the bathroom. The ice machine was inoperable for two of the days we stayed there. This was a shame because I love the history of downtown and I don't understand why they dont upgrade! The beds were uncomfortable because the "sloped" to the middle so my husband and I had to sleep in separate beds. The maids did a great job with what they had to work with and they were very friendly. We won't be staying there again

It has declined significantly over the years. Stay there only if you must. The 4 Queens or Fitzgeralds down the way are much better.

Extremely reasonable room rates. Great location to stay downtown....right in the middle of surrounding casinos. The Coffee Shop offers very tasty meals 24/7 They don't have the number of table games as in the past but the dealers are still fine. It appears that a gradual makeover may be in process. A couple of the ladies rooms have been redone (one near registration and one on lower level by the Coffee Shop.) A non-smoking room was not immediately available for at least another hour which would have been 5 PM or later. I think their checkout time of Noon may be the reason for this. We accepted a smoking room (my travel companion does smoke but would have been ok with non-smoking). Upon opening the door it was very evident that it was a smoking room. It really needed a makeover. The sheers and overdrapes were quite dirty and just needed to be tossed. I have a feeling the other rooms on that floor (18) were in the same condition. Perhaps they have started to refurbish but couldn't find out if that was the case. I suspect it will happen though because the new owner also owns another hotel and there has been some refurbishing done at that hotel. Anyway, downside to all that is we will probably have to pay higher rates IMHO. Thank you travel website, I will book through you again.

22nd floor was HOT. They changed my room to 7th floor - much better. Lots of small things broken all over hotel, lights, elevators, etc. Staff very nice. No hairdryers or safes in rooms. Pool okay, great bartender. Will spend more per room next time in Vegas. Cafe breakfast pretty dismal. Watching the poker tournaments was interesting. Bed was HARD and uncomfortable, but it was cooler in new room.

Here's the positive: extremely kind desk and housekeeping staff; very easy to get to other properties, in fact the California is steps from a back entrance; very easy to access valet from your room elevator, and valet staff are great. Here's the negative: absolutely filthy windows you can barely see out; carpet with large worn places, I mean down to the floor; burn places all over the sink; dark spots on tub where finish is just worn; decor from the 80's and faded. Worse than this in the night we had someone wake us trying to get into our room, with some sort of metal object, probably a screwdriver from the marks it made on the door frame. We then were moved by the staff to another room. Bottom line: there are way too many nice rooms in Vegas at a good price to put up with this. Never again!
