The desk service was quick and accommodating. The room was in great shape. The hotel was pretty busy, but still quiet. The restaurant downstairs was really good. I chose the hotel mainly because the housekeepers are unionized, but there are plenty of other reasons to stay here.

The bathroom did not have a vanity, and the bathroom mirror was the only mirror.

Rooms are a little tired but what a fantastic deal - wonderfule rooms, great service & good central location for RI conference centre. Good vale for money and definitely will do again

While the Online travel agency price was below the price on the Providence Biltmore website, the comfort of the room itself was overstated by Travelocity. The furniture in the living space needed reupholstering, the AC units were in poor condition, the bathroom countertop space was almost non-existent, and the shower water pressure was very poor. The hotel is in a great location, the staff suggested a very good place for breakfast one morning but didn't seem aware as to which places were open for breakfast or brunch or at all (DownCity has a great brunch). The consierge and valet service were very friendly, almost overly so. The location itself is very close to a mall, in case you forget to pack something. If you're going to stay there and have the time, take the trolley tour that starts and ends around the corner fromt he building.

We loved the hotel, very clean, roomy and comfortable. We would stay there again.

Location. Room was terrible. Got into room, hated it. We asked for another room and was told not. Can't believe this was considered a 3 star hotel.

The Hotel itself was very clean, the staff courteous and helpful. The room was more than I expected.I reserved a basic king room and was given a junior suite . The views were spectacular. My only complaint was the lack of info on the trolley I could have saved a few dollars on taxi fare to local attractions. I found the trains and busses conveniently within walking distance from the hotel. The property does not have a breakfast but, there is a Starbnucks in the lobby; a few blocks down there was a Dunkin Doughnuts and a fabulous family owned diner. The seafood restaurant in the lobby of the hotel was pricey but, excellent. Afew minutes ride away there is an abundance of restaurants. There was a $24.00 a night parking fee for your car but, there are parking costs anywhere in the city; the staff was very fast to retreive the car when requested.Overall it was a good stay.

This was a one overnite stay on business. We went looking for the historic appeal of the hotel, Not disappointed. The lobby is fantastic. The staff is very friendly seems to be a trait in Rhode Island. Not so much 25 miles north! The rooms are older but renovated, very clean. Well worth the stop, will definately return! Reccomend to anyone looking for old charm with high class appeal.

Outstanding hotel, room, and hotel staff. I don't recommend the restaurant. Not customer friendly. I love this hotel and can't wait to return.

We stayed at the Biltmore for 2 days in April 2008 (a mom and 2 young kids, along with a friend and her daughter in a separate room). We prepaid on the travel website for a run of the house room for around $135 and when we saw the room, realized it was way too small for our needs for 2 days (a king size bed and no room for much else) - would have been ok for one person or a couple maybe, but not kids. But for $30 more per night we upgraded to a jr. suite which was fantastic - 2 king beds with flat screen tv plus a separate room/sitting area with tv, fold out sofa, etc. Tons of space and nice elegant decor. We loved it! It was a great deal for all the space we had and had a nice luxurious feel while still being pretty kid friendly. Our friends were right next door. Starbucks in lobby is very helpful. Good central location although downtown Providence is a little dull. Valet parking took a while to retrieve car from garage every time we needed it but overall we had a great stay. The hotel has a somewhat old world feel and beautiful lobby. Hairdryer in bag in bathroom is a pain - minor gripe but you have to use it in the toilet/bathtub room instead of out near the sink which might have been easier. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything at the hotel was perfect, with the exception of one thing. My room was directly below the ballroom, so I was able to hear the DJ and dancing on my ceiling until about 11:30 PM. I was on business and really needed the rest. But, the service at this hotel is absolutely over the top and I would definitely stay again.

"I decided to stay at the Providence Biltmore cause I thought it was part of ""the Biltmore""chain.(which it isn't but still just as nice) When I arrived I was greeted by a doorman and my bags were already on a cart. I was brought to the front desk and they already knew my name! The lobby looked so charming. When I got to the room it was so nice. I walked in and there was 2 big beds a nice size living room. In the bedroom a huge Plasma screen. All I can say is it was the best night sleep i have had in years! I will return to the Biltmore real soon."

Location. The heat was unbearable. Opening the window was a small help. Noise was terrible. The hotel was a huge disappointment. My room was on the 15th floor. The entire floor was unbearably hot. There was no thermostat in the room. I opened my window as far as possible, and the outside temperature was around 50 degrees, but I could not get the room down to a comfortable sleeping temperature. There was a huge party in the park across the street from the hotel that lasted until 1:00 in the morning. The music was incredibly loud and literally vibrated my room until it ended. Stay at this run down place at your own risk.

I was in town for a friends wedding who's reception was in the hotel (the ballroom where the cocktail hour and dinner were held was nothing short of spectacular!). The only tiny (repeat TINY) complaint I had was the lack of a hotel store containing snacks, drinks, aspirin, toiletries, etc. Always makes for a nicer trip when you don't have to worry about the little things you may have forgotten. Other than that I would certainly recommend it without hesitation!

Within walking distance of the Brown University campus and great places to eat. Had a great view and a luxuriously comfortable bed. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend it to others and would definitely stay there again.

The shift supervisor, [...] was very friendly and helpful and spot-on with a recommendation for a restaurant. The valets took care with my car and also were very nice.I like the "old-world" feel of the Biltmore versus the newer hotels.
