We got a family room which was fantastic. Bunk beds with independent tellies should kids want to watch separate channels. Giant magnetic snakes n' ladders on the wall - just good touches. kids area far enough away from adult sleep area - allowed a bit of separation. Clean, friendly. Bar/Restaurant manager was FANTASTIC with our little boy and couldnt do enough to help.

Excellent location if you are visiting the Pleasure Beach with a view of the roller coasters from our bedroom window. Dinner was a big disappointment, the plates looked lovely, but the food was overcooked, underseasoned did not match to the service which was great although it was not very relaxing as they bustled around us setting up for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious.

Top bananaWhat a great family hotel, we all loved the fact that the roller coaster went past the window. The kids loved having their own space. Breakfast was busy but organised. Would definitely stay there again.

Night away with the FamilyThere is nothing more I can say apart from FIRST CLASS! Rooms were brill, the best a family could ask for. Staff VERY friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Can't praise it and them highly enough!

A welcome BreakI'd stayed here on business last year, an enjoyed myself. Brought my girlfriend and daughter up for a few days on the Pleasure Beach etc. we all had a great time, staff were excellent, resturant was a bit posh for a 4 year old, though she loved the room with her own tv. Booked up to stay again in September, but without the little one, so that we can be big kids on the rides !

Will definately stay again....Pros: The bigblue is a modern, clean and quiet hotel, considering it's right beside pleasure beach. Free off-road parking & wireless internet very useful. Gym ok for short stay. The staffs were very helpful + free room upgrade can't complain about that.Cons: A pool or spa would be welcomed for the price. Stayed in a room with adjoining door making it possible to here voices from other room, not the best.

Good value for moneyThe Big Blue hotel is great value for £49 / £59 (room only) but would not be if you have paid over £70. The rooms are spacious, the Wifi is actually free once you have received the password from reception, there is ample car parking and the reception staff are very helpful. The only downsides to the accomodation is the double bed, well its two single beds joined together and also the matresses (which need to be replaced) as I could feel the springs in my chest. The reception staff did put me in another room once I told them about the bed springs but even the next rooms matress was only marginally better. For £49 it was great, it was worth it for the free wifi alone, and the rooms was nicely presented and were clean. I will come again.

my wife and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in blackpool, and we think this is probably the best hotel in the resort. the room was lovely, room service prompt, and the food was excellent. if you get a good deal from late-rooms on this hotel, don't bother looking any further.

Big Blue HotelThe best hotel we have stayed in by far. My 10 and 6 year old daughters thoroughly loved it and my husband was well impressed. Evening meals in the restuarant were a bit pricey for a family but the breakfast was outstanding. The booking price also included passes into Pleasure Beach and free parking throughout our stay.

Fantastic value for moneyExcellent hotel, beautiful rooms, quick, kind and friendly service. Certainly the best hotel in Blackpool. One negative point. Don't expect a lie in beyond 9am, when the Pepsi Max roller-coaster starts.

Absolutely amazing. Perfect for young children!Only stayed here th 1 nite with a 7 and 1 year old as we were traveling 2 Alton Towers and this was just a stop over 2 break up th journey. Stayed in room 305. Massive bed and th fact that there was a seperate area for th kids to play/sleep in made it even better as we could stay up later and watch tv and have a drink or 2!

First time visitGood hotel generally. But:it is right next to the huge amusement park;its Room Service pizza was horrible and very expensive;no Earl Grey tea in the restaurant;the fitness room is small.

Let downHotel was fine itself, however paying just shy of £200 for 2nights and noticing the hotel was not fully booked yet we were given the worst located room which sat next to the theme park and being woken up every morning did not allow us to fully relax at the hotel. The noise ruined the whole experience.

this hotel was really nice, the only thing to bear in mind is that it is right next to the pleasure beach, and they start testing the big one at 9ish am!! our hotel room was meters away from it, so maybe not good if you're expecting a lie-in.
