This hotel is more like a motel and if you don't want to spend a lot of money then go for it. If you want something a little bit more clean and more comfortable I would suggest going somewhere else. The neighborhood is a little ghetto too. My friend and I went running and people were looking at us weird.

No internet access at all. This motel was a cheap place to sleep for a few hours. It did not haveany internet access.

Clean rooms Cheap price Nice to have a fridge Not the best neighborhood but I felt safe there Could use a little more parking Friendly staff Needs a do not disturb sign Bring your own shampoo and conditioner, not provided Hand soap is provided though Could use a microwave if you have a fridge Good motel/hotel for what we paid for it

I felt very safe, the office was in view, and there was a security guard at night. My TV remote was missing, my blinds wouldn't open, and the pool had a lot of leaves in it. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The room was old; but very clean. The first night my overhead light was burnt out, the next afternoon when I came back the light had been fixed without me saying anything. I came back late most nights and felt safe knowing there was a security guard on premises who more or less watched for my safe return. The water pressure was strong and stayed hot in the shower. The pool was lukewarm and refreshing; but needed the leaves cleaned out, and a few reclining chairs would have been nice. I was close enough to walk downtown, to the library, shopping mall, many food choices, and the trolley and bay were also nearby. Chula Vista is a great city and makes access to other areas easy.

I found this place is really cheap; however, the bathroom and restroom is extremely small,

Mini fridge in room. Cleaning staff left bathroom window open for venting every day. Good stay for cheap, but not close to major attractions.

Felt some reviews were unfair or unrealistic. My experience follows. This motel fills the bill for what it offers. Low price, clean room, friendly and helpful staff, clean property, cable TV, A/C, refrigerator, visible security personnel. More parking is needed for the number of rooms they offer. However -- one day a desk manager gave up his manager stall to me. He was very responsive and quick to offer it up, so that there was no chance of me getting a ticket or a tow. (THANK-YOU again!) If you need a honeymoon suite -or- for a special event; go to a more expensive hotel. If you need a clean, safe place to sleep . . . for the money, this motel is worth it. [ Note to motel owner: Lose the pool for more parking. You will not lose customers. ]

The hotel had a number of nearby dining locations. There weren't enough parking spaces for all the guests. The location was not in a comfortable neighborhood, there was very limited parking available, and the bathroom was barely suitable for even a single traveler. Absolutely no frills in the room at all!

Big 7 Motel was more than we expected. We were looking only for a place to sleep, but we received more than this. A comfortable and clean space to rest.

Nothing, it was a horrible hotel in a bad area. Again, it was a bad motel in a bad part of town. The hotel was completely misrepresented. It was not clean, and I felt unsafe in the area. It was also not close to the convention center, which it claimed to be. I would never stay at this hotel again.

The Big Seven hotel room was rather small. The bath towels were like hand towel size.Overall the place was niether clean nor dirty but very loud .The parking was atroshish!

Right off the freeway. Not enough parking. This hotel was dirty from the outside with not enough parking, the room wasn't anything great, and I was charged for a lost remote I never received in the first place. Better hotels in San Diego's Old Town.

It was just what we needed. A cheap, clean place to lay our heads for the night. The pillows were paper thin and there wasn't a remote for the TV.

Nothing! It was absolutely disgusting! Everything! Did not even stay there! When we got there, there was some homeless people outside and also a hooker! The rooms were gross and smelt like mildew. We left because we did not feel it was a safe environment.

Nothing. I hated everything, it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Horrible. Walking into the hotel I felt unsafe, like I was walking into a crack house. The inside of the hotel was a joke, like something out of the 1950's. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked at the slightest movement. Parking was almost non-existent. You had to pay extra for extra towels, even if there was more than one occupant of the room. I would never stay there again, no matter how desperate I was for a hotel. I would rather sleep in my car.

It was between the border and downtown. Very convenient. The area wasn't the best but it wasn't terrible. Just be smart. The neighborhood was a little less than ideal but they had a security guard circling the parking lot at night which made me feel better about parking my car. There were a lot of stores and food close by. We checked out some of the local bars and it was a quick drive to the border.

It had a (very small) pool. The windows didn't shut properly, it was noisy at night, the door had no secure lock. Although I booked a room with a kitchenette at a higher price ($8 more per day) than the same room would have cost without it, the motel was unable to give me the appropriate room - showing me a booking which didn't even mention a kitchenette - while still demanding I pay the higher rate.
