the hotel stay was ok. however, when checking in we had to change rooms a couple of times. at first they gave us a very smoky room when we wanted a non smoking. afterwards, the stay was going great, clean room, good size very comfy bed and the right size. out of 10 i give the hotel a 7.5 - 8. this because the room needed some maintenance, the sink never worked since it was clogged because the stopper was stuck. then, in the morning the shower ceiling started leaking when the top room was taking showers. .......................... if all of that wouldnt happened, then the stay would it been fine, except for the traffic noise in the morning.

Bed was extremely comfortable. Cleaning/room make-up staff non-existent. No clean towels. At 3:30, after returning to my room and finding it still unmade, I stopped at the front desk and inquired. Was told maid service was behind but it would be made-up within the 1/2 hr. I told them that I needed to shower in an hour for dinner reservations and please have it done by then. They said certainly, after 1 1/2 hrs. it was still undone! Apparently, there were many in the hotel in a similar situation. I asked at least for fresh towels and were told they were out. The hotel phone lines also seemed to be scrambled as there were people talking every time I picked it up. The continental breakfast was adequate, however I had to walk to the front desk and ask for more milk, as the container remained empty for 15 min. while I was there. I needed it for cereal.

I booked this reservation and paid for the room via online travel website. Upon check-in I gave them a credit card for incedentals. Upon check out the next morning (just slept there) I double checked and there was zero balance. A couple of days later I get a charge to my card from them. When I called to ask why and get it reversed they said that it was because I didn't pay for my room (there was a $20 discrepancy between the online travel website charge and the BW charge). They said that they would check with online travel website . I asked to speak with a manager and they said that there wasn't one on staff. A couple of hours later the manager called and said they were waiting for a response from online travel website and would credit my account. 5 days later still no credit and no call. I called Best Western again to follow up. The manager said that there was nothing that they could do and that I needed to fix it on my own. When I threatened to report a fraudulant charge on my credit card she quickly changed her tone and within 10 minutes they said that they worked it out and would credit my account. It has taken 11 days for them to resolve this. This happened today so here's hoping that the credit goes through and I won't have to call back again.

Falling spackling from ceiling falling on carpet. airconditioning parts on closet shelf, Carpet worn and coming apart at doorways, bathroom floor dirty. Bedding smells like body odor. The view, and the great service from the girls at the front desk are the only good thing about this hotel. Should be a 45.00 a night hotel.

Everyone we spoke with were very friendly and helpful in regard to directions and dinner suggestions.

Great location if you want to stay near the Harbor. Hotel room wasn't completely ready at check in. The hotel had a great location if you wanted to be somewhat near Downtown and the Gaslamp quarter. It was about an 18 dollar cab ride to Petco Park. The staff at times seemed less than friendly. Our room was not ready when we checked in, housekeeping came by to finish making the bed, and give us towels.

Do not be fooled by the lobby. I repeat, do not be fooled by the lobby. You walk in to a wonderful and modern looking lobby/front desk. The staff was friendly, but not very clear on anything. We were given a room on the 4th floor with a lovely view on a parking lot and the windows of the hotel across it. Let's start with stepping off of the elevator. There were no tiles anywhere in the ceiling. Exposed wires and pipes were all above us. Our door had NO inside lock and the room smelled moldy, yet had new furniture in it. Then there was the water. I actually think at one point the water that came shooting out of the shower was very cold . Give or take a few. Would I stay here again? No. Did I feel safe here? No. Would I let my friends/family stay here? No.

when we booked this hotel, the info that they were undergoing costruction was not up on the web site. we arrived at this dump from the airport with our suitcases and saw the entire hotel covered with tarps!!! we called the travel agency and they offered to cancel our reservation for us without a penalty. i requested them to book me another room in the area, they would not do that for me. we decided to check in because we didn't feel like going anywhere else. when we went up to our room, there was a man working in there putting up molding, the balcaony was locked off and there was scaffolding right outside the window. the pool was unusable due to the construction and there was garbage all over the grounds. we then decided to check out and go next door to another hotel and found out there was a convention in town and there were no rooms available in that area.

We enjoyed our one night at Best Western Yacht Harbor in San Diego. Each person we met on the staff was pleasant and helpful. It is close and convenient to the airport, Old Town, and the Embarcadero, as well as an easy drive to Mission Bay and Point Loma. It was a quiet, comfortable room, and met our needs nicely.

The location wasOK. The staff was very unfriendly except for one staff member at the desk. The hotel was very clean, but you felt like you were in a hospital instead of a hotel. Lights in our room did not work, it took at least 10 times to get in our room with the cards, need to go back to the old way, keys.

We had a harbor view, but were unable to enjoy it due to scaffolding, etc. Also, were unable to get out on the balcony. The make shift lobby was a desk in the back hallway leading off the parking garage. Our room was clean and the continental breakfast the next morning was good.

Hotel is in the process of being rennovated. Heating/air conditioning system is cental system, but is extremely noisy even when turned off in the room. Continental breakfast is lacking. Location is close to harbor and airport.

We picked the Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel because it was close to the airport. When we arrived, the gentlemen who checked us in was warm and gracious. In fact, throughout our stay, the employees we met were eager to help out. The room itself seemed adequate for our needs until we took our shoes off and discovered the soggy carpet. Moreover, the toilet kept running. The warm and gracious clerk did find us another room--dryer, larger, and with a better view. We then went downstairs to use the business office to get boarding passes. The lack of venilation and air conditioning rendered the room sauna-like. The printer needed a new toner. Finally, while the hotel is close to the airport, it is distant from other things one might want to visit in San Diego. They did provide a shuttle to the airport but did not pick us up at the airport.

The beds were rock hard, the continental breakfast was the bare minimum and very inconsistent in quality, most vending machines did not work, and there is no bar or restaurant on site. Pool rules state no food or beverages poolside - not relaxing or welcoming. The best thing was the location, but we do not recommend it!

Our flight arrived at 8:30 in the morning and we had our car by 9:00. We decided to find out where our hotel was and go from there. Much to our surprise, the Best Western Yacht Harbor Inn staff were able to check us into a room at 9:30 in the morning. This was in part to the 6th floor being renovated and so we got a room that was still not being worked on yet. We had a beautiful view of the harbor and found the location convienient to gas and shopping in one direction, and not too far from baseball stadium, and downtown attractions that we went to see. The workout room had some nice equiptment. We didn't work out but did check email, which was in the same room as the workout room. The breakfast was typical but nothing too special. Overall we had a very nice weekend and would stay at this Best Western again. Though the remodel of the lobby was not complete but looks like it will be nice.

The location was very near the airport so made it extremely simple to head out the next morning. Hotel is going through renovations which made it seem unkept, but I'm sure will be very nice when completed. I would recommend it for overnight stay when catching a plane.
