Room was nice, pity about the foodNice large room with Sky Sport which was nice. Don't bother with the restaurant or room service however. The Breakfast was average.

Lovely Acock's Green!I never though about staying in Acock's green as a holiday, but a frined was holding their reception here and so we booked in. It is a little gem.

Two day stay in April 2009Probably the best hotel breakfast I have had in a very long time.Convenient to NEC although traffic in morning could be heavy.Very friendly and if we had a problem it was dealt with very quickly and efficiently.

variable qualitythe hotel has had a vast refurbishment but is obviously not yet finished. we were put in an annex and while the actual room had been re-done the building, halls etc were very tatty and smelly. It was very disappointing vs the images etc they provide on the site. the main hotel etc is fine so make sure you arent in the annex. It was convenient for the NEC but the area isn't at all pleasant.

the hotel is too far away from Birmingham NEC and we were told it wwas only 10 minute drive but it was in fact 25 minutes and £12 in a taxi each way.

Very good service from the staff, Hotel was nice looking and good value for money, only let down would be the Breakfast as it wasnt amazing but then its a budget hotel, good enough for a flying visit.

Nice hotel with good parking and friendly staff, outside my bedroom was the smoking/bar area and this kept me up till about 12:30 so avoid room 24 if you stay. Other than that it was a very nice hotel with a good restaurant and friendly staff

Great Hotel Reception Staff really welcoming as were staff in the bar. Unfortunately for me hotel was let down by quality of food served will stay again but would eat out.

Booked 2 x single but given 1 double, complained and got suite instead which was fine.Used as location for Edgbaston cricket - bus from outside was convenient if lengthy.Restaurant beakfast service average

This is the second time I have stayed there but on this occasion the food was badly cooked and generally very poor. I ordered the braised liver which was under-cooked, looked raw in places and as far as I was concerned inedible. The meat on the carvery stand looked dry as if it had been there all day and the vegetables were not hot. The breakfast was acceptable.

The only thing wrong with the room was that the shower screen is too short. There was a notice telling you to make sure it was in place before using the shower, so I did that very carefully, but when I'd finished there was water all over the bathroom floor.

Very out of date facilities and garish decor - currently being refurbished. Very poor value for money.
