This is a nice place on the water with close proximity to everything.

Free continental breakfast. Mattresses, pillows and sheets all were of good quality.

The rooms were great. We traveled with children and they could provide us with ajoining rooms which was wonderful. The rooms were clean and the desk staff was helpful. The children loved the pool and the playground that was next door.

Despite daily complaints, we never had hot water for our shower. Apparently, the maintenance man could not fix the problem. The last morning we were there was Easter Sunday morning, and we wanted a proper shower before we dressed up for church. We had to go use the shower in the room across the hall. Why didn't they tell us there was a room with working hot water available, and move us there? We were showering at my in-laws' house 4 miles away the rest of the week! we have asked for a refund and were told that has to come from Orbitz. We are waiting to see if we get our money back for this very disappointing experience.

Front desk was very helpful with my questions. Getting to it was hard due to construction.

It has been posted before of the noise. Yes on Friday and Saturday they have a live band near the pool. But it was great to hear it from the patio of our room. If you didn't want to hear it you just close your patio door and you couldn't hear a thing. It was great all the way around. The rooms very clean and nice with microwave and refrigerator in the room. They were all very pleasant. The continental breakfast was great. They were more like a breakfast buffet. The restaurant with nice indoor romantic setting or the outside to give you a tropical setting were great. The food was unbelievable, let alone the staff was the best service people I have had in a long time. The prices were great for what you get. That restaurant also had room service to the rooms. They give you so much to eat and oh so tasty and you are able to take what you don't eat back to your room with the set up of the microwave and refrigerator. The pool was so clean. They have a pool company come in each morning and clean and test everything so nicely. The restaurant over looks the Peace River and has long piers that go out there where you can sit or rent boats or anything. The name peace river is exactly what it gives you there over looking it all. (PEACE) Its near Fishermen's Village which was a very interesting little villiage with places to eat and try alligator and all. There are boat trips etc to rent and see the sites in Port Charlotte Harbor. If my son gets a leave again to go home to see his wife we will stay there again with no problem.

Fantastic harbor view, if you get that side. Shower was terrible, water constantly changed from hot to cold, no exhaust fan. Rooms were dark and dated, the bathrooms had no exhaust, moisture from showers and smells never left. City view is awful, harbor view, if you get it, is great. Breakfast was OK. The hallways were dark and smelled. Wireless internet was good and free.

This was not a luxury hotel but an excellent value for the location and price. We were particularly pleased that the hotel is adjacent to a very nice bay-side park with paved walking paths. It was a pleasure to walk out of our room and along the paths. If you don't mind walking about a quarter of a mile there is a fishing pier which has been converted into a lot of nice shops and restaurants. We saw a variety of birds and waterfowl and occasional dolphin in the bay. There was a variety of boats available for rental adjacent to the hotel including kayaks, motor boats of several sizes, and pontoon boats. The rental rates are high but it would be a lot of fun to rent one, I think. The free continental breakfast was better than average. NOTE: there is no sandy beach or place to swim except for the hotel pool.

Close to several good golf courses. Just a short walk to some good restaurants. Good breakfast that is more than a continental. Good value.

I was vacationing at this hotel.....I was looking for a nice pleasant place to relax and I found it.....The hotel is beautiful and the staff is exceptional. Anyhting I needed they were very accomadating. The restaraunt on site is delicous with very reasonable prices. Overall it was a very great stay and I would definetly stay there again when I am back in Punta Gorda.

I liked the hotel when we got there. we arrived early and was able to get in room by 9am. Very nice indeed.. Everything went well but did not have hot water when we took our showers. Spoke with staff and problem was fixed by next morning and water was warmer.

The location was great. It was right next to the City Park and Historic District. Also located directly on the water. Beautiful sunsets! The workout room was limited on equipment and there was no hot tub in the pool area. We had an excellent time. We happened to be there on Halloween and were able to walk over the big bridge to play mini-golf and then come back to a community celebration in the historic district where all the huge beautiful homes were decorated and entire families were out dressed up and having a great time. They had blocked off the streets in a 4 or 5 block area and we felt very welcome as we walked around and took pictures. The park next door located on the water had three different local bands playing and this was very enjoyable as we were able to take a walk, listen to music and felt very safe. Very romantic area. The Hotel was nice and the employees were friendly but pretty much left you alone unless you needed something which was a good thing. It was myself and my husband and we wanted to have that private time and not have interruptions. The view from the hotel was awesome and again, the location was great. Having the restaurant and Tiki bar connected was a plus. The food was reasonable and very good.

I have nothing negative, only positive comments regarding this hotel and the accommodations. Everything needed was there and the view was what made our stay here most worthwhile. The patio leading out to the view of the water was the best part of staying at the Waterfront hotel.

Location. The room did smell a little musty or stale. Our over all stay was very nice. We do plan to stay again in the future but would like to have a choice of having a waterfront room.

"first off if you left your dentures at this place in the past couple months i might have them! the desk staff were not very personable, we had no towels in our room and when they gave us some they were varying shades of white and yellow, the hem of the shower curtain was ripped and hanging off and the beds were awful. i left my clear plastic nightguard behind and was hung up on when i called to see if they found it and sent an email that was never replied to but yesterday June 6/07 a package came in the mail from them but it contained someones partials!!!"

no internet connection from my room. I had to sit in the hall outside my roolm in my jammies! Internet connection is very ikmportant to me because my job requires working after usual business hours to prepare for next day training.

Great location on water, easy in and out. Non-water views are poor. Decent hotel for short-stays. Room service and restaurant on site for convenience. Easy access to highway. Walk to downtown.
