Room accommodations, sliding glass door to pool area. Rooms werenot very sound proof, pool wasdirty andno free breakfast. The room was decorated nice, beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. Walking distance to IHOP. However a tile fell out of the ceiling and broke on the bathroom floor, and water spilled all over the bathroom floor. Staff was attentive to this situation and cleaned it up quickly. However it did delay checkout. Refrigerator in room was broken. Would've liked free breakfast-always a plus for travelers. Pool needed to be cleaned-not impressed with pool at all. The noise from outside the room was very loud-rooms not very soundproof. Overall it was adequate but a bit pricey.

My family has mixed opinions on this hotel. The view from the West Tower (upper floors) was great especially at night. The pool area was very nice and clean. Anyone traveling to Ft. Meyers needs to eat at Pinchers or the near by Rib Shack - both of these place had excellent food. The customer service at this hotel needs improving. The check in was slow and the employees could use some training on customer service. The rooms do not have wireless internet and we could not get the internet to work in our room using the cable provided by the hotel. To use the internet, we needed to set in the hotel lobby. The room was good size but the bathroom was old and needs to be update. The air conditioning unit is above the bathroom ceiling and one day the unit started leaking water all over the place. The hotel staff told us that happens if we don't keep the balcony door shut. The hotel is located well if traveling to North Ft Meyers area and is a good place to stay for a couple of nights. If you stay too long, the quality of the service and condition of the rooms start to get to you. Based on some of the other hotels we looked at, we are pleased we choose this one but it could be better for the price.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. We had a beautiful view of the river, and were right on the other side of the river from the Downtown area. We were able to have a very nice dinner and enjoy a great night out, and then have a very quick drive back to the hotel. My only complaint would be that the housekeeping staff was very loud in the morning as they cleaned the adjacent rooms.

Nice place to stay. The room was HUGE, clean and nicely furnished. The lady at the desk was very nice and even gave us a free upgrade to a water view room even though we paid for a non-view room. I would stay there again.

We booked for 7 nights 3 months before our trip. After reading a previous review, I called in advance and asked for a room above the 3rd floor. The previous review suggested that otherwise you might find yourself looking out at the restaurant. We got a 4th floor room in the west building. They'd just replaced all their old standard beds with 2 new queen-sized beds. (I don't know if they've done that in the east building.) I thought we were in trouble on the first night (Thursday) because when we got there at 9:00 p.m. there was live music playing loudly in the restaurant below. But I called down, and they said it should end shortly, and it did. That was the only night that the restaurant was scheduled for live music except for Sunday from 3-6. Room and bathroom were large. Great air conditioning. We were on the 4th floor and overlooked the swimming pool and river (which is really more like a huge bay.) Very pretty view, and balcony makes it possible to enjoy it. It is an easy drive to Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We were so glad we spent an afternoon at the Edison Ford Summer Retreat/Museum. We also toured the coastline visiting many shelling beaches. By the way...the restaurant below the hotel (Pincher's) has the best fried shrimp and oysters we've ever eaten, and we've eaten plenty!

Cleanliness. I am a smoker, liked the fact that rooms were non-smoking, but the balcony was smoking> I found the hotel easy to get to, the fact that there was a restaurant, and the I-Hop was next door. It was pleasant, and the mattress' were great.

I liked the location of the hotel. The Air Conditioning unit was not working properly is was stuffy (very). Overall I enjoyed my stay. There were plenty of restaurants around and the hotel was clean and organized. A little expensive though.

this property is extremely under-rated. the rooms are clean and well appointed. the restaurant is a bit expensive, but good food. the hotel must have been renovated recently as the interior, as well as the exterior are both in like new condition. hotel staff are friendly and very cooperative. for those of you who are extremely fussy, go spend * for a room on the beach, but for thoses of you who are looking for a great location with good people and nice amenities for less than half the price...this is the place for you.

Very Clean and roomy. Fire alarm set off by kids at 3 a.m. Clean and roomy my stay was for several days and with the exception of the fire alarm set off by children at 3am was uneventful. The Restaurant was great for Seafood.

The rooms are large and have been remodeled in the last 5 years, but they are dingy. The carpets looked okay, but after 5 minutes, my feet were BLACK. A deep cleaning would go a long way to improving the hotel.

The location on the river was very nice. The location was excellent and the fact that there was a good restaurant on-site was both a blessing and a curse. The late night revelers were loud. We found the front desk staff to be rude and unknowledgeable. Their pet policy was unclear. Dogs less than 25 lbs were accepted, but there was a huge boxer in the pool area when we arrived. We found a cockroach on our bed stand.

Check in went smooth. Receptionist Ok, not overly friendly, but not rude. Check-in room is seperate from hotel tower, so a little inconvient when you have to go to offfice for something. The room was big. Had a TV, microwave & fridge hid behind a bamboo armoir. Two large closets behind louvered french doors. Bathroom was huge. The best part was the view of the water from the balcony. Be sure to get on the third floor or highter for the best view or you might get stuck behind a resteraunt and all you'll see is walls. The worst thing was the noise. There was a Crab Shack resteraunt underneath & in front of our balcony & even with the door shoot, I could hear voices from the partying. Also it was spring break and college boys were throwing water ballons from the balconies. Also when you were on the balcony the traffic noise was always with you but not inside. Best thing was the view. Worst thing was the noise.

"nice big rooms, clean enough, but horrible smell from Pincher's Crabshack in the middle of the premises. Greasy spoon in your nose!"
