The location was perfect! Close to everything! Room was way small and decor was bad. Overall, a decent place to stay, especially because of the location. It was close to everything-a couple of blocks away from Bourbon and same street as Decatur. The staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Valet was expensive, but not unexpected for an event weekend. The room itself was less than stellar. The walls looked distressed, as if there was something oozing down them.

We really enjoyed staying in New Orleans. The location of this hotel was perfect for us. We never had to get in the car, we walked everywhere we wanted to go. The front desk employees were very nice and very helpful. Gave us suggestions on what to do and how to catch the trolley to the zoo. I did not like not having a window in our room. Felt like a cave. We loved the cafe style dining area for the free continental breakfast. The coffee was wonderful. Unfortunately, I left a new blouse and cami haning in the amoire. I called the housekeeping department the next morning after checking out. They disconnected me several times and finally told me that they did not find it. I know without a shadow of a doubt I left the blouse and cami hanging in the room. The front desk employees tried to help, however I don't think I will see my blouse or cami again.

It was convienent to the area we needed. In the room, there was a wood pole, that looked like it had been eaten by termites. It was awful looking.

I stayed here because I was attending a conference at the Marriott, just a block away. I found the room clean and comfortable, the staff pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast well above average. I was disappointed when the Katrina tour the desk clerk booked for me with a taxi driver friend never happened because the guy never showed up (there's a lesson to be learned there). The only other concerns I would mention is that I saw no interest in energy conservation or recycling, but that appeared to be a city-wide phenomenon and there was no fitness center, nor any arrangement with a nearby hotel or gym to work out.

I loved the look of this hotel, the antique style. Our room did not have a window. I loved this hotel, it was comfortable and stylish. My only objection was we did not have a window to the outside in our room so it was weird but great for sleeping in! I would definitely return!

We enjoyed the location of the St. Christopher hotel as it is a short walk to downtown, the French Quarter and Casino. The staff were OK, but parking is somewhat incovenient. We would return to this nice, quiet, clean hotel.

It was in a great location. Smallest room I have ever seen. The room you see on the web is not at all what I got. I was about the size of my walk in cloth set and I am not rich. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good but that is all I can say nice.

I am fascinated with historic buildings so the St Christopher fit the bill by leaving some of the historic brick walls in the rooms....really neat!! The location is about as close as you can get to Harrah's, a few blocks from Bourbon St, Royal St, the River Walk, Jackson Square, Shops at Canal Street.....all our favorite spots. Rooms were clean, but remember, it's an old bldg, the bricks have a sealant that peels.... They serve a pretty good breakfast each morning, and coffee & tea all day. Two draw backs (not huge ones, but bear mentioning: 1) Parking is NOT included in the hotel rate. If you don't get a stellar deal (and we did), it can be as expensive as any other hotel with parking and, 2) Little ants in the bathroom (easily fixed with a shoe), a tiny, micro-spider in the bed (easily mashed with a book), but the big a** cockroach in my floor the next morning, BIG DEAL!! I ran out into the lobby and got a room attendant who said to call the front desk and they would send someone up to kill it, by the time I got back to my room....my son woke up and mashed it. In all fairness, my mother, aunt and uncle stayed there for 5 nights and never had a single bug in their room, so maybe we were just ultra sweet?! The front desk clerk was as accommodating as you could wish for, a real professional.

Big open windows. Front staff was not friendly, courteous, no friendly.

staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was facing the sun at sunrise and it made the room very hot if you closed the drapes it total blocked out the sun and made the room dark. There was nothin in between. The bed was very soft. I stayed there for two days and I think that for the proce it was worth it. If I was staying longer I would have asked to have the room changed to the other side of the building.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western St Christopher in New Orlenas for a mini honeymoon. We came in to see the Carolina Panthers play the Saints. Go Panthers!! The location was great and the hotel staff were very friendly. THe front desk helped us out with trying to find specific places that we were looking for and also recomending other places too. The bed in our room was sooo comfortable, I would have loved to have packed it in my car and taken it home. I can't wait till next years game so that we can book with them again.

Nothing at all. Terrible smell, small room, mildew smell in room. For a Best Western branch I expected much more from this hotel. It smelled bad from the time I walked into it. The ride in the elevator had the same dank smell to it and the room itself smelled of mildew.

Overall this was a great place to stay. My only complaint was that the air conditioning made a horrific noise each time it came on and also when it turned off. Had I not been so tired each night (from experiencing New Orleans during the day), this would have kept me from sleeping. The hotel was full during my stay, so there wasn't much chance of me getting another room. Overall, a good value and a terrific location. Just do something about the central air system. I'll bring ear plugs next time.

Thought they had a good continental breakfast. First room had a noisy AC, and we had to request shampoo & soap plus TV & phone buttons didn't work. The room was nice & clean and most staff was helpful and friendly. However, TV buttons and special phone buttons (setting alarm, etc) didn't work. Had to request shampoo and soap and it would have been nice to have a 2nd trash can in the bathroom.

This hotel was a great deal. I had been watching hotel prices on a online travel website and this is one that was above 3 stars that I had my eye on closely. I kept watching and kept watching but the price never went down and my room options started to evaporate. Therefore, I tried some other site. I went to another online travel website and they had the room listed at $75 while it was listed on other sites at $99+. Yay for My new online travel website!! It has now become my preffered travel booking site!! Anyway about the hotel, it was a cheap 3 start hotel, conveniently located to the French Quarter (right across the street), and served a nice free breaskfast. The room was a little small, but we really didn't spend that much time in the room. Other than that, our stay was great. I would reccommend this hotel to friends.

Very reasonable price and good continental breakfast. Not luxury hotel like other hotels around and no view. It is off Canal Street with other tall buildings nearby that you cant get much view from the room. Reasonable price for a 3 star hotel. Great free breakfast!

Rooms are extremely small and not what I would call clean or comfortable. We had an ant problem which took 2 days to get resoved which was to move to another room, not any better than the last. Staff overall was rude and uninterested. We had a very difficult time getting towels and wash clothes, they said they were in the laundry....everytime we asked! We had to ask for toilet paper and soap. they do not stock on a daily basis. I would not stay at this Hotel again. I would rather pay a few extra dollars for a Hotel with at least a staff willing to make your stay comfortable.

Rooms were recently remodeled. Need more shelves in the bathroom for my toiletries. Nice little hotel off Canal Street. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast in the morning and was recently remodeled. Great price for the location.

I stayed here during the Thanksgiving holidays which directly coincided with the Bayou Classic weekend. The hotel is nice even after Hurricane Katrina and you don't notice any damage. The rooms are very small but very well maintained and clean. Bathroom was nice and big, but toilet ran constantly and even after notifying the staff, it still was not fixed during my stay. I guess since the hotel was packed I could not get the satisfactory service that I know Best Western offers. I had to wait an hour for towels because they said that all the towels were getting washed. Ridiculous, I know... But all in all, the stay was okay and is definitely a bargain for the location, you are a short walking distance from all the local sights and shops. The hotel offers valet parking, but for $28 per day, but there is a public parking spot directly behind the hotel, less than 200 feet which offers parking for $10 per day, the only drawback is that everytime you move your car, you are charged $10, but if you are not driving then you are okay. On a scale, I give the hotel a 8. Have fun!!!
