Hotel is nice, clean and inexpensive. Nice clean pool; however, it is outside and was on the cool side. Jacuzzi was warm but small. Staff were not very friendly or attentive. Difficult to get their attention. Location is convenient and very close to Explora! and Museum of Natural History and Science. Still overall, it was a pretty good experience just know you get what you pay for.

Quiet, clean, and provided exactly what I needed - a good night rest. Elevators were a bit small. It was difficult to maneuver the luggage cart to upper floors. But other than that, the hotel is fine.

The staff at the Rio Grande Best Western went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable and satisfying. They truly went above and beyond. I would definitely stay here again - the rooms are nicely decorated and the hotel is kept very clean. I did not have time to use the pool/jacuzzi, but it looked nice from the outside! A++

This place was easy to find and there was a couple gas stations near by. There wasn't alot of restaurant options close by though. After a LONG drive I didn't want to drive around looking for someplace to eat and the hotel restaurant didn't have a great menu selection.

The hotel was in a decent location, though you still had to call a taxi to get anywhere. The rooms were sized adequately and the service was very decent. My only complaint was with other guests that make a lot of noise at 8am and when they vacuum they hit everyone's door a couple times. This can be annoying if you work (or vacation) later in the day.

Tired property. The elevator linoleum is peeling, the room decor was outdated with no desk lighting and ponderous furniture.

Hotel OK but we thought it unhelpful staff failed to advise us of our entitlement to complimentary breakfast when we checked in; or that we had to ask for breakfast tokens the morning we wanted breakfast. Breakfast was poor; lacking variety and had been well picked over

Very good Will come back

Food prepration was extremly slow, up to 45 minutes to get your order. WWithout exception, the food served was barely lukewarm. The continental breakfast had the fewest items I had ever seen on this type of breakfast, and was allowed to run out of coffee.

Great location-walked 10 min to Old Town. Took free shuttle to lovely Denver Zoo. Took free shuttle to Rail Runner[only $8.00 round trip] to go to Santa Fe for the day and returned to tour Downtown. Didn't have to rent a car the 3 days we stayed. Restaurant was good too. Clean and friendly. Nearest Casino also had free shuttle service. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

very average way far from good ,the night before i took the time to go to the reception to ask for a late check out for the following day,to avoid the deactivation of the eletronic door key of my room. the night attendant put my request into the computer. but the following day i got lock out of all entrances of the hotel because my eletronic key was not working. i payed all my expenses in advance with orbitz. i had my credit card open for accidentals and still the "jail treatment occur" "lights out at the day of departure" this policy should not be used at any time.i was lock out and had to walk with all the volumes that i had on my hand to the "main entrance" the only door not locked. i explain my complaint at the front desk at no avail...

A little over-priced, but an excellent location. A short walk to Old Town. Wonderful bar staff.

Night Desk Clerk recommended a room on the 4th floor with a view of the mountains - a good suggestion. Staff were always friendly and helpful. I chose this motel mostly because of its location: less than a 15 minute walk to nearby Old Town. I ate there in various restaurants about 4 or 5 times. Overall, the food quality was good and the prices reasonable. It's a prime tourist area and the main attractions are the arts and crafts shops and the restaurants. Nearby, there are 2 museums: The New Mexico Art & History Museum and the Dinosaur Museum, both of which I enjoyed visiting. If you intend to buy a motel/flight/rental car package, do yourself a favor and check and see it there are any conventions in town. I didn't rent a car as part of the package and had a hard time doing so afterward as there was a Gathering Of Indian Nations Convention the week I was there and no rental cars were available. Need a car? Rent one before flying in. Rooms were kept quite clean and neat; had drainage problem in bathtub after taking a shower. Management took care of it by the time I got back to motel late afternoon. Management offers 2 PC's to their guests but when I tried to use them, they were hopelessly full of "bugs" and "worms". Bring your laptop. I did not use either the outdoor pool or the indoor exercise room, nor did I eat in their restaurant. There's a Starbucks nearby and the restaurants of Old Town are within walking distance. If you rent a car, you can drive the 2 to 3 miles on Central Avenue (old route 66) and dine downtown. There are also 2 good art galleries to see contemporary art. Even though I checked out at 12 Noon which ended our mutual obligations, the motel was very considerate in allowing me to use their free airport shuttle service at 5 pm. I appreciated that gesture. If I needed to stay at a motel again, I'd choose this one. Overall performance: B+ to A-.

Easy access to highway and had a laundry facility. Also had a restaurant for a quick bite to begin your day.

"This is a perfect hotel for families - close to Old Town and museums, zoo and aquarium. (The hotel will shuttle you to the areas mentioned) Outdoor pool contained in warm bubble, which the kids thought was wonderful. I didn't like the look of the water, so I didn't go in the pool. Clean rooms, parking lot locked in evenings, accommodating staff."
