We chose this Hotel because of the waterpark and because we wanted to be in Rapid city, which is central to the Badlands, Mt Rushmore and all sorts of other attractions. The Hotel met all of those needs very well. The kids especially enjoyed the very large pool, even more so than the water park, which would have been better for younger kids, although the water slides are perfect for older kids/teens. The room itself was clean but Saturday night there were many kids staying there and it was quite loud, mid week it was much quieter. The beds are older and starting to break down. The Fitness room was a gem, very spacious, clean and excellent equipment with lots of choices. There was no fridge or microwave in the room, which was a problem, it would have really made the stay perfect. The room was great if it were for a weekend stay, but we spent 5 days there which the room did not have the right amenties to make that comfortable.

The building we stayed in as well as the room furnishings were older than I expected. The chairs in the room had worn out upholstery and the beds needed to be replaced. The children's pool area was wonderful, that was a highlight, but the room was nothing special. The hallways were not very clean and the person who checked us in at the front desk, while she did her job, was not very friendly or helpful. Next time I would try another hotel.

Large rooms Great Pool area for the kids. Bar and dinning in hotel. Not keen on pets that are allowed. Better clean up should be asserted. Great room, staff and very (all around) clean. Didn't like the dogs around us, only because the guests didn't clean up after them. We love dogs, but the owners are very lax in their responsibility.

Our room was clean and comfortable preteens and teens loved the pool and waterslide Would be nice if they offered a continental breakfast but they have a restaurant onsite and many fast food options nearby. Cell phone service in the area for T-mobile customers is very bad.

The Best Western Ramkota was a very well maintained facility that serves business and vacation travelers equally well. The aquatic center was used extensively. The conference centers were able to handle a wide range of meetings. The staff was eager to serve and dealt quickly with any concern. Meals at the restaurant were good enough to keep you inside the whole time.

My son had an awesome time at the waterpark! This place was excellent, my husband and son had an awesome time at the water park, way kid friendly. My daughter was sick, so she and I stayed in the room most of the time, but it was very comfortable, and it wasn't too bothersome being away from home while she was sick. This is an extremely kid friendly hotel, the staff was very helpful. Security was on duty all night, and was very helpful when my husband went looking for donuts at 2 a.m.

The hotel had all the amenities--dining, bar, pool and watermark. Rooms were clean and spacious. Close to many shops and restaurants. They did not have our reservation when we checked in. This was a real hassle. We were pleased with the hotel. They did not have our reservation when we tried to check in and we had forgotten our confirmation #. After nearly an 1 1/2 hours we tracked it down and they had neglected to enter our online booking in the system. This was a real hassle with a new born baby and two other small children. The hotel was overbooked but they were able to give us a room. I realize mistakes happen but they offered nothing to compensate such as free water park passes or anything. That was frustrating.
