we took several tours, walked the river front, shopped and ate wonderful food. rooms were a little small but we weren't in them much with all the fun stuff to do. people were very friendly and helpful on showing us how to get around. LOVED all the beautiful homes. Would go back again.

They provided very comfortable bedding and it was close to the river. No pool and it seemed more like a motel than a hotel.

The hotel was terrific, the staff especially Mary were friendly and very helpful. I would stay there anytime I'm back in Savannah

This hotel is in the middle of being remodeled. While the outside looks old and a little run down, the inside of our newly renovated room was very nice and clean. Tile bathroom, marble top sink, new bedding, etc. However, we received a phone call at 10:00 Saturday morning saying they had sprung a leak, and the water would be turned off at 10:45. We did not have running water again until 6:00 that night. While we understood things happen during renovation, it was the way it was handled by hotel staff. No offers were made to accomodate us. The girl at the front desk was really rude. We finally spoke to the manager, who offered us a non-renovated room that had water, just to get ready in. I walked into that room, and it smelled really badly of smoke. Also the bathroom was FILTHY, so we turned right around and went out. Also the parking is kind of a problem. Only one parking pass per room, but I wasn't sure why because they had 10 or 12 empty spaces out back. Overall, the room itself was good, location great, but service was awful.

My husband and I visited Savannah July 1-8, 2009. We stayed at the Best Western Promenade Hotel in the Historic District and are so glad we did. This hotel is on the farthest edge of the hotels on Bay, but lacks nothing to the others. If you are looking for a good time in Savannah, and do not wish to spend all your money in hotel costs, this is the place. The staff are very friendly and warm. Each of them go out of their way to assist you. We did have a $7 day parking charge, but they said this is the cheapest in the area. The hotel concierge, [...] is awesome! She goes out of her way to help you plan the vacation of your dreams there. Not only is she helpful, but is a true "southern belle". At this hotel you are walking distance to what's happening; the city walk the river walk, the homes, etc. Be sure to visit, Charleston if you have time, as it is only 2 hours away. We did request a back room to avoid the noise of the busy Bay St. and were accomodated without a problem. My only concern, was the housekeeping does not bring clean towels or facecloths daily, unless you request them to do so. Overall, we enjoyed Savannah.

Staff was friendly. No restaurant. Nice clean place for a reasonable price. The hotel is located very near River Street which is where you want to be.

Terrible experience. This was the first time I've ever booked w/ Travel agnet and it will be the last time. I canceled the room meeting the guidelines of the cancelation policy and 2 days later was charged for the room that I canceled - I have a trip cancelation confirm number and everything! Even the sales rep's name that i canceled with. Since the charge, i've talked to 6 poeple and spent over 3 hours to get this charge reversed.... for some reason they are not concerned with getting the credit back onto my credit card. I would recommend any other site like this, instead of Travel agnet ... this is terrible! So terrible I'm even reporting this to the BBB!

The location is tricky and I didn't like that we had to pay additional for parking. However we new that when we booked the hotel. We just thought it was odd that we would have to pay for parking. The staff was nice and very helpful. When we first saw the location I was a little concerned but our room was very nice, clean and quiet. We never heard anything other then the fan going at night. We never heard any other guests either and it was booked the weekend we were there. Staff was helpful when we aksed questions about Savannah. We will be back in a few years and will book at this hotel again for sure.

Good trip. Hotel in historic district & 3blocks from Riverway/paddleway river boats. Nr prof'l Conference hotel. Busy++ days, so ate out nearby twice w/one shop/icecream on Riverway. Desk/breakfast staff were great and went the extra mile several times-seemed happy at what they do. Only thing missing was little sign or diagram for how to turn on shower. Lovely nite walks. Six+hotels/restaurants w/in 5 minutes.

Comfortable bed, huge shower, great downtown location. Pretty noisy between rooms. Beautifully decorated room; great location in historic district; easy walk to great restaurants, historic sites. Very friendly staff. Share pool with hotel next door. Crowded parking.

We took bus tours of the Historic District. They were very helpful about inexpensive local dining restaurants but very good food. Very helpful in providing touring information . We had a problem in the room as the bathtub stopper broke and my mother cannot take showers. They got it fixed immediately . Very enjoyable stay.

The hotel was very nice and the staff very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. We were not made aware of an additional charge for Parking prior to check-in. All in all this hotel was very clean and comfortable, and tastefully decorated aiming for an upscale experience at a moderate price. It was centrally located and easily accessible to the highway. I would recommend it to others and would consider staying again.

Location, decor. Continental breakfast not fantastic. Fantastic location, able to walk all over Savannah from there. They let you keep your car there until 5 the day you check out. Easy to find. Nice interior.

The decor was up to date and that of an upscale resort. The staff was very helpful and the coffee was excellent! There was an additional parking fee of $7.00.

Everything and hotel went beyond my expectations. This was one of the best hotels I have stayed, be it because of the location, the staff and the comfortable rooms. I will stay here again.

Friendly caring staff. Nice concierge. Great room decor. Non-smoking signs were over the top. Safety was uncertain. The hotel was actually quite nice. Breakfast was slim - nothing warm unless you get the lady to go behind closed doors to heat your instant oatmeal in a microwave, weird. Overall, nice stay.

I liked the location of the hotel. It had access to a lot of places. I did not like the parking. I paid 7 dollars per day for parking and on the last night, I drove around for 30 minutes to look for parking.
