A warm welcome awaits you!We were very impressed with the very warm welcome we recieved from all the staff. The breakfast was cooked to order (not one of those off-putting buffet-style that you often associate with a hotel chain) and was served by a very polite and charming young lady. We asked if we may leave our case in the store whilst attending a conference which the staff did without hesitation - and it was a complimentary service! We are recommending this hotel to all our friends and look forward to a return visit!

A good base in the city centre for a weekend break. Close to Picadilly, the Arndale Centre, Canal Street and China town. Restaurant food was to a good standard and waiter was happy to serve us even though we arrived at closing time. I was happy paying Â£59 a night but certainly wouldn't have been if i was paying Â£138 as advertised in the hotel reception.

Overnight Theatre StayWe found the Staff very friendly and Polite. We had a large Twin Room overlooking the main crossroads therefore very noisy at night with sirens going until the early hours. A fault with City Centre Hotels. Decoration was rather tired. Bathroom was adequate with the exception that when using the shower the water was scalding hot and temperature could not be regulated so had to resort to a bath, reported this to Reception. Cracked tiles,taps etc should have been cleaner.Towels just ok, beds were comfortable. Glad I was booked for 1 night only. Special Offer - no bargain due to condition, when you get a special offer one expects standards to be same as if normal price paid.Seating in the dining room was all stained which made you feel you didn't want to sit down. Carpets on stairs were threadbare on the edges leading from 1st to 2nd floor. !st visit at a BEST WESTERN HOTEL so was not impressed.

Not very Nice!The first thing I noticed was that the toilet had not been cleaned very well and the water was brown! After flushing there was still deposits of human excrement on the side of the bowl. There was no toilet brush in the bathroom. The room was basic and rather shabby and dilapidated. Asked for replenishment of teabags and milk - didnt happen.Room was completely airless and windows difficult to open. No airconditioning so rathe rlike staying in a hothouse.Would not stay here again

Fab room, fab staff, fab breakfast!I booked four rooms for 8 girls who were going on a hen night. The rooms were excellent and the reception staff were able to arrange it so all the rooms were next to each other on the same floor.I had made a mistake with my credit card, but the hotel didn't give me any hassle or deny the booking, and were fine to take a different one when I arrived.The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had - and the chef would specially fry an egg or warm up a croissant if you wanted.Thouroughly reccomend as a Manchester stopover!

Overnight stay Staff very helpful. Room clean and spacious although a bit dated, beds very comfy. It was a very warm night so even though they did supply us with a fan still needed to leave the windows open, quite noisy. Only paid Â£65 B & B for twin room (very good breakfast) so was value for money. Would stay again in cooler weather to be able to close windows as the noise was the only disappointment.

Great value for money and would stayin this hotel again We had a triple room with a large bathroom , This hotel was within walking distance to the shops and bars, The staff were all very helpful and friendlyI cannot comment on the food as we didnt stay for breakfast I would definately book into this hotel again as I thought it was reasonably priced too

accomodationHi, When we checked in we were told our room would be ready. When we went up to the room it was not ready and had not been cleaned snce the previous guest had departed. The previous guset had also left a message saying that the room was not very clean and they had been disappointed. I complained to the receptionist who was very helpful. We were given a free drink and cake until our room was ready half an hour later. The room was very stuffy and noisy at night as it was on a main road.

Basic HotelFor the price we paid we would have expected a little more for our money, our shower constantly dripped, the TV didn't work - but the room was clean, it was facing the main street though and was noisy throughout the night.

Girls night outThe hotel was convenient to both the station & central amenities, just a 10min walk! The staff were extremely helpful & the accomodation was excellent as there were 6 of us we only needed to book 2 rooms as they accomodated 3 per room, excellent value . My only concern would be the area which was very noisy into the early hrs & did not have a good selection of quality bars for entertainment within easy walking distance.

The rooms were very comfy and spacious, it was a bit noisy but that was because it was hot and we had to open the windows and the hotel is in the city centre (no a/c). It definitely is in need of refurbishment but despite this was very clean. The breakfast was a bit mediocre, we were first in breakfast and some of the food looked as if it had been sitting a while.

Value for money, a pleasant surpriseThis is a good quality, clean & bright hotel right in the centre of Manchester. It was perfect for our overnight stay after watching a show, and I was pleasantly surprised at the value for money.

Would stay again.The staff were lovely and directed me when I was lost in Manchester! The location is great if you are wanting to be in the centre of everything.. shopping by day and food/drink in the evening. We had a great time. The room itself was a tad shabby.. but not to be complained about really. It was very basic, but clean and tidy. Breakfast in the morning in served from 7 - 11, we didn't arrive down till 10.30am and there was plenty for us to help cure our hangovers. We did however get a parking ticket - so do enquire about parking first!! We paid £65 for the night. I would pay this and stay again.

Customer ServiceUnbelievable customer sevice after a booking error. Booked a room for 3 people and on check in was told it was only booked for one. They than sorted a room for 3 people for the same price i paid and all the extras. While sorting it a free drink and meal were provided.

Concert Weekend TripGood location and in easy walking distance of many of the city centre facilities. Staff were very helpful and polite even though it was very busy due to the Oasis concert . Definitely on the list for a return trip. Would benefit from a proper Bar , although the lack of one didn't stop us having a relaxing beer after a late return.
