We stayed at the hotel for a friends wedding and were very impressed with the whole experience. The housekeeping staff were paricularly helpful as I had left an item of clothing in the room and they returned it to me by post.

Moor Hall - April 2009Very good quaility hotel in beautiful surroundings. Staff very polite and helpful. I only ate in the carvery restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner) where there was a reasonable selection of good quality, fresh food at reasonable value for money. Hotel room was comfortable, well maintained and clean. Bed was comfortable. I didn't have chance to use the leisure facilities or adjacent golf course.

Hotel was lovely. Was given a free upgrade - which was definitely a bonus. Staff were excellent - all very friendly and professional. Only ate breakfast - which was quite good - but can not comment on restaurant. Perfect location just off the motorway - so great for business travellers like myself. Would definitely stay there again

I had booked two rooms which seemed to have a difference in standard. When I mentioned this to the reception they immediately changed one of the rooms. I was impressed with their friendly efficiency. Really nice room, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was closed and the country kitchen was booked but the staff directed us into town where there were plenty of other eating options. Breakfast was OK but had probably been sitting there too long when we arrived after 9am. All in all we enjoyed the stay particularly the pool and would definately stay again when we need to visit the NEC.

We were disappointed from the entrance of the drive way. We expected a country manor house surrounded by fields and it was in the middle of a housing estate. The grounds were beautiful and the conservatory area very nice. The room we booked was classed as superior. We were not impressed - the decor was tired and in need of updating, the toilet did not flush properly, the dressing gowns were not white fluffy ones they were off white and had been washed and dried thousands of times and the bathroom was very basic indeed. We would not go again.

We only stayed one night but will definitely return. Friendly helpful staff, swimming pool/spa really good, food good - all good. We walked from train station as no taxis. Reception told us taxis only at station if pre-booked and they could have done this for us. Next time we'll know.

Great hotel. Would defiantly stay here again, however the rooms are a little dated and need updating with brighter and modern furniture and the hotel isn’t very well sign posted.

I was very grateful to this hotel as i had made a surprise booking as my boyfriend had just returned from Iraq for 6 weeks. The room was lovely but as an extra surprise i asked if i could upgrade again if possible, which they did for me . I cannot fault the hotel in any way and i would definately go angain. It made the short time i have with my boyfriend who has to go back and fight again in 4 weeks very special. Thank you!!!

We found it very annoying that we were told at 10am that we could only use the spa until checkout which was 11am. The room was not great, very small and pokey. The restaurant was a carvery/buffet and there wasn't a great deal of choice. the staff were pleasant but I wouldn't stay here angain - I could find somewhere a lot better for the same price.

The buffet was very good and the spa, wonderfull. Thanks

The Oak room restaurant was fully booked all week, advise customers to pre-book before their stay. Second restaurant was more informal but very small and hot. The hotel was easy to find. Nothing for children to do, if children are allowed the hotel needs a games room.
